| Chapter 60 Luke spent the entire night thinking about his talk with the little ghost that managed to get to his heart. Luke figured that maybe it was because Nikka looked a lot like his own daughter that she got to him. You add the fact that there is something or someone wanting to hurt the people he cared about got to him. Luke problem was how was he going to get to help him figure this mess out. Luke figured Mikkos and Victor wouldn�t believe him and might even lock him up for his troubles. Sonny and Jason might do that as well so those four were out. Luke wasn�t ready to get his son involved in this just yet. So, his only choice left was Stefan. Luke was still doubting his choice as he walked into Stefan�s office early that morning. �Stefan, can we talk?� Luke asked as he sat down in the chair across from Stefan�s desk. Stefan looked up from the paper that he got from Lucky and asked, �Sure, what do you want?� Luke bit his lip and tried to think of a way to tell Stefan what he had to say without sounding like he was crazy. As Luke sat t here thinking, he caught sight of someone standing just off to the side looking intently at Stefan. It was a ghost. Luke realized that maybe if this was one of the good ghosts and with a little luck he might get Stefan to believe his story. �Stefan, what�s up with this curse?� Stefan choked and looked at Luke and asked, �Who told you about the curse?� �So there is one,� Luke said leaning back and looking intently at Stefan. �I�m not saying there is a curse,� Stefan said getting up and walking to his bookshelves to get a book to help him solve his puzzle. Luke watched the ghost from the corner of the room. It was like the guy was upset with Stefan about something. He kept on knocking the mirror making it swing just a bit. Stefan in the mean time was thinking about Luke�s last comment. �I don�t know who told you about this curse but it is just some old joke. I wouldn�t worry about it.� �Meaning, Mikkos ordered you to drop it,� Luke said smiling at Stefan. Stefan didn�t comment. He just opened his book and started to read. �Stefan, look I know for a fact there is a curse and I can prove it.� Stefan laughed and said, �Luke, the curse says anyone killed on these grounds will be trapped her forever until a crown prince confesses the crimes of the family. No way can you prove it!� Luke smiled and looked at the ghost. �Ok, then why is that mirror rocking back and forth.� �The castle is settling,� Stefan said. As if on cue, the mirror moved from the wall over to where Stefan was sitting. It was placed face down on the desktop. �You were saying?� Luke asked smiling at the fact that the ghost had actually done something. Then it hit him. The ghost was helping him and trying to get Stefan to listen at the same time. Luke figured out how to solve Stefan�s puzzle. �How did you do that?� Stefan asked looking at the mirror then over at Luke. Luke laughed and said, �I didn�t he did.� Stefan scuffed and said, �You say he. What does this he look like?� Luke shrugged and said, �A mixture of Mikkos and Victor. He is as tall as Victor and has his built like him but he has a lot of Mikkos in him.� Stefan�s jaw dropped open. There was no way Luke knew the man that came to Stefan�s mind. There were no pictures of him left at least not he ones Luke would have seen. �Where did you get that description?� Stefan asked. The ghost laughed and said, �The young one doesn�t get it.� Luke looked up in shock. �I can here you?� �Of course you can here me. Now tell me! Where did you get that description?� Stefan demanded. Luke glared at Stefan and said, �I�m not talking to you. I�m talking to the ghost.� �Oh, you are talking to the ghost. Have him tell him who he is to us?� Stefan demanded. �I�m your grandfather. I�m Darius Cassadine and would you please tell my name sake that if he looks into the mirror that he will solve his puzzle,� Darius said in frustration. Luke laughed at this and said, �He says that your name sake and he Mikkos and Victor�s father.� �The name?� Stefan demanded. �Darius Cassadine.� Stefan dropped into his chair. Not even Bobbie knew his middle name. No one knew that he was named after his grandfather to irk Merck. So was this real? Was Luke really seeing ghosts? Luke picked up the mirror and held it in front of Stefan. �He says to read the paper in the mirror. You will find your answer.� Stefan did what he was told to do and got a shock of his life. There it was the answer to the question he wanted. �How did he know? Oh, that�s right. He wrote it.� Stefan said answer his own question. Stefan looked up at Luke and requested. �Tell me what you know about the curse.� Luke put the mirror down and said, �Nikka told me that if the curse isn�t broken we die.� �The child didn�t say that,� Darius said smiling. �She said you join us.� Luke glared at the old man but didn�t say anything to him. Stefan looked at Luke and said, �We have problem.� �What kind of problem?� Luke asked. �Father. No way his he going to listen to us. He doesn�t believe in the curse.� �My son is a fool,� Darius muttered. �I agree,� Luke said but then again he away thought Mikkos was a fool. Darius smiled at Luke but didn�t comment further. He stood there listening to the two talk. Stefan looked at Luke and requested, �Could you not do that? It drives me crazy.� �Sorry,� Luke said smiling sheepishly. �He said Mikkos is a fool.� Stefan shrugged and nodded his head slightly. He didn�t know who the bigger fool was at this moment, him for believing Luke�s story about Ghost or his father for not believing ***************************** Laura was in her bedroom looking in her jewelry. The watch Luke had given her for Christmas was gone and so were a few other pieces. �Maybe, Lu has them,� Laura thought and she went to her daughter�s room to check. Lu was on the floor playing with her dolls when her mother walked into the room. �Lu, did you borrow any of my jewelry to play dress up?