| Chapter 62 A few days later the last of the wedding guests arrived. Lucky and Emily were standing on the landing strip waiting for the Quartermaine jet to land. They were better now. In fact, they were better then they had been in a long time. Alice wasn�t between them. Lucky and Emily actually had fun without him freezing up suddenly. Emily decided that maybe was a good thing because of this. She might not want to repeat history but she was glad that it had happened. This didn�t mean that, Bethany had given up. She hadn�t and sooner or later Emily take care of the girl because no way was she going to let that bitch take her boyfriend without a fight! �Do you know who is coming?� Lucky asked Emily as the jet started to make its landing. Lucky was wondering if the pilot was crazy or Edward was just to pig headed to listen? Victor had warned Edward earlier that the jet was just too big to make a landing on this field. It would be better if they would come in on a smaller plane. Mikkos was very willing to lend him one but Edward wouldn�t hear of it. He said his pilot could land anywhere. �I have no idea. I do know father, mother, and grandfather are coming but I don�t know about the others,� Emily said as she closed her eyes when she noticed that the pilot got to close to the end of the runway. Lucky shook his head and muttered, �Fools.� �Stubborn is more like it,� Emily said. Lucky nodded and they watched as the jet slowly made its way towards the hanger where they were standing. The staff quickly got into place when the doors of the jet opened. Emily ran up to the stairs and stood there smiling as she waited for her parents. �Mom! Dad!� Emily cried out as Monica and Alan walked towards her. �Hi, honey,� Monica said greeting her daughter warmly. Emily noticed that her mother was a bit pail and she asked, �You ok?� �I�m fine but I�m going back in a car,� Monica said coldly as she looked behind her. �I�ll be glad to drive,� Alan said shaking his head and thinking about his father. He didn�t under stand why his father hadn�t listened and let the Cassadines send a smaller plane. This stunt almost got them killed and Alan knew it. Alan was very glad that he cut himself off from him. His life had been so much nicer without Edward around. �That bad?� Lucky asked as he walked up to greet Emily�s parents. �Yes,� Monica said. Suddenly the rest of the Quartermaines appeared, not only had Edward come but so did Tracy, her son Dylan, Max, his kids Al, Frank and Lesley, Ned, Lois, and their daughter Brooklyn, and of course Lila with Reggie. �All of them,� Emily muttered dreading spending any more time with Dylan then she had too. �Dylan,� Lucky muttered coldly as he saw the coming down the stairs with this grin on his face. �What a place,� Tracy said looking around at the estate. �Welcome,� Lucky said getting prince mode. It kept him from insulting a few of Emily members. Ned smiled and said, �Lucky, do someone who can get Grandmother off the plane?� �Yeah,� Lucky said and he looked towards the staff. �Go help Mrs. Quartermaine off the plane and be gentle.� The men nodded their heads and quickly went off to do what Lucky requested of them. �That landing strip could have been bigger,� Edward snapped as he walked down the stairs. �You were told that it wasn�t big enough,� Max snapped. �It should be,� Edward shot back. Lucky ignored this and said, �As soon as Lila is off the plane, I�ll be glad show you to your rooms.� �She better not get jarred,� Edward yelled. �Edward,� came Lila�s sharp voice. �Behave.� �I was just worried about your well fair,� Edward said turning around and smiling at his wife. Lucky giggled. He loved Lila. She was the only woman he knew of that could turn any man into putty that was including her husband. On the way up to the castle, Lila noticed the grand garden. �This place is lovely,� Lila said seeing all the different flowers that lined the pathway. �I�ll have the garden give you a grand tour and if you want any start up flowers to take home. They are yours,� Lucky said bowing at Lila. �Thank you and you have grand gentleman,� Lila said smiling at Lucky. �He is in prince mode. Don�t let the act full you, the real Lucky is still there,� Emily said hitting Lucky on the arm. Lucky smiled but didn�t react. He didn�t know what it was but something about certain members of Emily�s family that got to him. He had a hunch it was because all the trouble their had been between the two families a while back. �Man this place is big,� Al said still trying to take everything in but he was having trouble because of all there was to see. �I think my grandfather wants to make this a permit vacation home for all of us. This is why he added everything he did,� Lucky said grinning. �I�d live here,� Dylan said. �Not me, I can�t wait to go home,� Lucky said looking forward to the