Tootsie and Rosie were out for a picnic on the beautiful green hills of Dairy Square.  In Dairy Square there are alot of pretty cows that have rainbow colored shawls on.  The green grass flowed like a satin river and stays the same length all the time.  Rosie picked out a nice shade tree for them to sit under.

Tootsie said, this will make a great place for us to enjoy our lunch.  And than maybe we could play some games too.  Rosie put down the blanket and laid out the food.  There was cherry cake, fried chicken, sunflower seeds.  Soon they were both eating as fast as they could so then could play a good game of hide-n-seek.

Rosie said, boy am I so full I could almost pop.  Tootsie started to laugh so hard that he rolled down a small hill they were on.   Watch out said, Rosie!  Are you alright Tootsie?  Yeah, I am fine Tootsie, said.

Tootsie was still laughing when they heard this little chirping sound.  What is that sound Rosie?  Rosie looked around and could not see anything about.  Don't know replied Rosie.  Well anyway let's go and play hide-n-seek, said Rosie.  So Tootsie was the seeker and Rosie the hider.

While Rosie was hiding under a big green bush she started to hear that noise again.  So she looked around and soon came upon a little bird.  Hi! said Rosie.  The poor little blue bird looked up at her and said, my name is Jewel and I am looking for my nest.  I fell out of my nest and wondered away and got lost.

Rosie quickly called Tootsie over and introduced them and said, we must find Jewels nest for her.  Tootsie agreed and off the three of them went in search of the nest.  Tootsie asked Jewel what does the nest look like?  Jewel said, well it has some green branches and some pretty yellow ribbon around it.  So they looked at more than ten trees and still could not find the right one.

Jewel started to cry when they came to the last tree.  Oh! What shall I do now, said Jewel.  Tootsie looked and could not see to the top and told Rosie to fly up there and see if she could see the nest.  She came down and told everyone that this is not the tree.  They all sat down and all were very sad.  Just than Tootsie looked over by a small stream and saw one more tree that they did not check out yet.  Hey, you guys!  Look there is one more tree left after all and I do believe I can see a ribbon in the tree, said Tootsie.  They all jumped up and started running towards the tree.

Rosie help me up there please, said Jewel.  So Rosie helped the little bird up the tree because the little bird didn't have her flying wings yet.  Jewel started yelling....I AM HOME, I AM HOME!  Thank you Tootsie, Rosie!  I could have never found my home bye myself.  They said their good-byes.  Tootsie and Rosie headed home.
