Title: geography and history
HALLO HALLO
I'm in Shanghai and it's about 7 degrees in day time. Funny how
Taipei seems a lot colder. Xiaorong Jie was explaining to me
about how Taipei is a valley and the wind directions and etc.etc.
can't remember, it's all very greek to me. I remembered my
geography teacher never passed me.
He was a stout man named Mr Chin (what a funny surname).
Because I was a very naughty girl when I was 13-14, I never
listened in any of my geog classes. I hated it as much as I hate
accounting. Therefore, naturally, I took history when I was in
secondary 3 and 4. However, I was STILL persistently restless,
so much so that my history teacher (a spinster at 40 with
periodically dyed jet black hair), had a private conversation with
me right before my 'O' levels, to ask me to drop the subject. I
refused. (even though I was graded E
I just dyed my hair jet black.
She always say "Don't just look at the tree, look at the forest"
Until now, I still think it's irrelevant to whatever she was
teaching, but it makes a lot of sense now.