school year. It was going to be his senior year. He was looking forward to enjoying the time with Emily and his friend. Last year he had been hurt and so this was going to be a great time for him. He wasn�t going to miss it for the world. �Your nuts,� Dylan said shaking his head at Lucky. ********************************** While Lucky was greeting Emily�s family, Luke, Laura, Josh and BJ stood by the garage and waited for the others from Port Charles to arrive. Robert, Rae, Johnny, Kevin, Lucy, and Amy all climbed out of the van that Mikkos had sent to the airport. �Hi, mate,� Luke said walking to the door and greeting his partner. �This place,� Robert said looking around at how big the place was. �I know,� Luke said as he smiled at Rae and said, �Hello.� �Hi,� Rae said shaking her and at the sight before her. Lucy was the only one that didn�t see the grandness of the place. She felt all the death around her and she shivered. �You ok?� Kevin asked as they climbed out of the van. �Yeah,� Lucy said nodding her head. She wasn�t but didn�t want to worry Kevin besides how did she explain to him what she was feeling when she didn�t know herself. She figured she would work it out later and then she would tell him. Josh walked up to his brother and asked, �Enjoy the flight?� �Yeah, behaving?� Johnny asked. �No trouble,� Josh said as he greeted his brother. �My club still standing?� Luke asked as the group walked towards the castle. �Yes, the club is still standing,� Robert snapped as they walked. He never understood why Luke was so overprotective of that club. He had partners in the club since he went to prison but it was still his club. Robert would never understand it. �Just checking,� Luke said smiling. �Don�t let him fool you. He is enjoying this vacation without any work to do,� Laura said hugging Luke. Everyone laughed as Luke scuffed. Laura knew he was board out of his mind. The only thing keep him from going crazy at this moment was that damn mystery with the ghosts and finding the hidden treasure. Past that he would have gone nuts a long time ago. �Where are my kids?� Robert asked as they walked. �I have no idea. Robin and Zander have been busy doing something for Victor. You might ask him where they are,� Luke said smiling. Robert just nodded his head. He knew what the two were up to and hoped they were ok. Going in and out of peoples rooms was dangers specially if they were Cassadines. He didn�t want to see either one of them getting hurt. ************************** Robert did find Zander and Robin in Zander�s room a few days later. �I hope this helps,� Robert said as he dropped the file on the bed. Zander picked it up the thick file and asked stunned, �This on all of them?� �All of them,� Robert said coldly. �This family rates right up there with the Mansions.� �Don�t tell Lucky that he would want to became an orphan,� Zander laughed as he opened the file handing sections of it over to Robin. �You want to help?� �Why not,� Robert said and he sat down in the chair taking a section of the file from his son. ******************************* Emily sat on Monica and Alan�s bed watching as her parents unpacked. The staff had offered to do it but Monica hated people going through her personal things. She would rather do it alone. �So, how things going so far?� Monica asked. �Ok, Lucky and I had trouble because of a girl named Bethany but we worked things out,� Emily said smiling. �Lucky has eyes for another girl?� Monica asked stunned that didn�t sound like the Lucky she knew at all. �No, it is more like she wants him. She is one of the relatives that can marry a crown prince,� Emily said flatly. �Oh, one of those,� Monica said smiling. She heard from Bobbie there was always a risk of a gold chasers going after Lucky. This was one of the reasons why Mikkos liked Emily so much. He knew her family and knew what she wanted. Others that Lucky would come in contact would always be questioned. �Yeah, she still is trying but at least Lucky doesn�t think it is a joke any more,� Emily told her mother. Alan just hung up his clothes and kept his mouth shut. He liked Lucky but the problem was he never took Lucky and Emily�s relationship to seriously. They were teens and they had a long life ahead of them. He always thought that one-day things would end for them and they would go on. He was hoping they would stay friends. He just never thought about them getting really serous. �What�s the schedule around here?� Alan asked his daughter. �Nothing big until the wedding. You can even have your meals brought up to the room. It helps keep some of the family away from Mikkos and the others. Let�s just say, they aren�t to welcome around here,� Emily said smiling. �I bet,� Monica said finally finishing. �What to show us around?� �Sure,� Emily said and Emily jumped off the bed headed for the door.
