This is a different from the show!) Chapter 57 The family was so worked up over Gia and the baby that the day other Cassadine to arrive was suddenly upon them. They all woke up that morning dreading the day and the days to come. Victor was up way before the others were. Victor was trying to be quiet and not wake his wife but before he could walk out of the bedroom. Alex sat up and turned on the light. �It is only three am,� she said noting the time. �It can�t be helped. The family arrives today. If I don�t get to work, I�ll never be ready for any of them,� Victor said as he sat in the chair and put on his shoes. �That�s right today is the day they arrive,� Alex said not sounding very happy about the family arrival. �Afraid so,� Victor said standing up and grabbing his coat from the back of the chair. Alex dropped back down on the bed as she pulled the cover over her head. �Wake me when they leave,� Alex muttered. �I wish,� Victor said as he walked headed out of the bedroom. He had a lot of prep work before his family arrived. He wasn�t going to be taken off guard by them. He was going to be one step head of them. *************************** Laura rolled over reaching out for Luke but found that he wasn�t there. She opened her eyes and found her husband standing by the window looking out towards the lake. �Luke?� �Yeah,� Luke said in a lost voice. He was standing at the window watching as the figure of the boy he saw a few nights back stood looking up at the house with this lost longing look on his face. �Can�t you sleep?� Laura asked as she got out of bed and put on her robe. �No, I can�t,� Luke admitted. �Angel, don�t you ever get the feeling your not alone here?� Luke asked as Laura slowly wrapped her arms around his waste. �We aren�t alone. There is the staff and of course the family,� Laura said a little bit worried about Luke. He hasn�t been acting himself over the last few days. She was starting to fear that something was going on with the tumor and he just hasn�t said anything about it yet. �That�s not what I mean,� Luke said sadly. �Then what is it? Luke, you are really starting to scare me. You don�t sound like yourself,� Laura said looking at him with a growing fear. Luke smiled and kissed his wife and said, �It is nothing. I�m just wounded up because the family is coming.� �You sure?� Laura asked him. �Yeah, I�m sure,� Luke said and he guided her back to bed. Luke wasn�t about ready to tell her that he was seeing dead people and talking to them. She would lock him up and throw away the key. ************************************* By the time breakfast time arrived, the staff was already busy helping get some of the morning arrivals settled. �Here we go,� BJ said coldly as she played with her food. �That is one way of putting it,� Stefan said not bothering trying to eat. He wouldn�t get much down this day. �Come on, they aren�t that bad,� Ruby said trying to sound cheerful. No one commented. They just played with their food as they sat there listening to the doors open and close. Stefan finally gave up trying to eat and said, �I�m going to be in my office.� �Work sounds nice,� Alexis said getting up join him. �That�s an idea,� Laura said kissing Luke before leaving. �Does hang out in my room?� Lucky asked the kids. �Yes,� Michael and Victoria said gladly. Lucky smiled at them as the others slowly agreed that hiding in Lucky�s room was good as any place. At least, the family wouldn�t be popping in on them. As the kids left, Carly looked at Jason and asked, �What do you want to do?� �How about we go for a drive?� Jason asked her. Far away as this place as possible, because at this moment he wasn�t in the mood to deal with this family. He still had bad memories from the last time they were around. �I like that idea,� Carly said getting and leaving with Jason. Sonny and Luke looked at each other wondering what they were going to do. �What to find hidden passage ways?� Luke asked Sonny. �Why not at least we know they won�t be around,� Sonny said laughing as him and Luke got up. This left Alex and Bobbie alone. �What we do?� Alex asked. �I have no clue,� Bobbie admitted. �How about we saddle up the horses,� Alex asked. �Why not,� Bobbie said last ones to leave besides Ruby. Who just got up and went looking for Mikkos. ************************* Ruby found Mikkos in his office. �You hiding as well?� Ruby asked as she walked into the room. �No, are the others?� Mikkos asked smiling a bit. �You can say that,� Ruby said taking a seat across from him. �You sure you want to do this?� �Yes, I want to do this. They have hovering waiting for me to die. I want to see their faces when I tell them they aren�t getting a dime from me,� Mikkos said grinning brightly. �You have the right,� Ruby said smiling back, �but remember they are deadly when they pissed off.� �Victor keeps on reminding me of this,� Mikkos said as he as stood up and moved to the front of the desk. Ruby laughed and said, �It sounds like you heard it enough.� Mikkos nodded his head and said, �My brother is a worrier. He was born that way. Trust me, darling,� Mikkos said as he grabbed Ruby�s hand and pulled her closer to him. �I have everything under control.� ********************************* Sheila and Christie, the cousins that always chased Stefan around trying to get him to marry them, arrived a bit after breakfast with a surprise. They were married to very handsomely dressed men. The foursome walked up the stairs looking around at all the artwork and antiques that filled the hallways. In their room, Sheila and her husband Philip started to unpack. �Was I right?