� Laura asked. �No, mommy,� Lu replied. �Ok,� Laura said turning around and leaving. She had left the jewels that Mikkos had loaned her for the dinner party on the dresser. The staff could have picked them up by accent. Laura went down to Victor�s office and knocked on the door. �Come in,� Victor called. He looked up to see Laura walking into the room. �Laura, hi. What�s wrong?� �I don�t think something is wrong but I�m missing something,� Laura said smiling shyly. She didn�t want to bother Victor with this but he was in charge of the jewels. He would know if the staff accidentally added her things with the others. �What are you missing?� Victor asked coldly. �How did you know?� Laura said stunned that he said that. �Because everyone else is missing something,� Victor said rolling his eyes. He had a thief and he knew it wasn�t the staff. It had to be one of the family but question was which one. �In that case, I�m missing my gold watch, some earrings and I think Luke�s cuff links are gone,� Laura said wondering when it happened. It had to be during the party because no way would anyone get into their room after wards. Her and Luke were in there almost all night. �I�ll make a note of it and if any things else turns up missing tell me,� Victor told Laura. �I will,� Laura said and she turned around and left. Victor sighed as he leaned back into his chair. Everyone was missing something or at least that is what is being said. The trouble is this made it look like the staff was doing it. He could look in their rooms to make sure but he knew they weren�t thieves. His problem was how did he get into the family�s rooms without getting caught. Victor finally leaned forward hit a button on his desk and said, �Zander come into my office.� A little while later Zander walked into Victor�s office to find him sitting in a big high back chair with this cold look on his face. �What Robin do now?� Zander asked. �She did nothing,� Victor smiling a bit as he pointed to the chair across from him. �Sit down.� Zander did what he was told and sat there waiting for Victor�s next order. �I have problem and I think you can help.� �Sure, what is it?� Zander asked sitting back a bit. �I need you to get into the others rooms and look for missing items. I don�t want anyone to know you are doing it,� Victor told Zander. �I need a look out,� Zander said. Victor nodded and he knew it couldn�t get on of the family involved. Mikkos would kill him if they got hurt. �Get Robin to help you. Your mother and father raised her. She should be able to help you out with this.� �Ok, but could you tell me what I�m looking for?� Zander asked puzzled. �You are looking for some stolen jewels,� Victor said and he told Zander about the missing items. ********************************** After leaving Victor�s office, Zander went to find his sister. He found her out by the pool laying out with Brenda. �Hi,� Zander said smiling as he walked up to the two women. �Hi, what�s up?� Robin asked smiling at her brother. �I need to steal you away for a bit. Do you mind?� Zander asked smiling at Brenda. He thought Brenda was hot and wished she wasn�t married. He might have enjoyed getting to know her better. �Sure, I�ll be back,� Robin said to her friend putting down the book she had been reading. �No, rush,� Brenda called. Zander and Robin went into a small room just inside the back door of the house. �What�s up?� Robin asked hoping that Zander wasn�t about to ask her to leave. �I need your help. Things have gone missing and Victor wants me to sneak into the others rooms to see if they turn up there. I was hoping you could help me do this,� Zander said smiling. �Your idea?� Robin asked. �No, Victor�s. I think he reasons because you are Anna�s daughter you would be good at getting into places,� Zander said smiling slyly at his sister. Robin nodded her head and said, �I�ll help. When?� �Tonight. It might be best when people are busy downstairs and don�t tell anyone we are doing this. It is hush hush,� Zander told his sister. �You got it,� Robin said and she left the room. She was missing a few things and realized now that someone could have taken them. She didn�t know but she was very willing to find out. ************************** Lucky, Emily, BJ, and Josh were walking down by the lake when Emily spotted Bethany. �Look how is coming,� Emily said smiling coldly. �Come on, Em. She isn�t that bad,� Lucky said glad to see a little bit of a green shriek in Emily. �An Dylan is a joy to be around,� BJ muttered. Josh laughed at this as Bethany walked up to them. �Hi,� the girl said smiling at Lucky. �Hi,� Lucky said smiling back. �You going for a swim?� Bethany asked. Josh rolled his eyes and said, �Mikkos doesn�t allow it. Lucky almost drowned in the lake and he is worried that someone might get hurt.� �Oh,� Bethany said and she laced her arms around Lucky�s arm. �I hope you weren�t hurt.� �He wasn�t,� Emily snapped pulling Lucky away from the girl. �I am now,� Lucky said rubbing his shoulder eyeing Emily just a bit. The girl was just being nice. He didn�t get why Emily was acting the way she was. Josh and BJ started to laugh but the cold hard look they got from Emily quickly quieted them. �Look, how about we do something together,� Lucky suggested trying to smile but it was hard when your arm was throbbing. �I like that,� Bethany said and she walked along beside the group never once moving an inch or two away from Lucky. Josh and Emily walked behind the three some giggling all the way. Either Lucky was blind to what Bethany was doing or he was enjoying watching Emily get upset.
