First.. click below to download an mp3 version of me busking in Bath. You will quite distinctly hear a flute player using my microphone, thus the amp. Yet Mr. Carter Environmental Health Officer stated as evidence in court that I was playing alone. He then conceded that there was a flute player also there... but claimed they were playing unamplified. Not so I said in court... and here's the proof!

A SONG OF PERSECUTION AND MIS-UNDERSTANDING (WRITTEN ABOUT THE ARTIST, VINCENT VAN GOUGH). THE VIDEOS ARE OF TWO PERFORMANCES IN BATH, UNAMPLIFIED, DURING THE DAY AND THEN EARLY EVENING. THE OTHER TWO VIDEOS ARE OF ME PERFORMING THE SAME SONG IN YORK, THE SAME TIME THE FOLLOWING DAY. BUT IN YORK I USE THE AMPLIFIER.

THE VIDEOS SHOW THAT IN BATH, DURING THE DAY, I STRAIN TO BE HEARD DURING THE DAY. IN THE EVENING IT SOUNDS A LOT BETTER, BUT YOU CAN HARDLY HEAR THE GUITAR. I ALSO SING IT IN A HIGHER KEY IN BATH, TO ALLOW ME TO GET MORE VOLUME. DURING THE EVENING PERFORMANCE IN YORK, A VAN ON THE ROAD NEARBY STARTS IT'S ENGINE. WITHOUT THE AMP I WOULD SIMPLY NOT BE HEARD. AS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY NOW IN BATH.