� Sheila asked her husband as she put away her clothes. �Oh, my dear you were right. This place is prime for the picking,� Philip said grinning brightly. Sheila and Christie didn�t marry into money like they always dreamed about but they did find two men that loved to live in high style. They finance this life style by a very old profession. They are cat burglars. They rob from very rich families by posing as Dukes or businessmen. This trip was a working trip for them because they hoped to leave with some of the Cassadine family jewels. �I�m glad you think so. Mikkos has always held his money over us and I always dreamed of sticking it to him some day. With you my dear, that dream is going to come true,� Sheila said going to her husband and kissing him passionately. �I will give what dream about,� Philip said kissing her back as he gave her a little shove and they fell down on the bed slowly removing each other�s clothing. ********************************* The next to arrive was two old friends of Carly�s or should I say two old nemesis of Carly�s. Darlene and Laurie arrived with their families. Strangely enough marriage and motherhood changed these two ladies. They grew up just like Carly had. The woman walked behind two year olds trying to keep them from touching everything in sight. �No,� Darlene said pulling her daughter away from a very fancy floor standing vase. Victor had been watching this with a mused look on his face. Darlene and Laurie both caused Carly great pains growing up. So seeing them, in this fashison was justices to him. Because no only they were mothers but also they looked like they worked for everything they had. They looked like they were no longer two spoiled rich girls and he knew they weren�t. They married blew their places in life at least that his how their parents saw things. So, they were both cut off from their parents finances forcing them to live on their own for the first time in their lives. �Victor,� Laurie said in greeting seeing Victor standing near the stairs for the first time. �Hello,� Victor said greeting the group warmly. �Hi,� came a small little voice for the girl at Laurie�s side. �What�s your name?� Victor asked grinning at the child. �Fay,� the child replied hiding a bit behind her mother. �Well, I�m glad you are here,� Victor said patting the child on the head and looking up at the woman that was showing them to their rooms. �Make sure the children know where the play room is,� Victor told the woman. �Yes, Mr. Cassadine,� the maid said bowing slightly to Victor before walking with the group. ******************************* The next to arrive was Bethany and her family. They were here for one reason and that was to get Lucky married to their daughter. Bethany�s mother was a distant cousin to Mikkos. The last time they were at Carly�s wedding. They came just to see if Lucky was the type of person they would want their daughter married to. When they left they realized he was and they been planning this day ever since. Bethany walked up the stairs dressed in blue jeans and a black t-shirt with some blues band marked on it. She talked to Lucky enough during that first meeting that she knew everything he liked. She was now going to show him that she liked the same things or at least that is how it was suppose to look. �Hello Victor,� Camilla Bethany�s mother said as she greeted Victor. �Hi,� Victor said in a cold tone of voice. He saw threw this right away because he was expecting at least a few of them. Lucky was the prince and he was target for every gold digger in this family. This was one of the reason�s Mikkos was glad to have Emily Quartermaine around. She was here to show this ladies that Lucky wasn�t up for the taking. �This is my daughter Bethany,� the woman said introducing Victor to the young girl. �Hi,� Victor said. �Where is everyone?� Bethany asked looking around for Lucky. �They are busy right now. They will be out later when we dinner,� Victor said bowing slightly to the girl. �That�s good,� Bethany said and her and her family walked away. �That�s one,� Victor said muttering to himself as he stood there watching the family vanish up the stairs. ******************************** Victor vanished about one and about this time the Jacks� arrived. Lady Jane was related to the Cassadine through her father. She thought it would interesting to see what the family was up to this time. She brought along with her this trip her entire family. Jax went along on this trip to see if he could get a business deal with Stefan on that new deal they have going on in Russia. Brenda, Jax�s wife, went along to see some old friends. She was happy for Ruby and wanted to be there when she got married. John and Jerry were there just to be there. As the family was showed to their rooms, Robin met them in the hallway. The only reason Robin stuck around this long was because of Brenda. She found out she was coming and thought it would worth staying just to see her friend. Besides she needed someone to talk to about all of this. Someone that she was hoping would be on her side. �Robin,� Brenda said hugging her friend warmly in greeting. �How you doing?� �Ok,� Robin said in a fake voice. �No your not,� Brenda said seeing through the fake smile on Robin�s faces very quickly. �No but I�m not in the mood to talk about it right now,� Robin told her friend looking around the Jax�s. �Ok,� Brenda said hugging her friend and then said, �How about we talk as I unpack.� �Deal,� Robin said as she walked along with the family to their room. Jax left Robin and Brenda alone to unpack. He had asked the maid about Stefan and found that he was in his office. He decided to start working on his deal this very moment while the women talked. �Out with it,� Brenda said as she unpacked. �Ok,� Robin said taking a deep breath. She slowly told Brenda the going on since she arrived. Brenda looked at her friend and asked, �You did this?� �Yeah, I did. Do you want to know something? I don�t know why. I thought it was right while I was doing it but now, I�m not so sure,� Robin admitted. �Well, we all do dumb things for love,� Brenda said thinking of all the things she did when she was young and going after Jason before becoming a model and finding Jax. �Yeah, but that wasn�t me. I don�t know what came over me. I wanted Nikolas and I was willing to play Gia�s game to get it. The trouble is she play the game,� Robin said sadly. �Don�t worry about it Robin, chalk it up to love,� Brenda said giving a hug. �Yeah, I guess,� Robin said and they talked more as Brenda unpacked.
