| 167s 7/12/02 A Dozen Short Poems -1- Fall asleep all alone, Far away from ones own home, All is lost and nothing's found, So when you get killed no one will hear a sound. -2- Everyone's special in his or her own little way, Why a twin even is different and has their own say, But when it all comes right down to it, In the real world that all means shit. -3- There was a god once on this earth, And it was he who gave this planet's life birth, But look at him now down in his grave, God is dead and no longer can save. -4- If pain is the only thing that's real, There's something bugging me, which is beginning to peal, Away all the lies and to see what is true, To feel love in a way which I never knew. -5- There is no eraser on the end of life, Which lead into many mistakes causing strife, But not always a clear solution one has the power to create, Unless you believe in that crap there's always fate. -6- You shouldn't have to grow-up too fast, So you should try to make your childhood last, But don't give up when the world comes crashing down on you, Because if you live through it think of all that you can do. -7- What is it about sleep we cannot control? Which often changes when we grow old, The time and amount is never the same, It's just the sandman playing his twisted game! -8- Writing poetry is so much fun, It kind of makes me want to grab a gun, And shoot up a whole to whole town square, Just to see if anyone would care. -9- It was early Friday morning and everyone was asleep, And the only creature to be stirring was a ravenous sheep, Who tore through each family member as it went Bleat, Bleat! Six dead and all that remained were their feet! -10- Whenever you're mad you say many things, That you don't really mean and just were sayings, But how do you determine what was said to be true, Well I can't help you, it's just something you need to learn to do. -11- Boredom comes and goes as it pleases, So do that annoying cough and those wheezes, But that's life for you with its gaps, In-between Madness, Happiness, and Relapse. -12- Why does anyone do the things they do? Can some things be predicted like if we knew, Exactly how this one person thinks, So we could interrupt all the chains in their links. |
