MTV Asia Awards 2005 Winners
February 3, 2005
SINGAPORE/HONG KONG - In January this year, the MTV Asia Awards 2005 was repositioned into MTV Asia Aid, a global benefit in support of the recovery efforts taking place in Asia. This was a vital part of MTV Network's wider global response to the aftermath of the tsunami.
In conjunction with MTV Asia Aid, winners for the MTV Asia Awards 2005 were announced at the benefit event on 3 February 2005 at the IMPACT Arena in Bangkok. Winners for the 10 Favorite Asian Artist categories and six international categories were chosen through more than 16 million votes from fans and viewers. Siti Nurhaliza (Malaysia) and Stefanie Sun

The MTV Asia Awards 2005 will air as a separate one-hour show on MTV channels across Asia featuring segments on the nominees and winners on 3 February 2005 onwards.
