| Chapter 44 Emily woke up early one morning and headed down for breakfast. Em and some of her other girlfriends were heading to the mall for an all day shopping trip. Em still had a lot to buy before she even thought about packing for her trip to Russia. She still needed to get a dress for Ruby and Mikkos� wedding. So, far everything Emily looked at just didn�t quite look right. �Morning,� Emily said sounding very cheerful as she greeted both her parents that morning. �Morning,� Monica said kissing Emily on the cheek. �What does that paper say?� Emily asked as she got a glass of juice. �Same old same old!� Alan said with a smile as he handed the top page to his daughter. Emily laughed as she spotted a Lucky taking a tour of down town St. Petersburg. The suit he had on didn�t do him any justice at all. She wondered who managed to force him to ware that thing. �Poor Lucky!� Emily laughed. �I wouldn�t say that,� Monica said pointing to the article Emily looked over the article and noticed it was about how much money the Cassadines were planning on sticking into the Russian economy. �Wow!� she said looking at the grand total. �Tell me about it,� Alan said he couldn�t help but wonder if this would change the budget for the hospital any. �Well, I know Lucky doesn�t care about any of this. He is just doing it to keep the sharks he has as family members from destroying everyone,� Emily said sitting down to start eating breakfast. �Well, they are really causing a stir over there,� Monica said picking up the paper from the table and starting to found it. �Yeah, I know. I�m little worried about him. Damion might be dead but there are still a lot of people out there that would love to get their hands on him to get a big chunk of that change,� Emily said sadly. �That is why you are here and he is there,� Alan said smiling at his daughter. �Your father�s is right. Jason gave us a clue what Mikkos was planning and we thought it might be best if you stayed here until all of that is over with,� Monica said giving Em a worried smile. �I know. I figured that out once I learned of what Mikkos had planned. I just miss him that is all,� Emily said as she started to fill her plate to eat. She didn�t have much time left. The mall opened in about an hour and the plan was to spend the entire day shopping! ********************************* Robert woke was up bright and early that morning. He had a lot on his plate that day and needed to get it done. This morning he was at Kelly�s working on the bookwork and doing the ordering. He couldn�t help but wonder as he worked how he got hooked into running everything while Luke and the others were away on this vacation. Robert was under the counter counting how many napkins and other items they had under there when someone tapped him on the shoulder. �You have time for a break?� Rae asked him smiling down at Robert. Robert smiled back as he stood up. Rae coming into his life had been the best thing for him. She had done something that no one had managed to do yet and that was to push Anna out of his mind. Rae was level headed and very out spoken a change of pace for him. �A small one,� Robert said pouring himself a cup of coffee. �Good,� Rae said and they moved to a table off to the side to have some privacy. �You have long day planned?� �Yes, a very long day. Not only do I have to get ordering done here and the club but we have a shipment of coffee coming in this afternoon that I have to help check in,� Robert said smiling. �Two men doing five others work,� Rae said smiling. �Yeah, I can�t wait for this summer to be over with,� Robert said laughing a bit about all of this. He just knew that if Luke had a choice. He would rather be in here then were he was at this very moment. �This mean you will not have the energy to take me out to night?� Rae asked with a hopeful smile on her face. �I have the energy for you,� Robert said leaning over and kissing Rae. �No making out!� Tammy said as she walked out of the kitchen. �Who signs your pay checks?� Robert asked as Tammy walked past them. Tammy didn�t say anything. She just walked away laughing leaving Robert and Rae to talk more a lone before Robert forced himself to go back to work and Rae headed to the hospital. ************************************ Max Holden walked into Tracy Quartermaine�s office and said, �That old man is getting wise to us.� �Father has lost his grip on this family. We have nothing to worry about him any more,� Tracy said smiling as she looked over a file that lay in front of her. �You sound very sure of yourself,� Max said sitting down across from Tracy. The one thing he learned after taking on Asa and that was not to count anyone out until he was sure that they were dead. �Who is father going to turn to? AJ? Jason? Ned? None of them want to deal with father any more they are sick of his games. As long as we stick together and don�t let him pit each other against the other. We should be fine,� Tracy said as she stood up walking to the counter to get herself a glass of water. Max left the office right then. He didn�t trust Tracy. He knew she was like the other members of this family. The only thing any of them really cared about was themselves. He would keep a close eye on her to make sure she didn�t double cross him. ************************************* Emily was shopping with her friends when she ran into Dylan, Tracy�s son. Emily tried to go in another direction before he spotted her but it didn�t work. �Emily!� Dylan called out as he ran after her. �Hi, Dylan,� Emily said forcing herself to stop walking and stop to wait for Dylan to catch up. It was so nice when Dylan was away seeing his father. Emily�s life was so much nicer but now that he was back. She knew trouble was not far behind. Dylan was a lot like his mother spoiled rotten to the core. �Where is BJ?� Dylan asked. Emily groaned a bit at this. Dylan had this major crush on BJ. It didn�t matter that BJ couldn�t stand the sight of him. �BJ is in Russia with her family for the summer,� Emily said smiling at the hurt look on Dylan�s face. �I guess Josh and you are board without Lucky and BJ around?� Dylan said looking around for Josh. �Josh went with them,� Emily replied smiling even more at the jealous rage that suddenly flashed over Dylan�s face at the mention that BJ was with Josh all summer long without him causing them any trouble. �Why would they let him go?� Dylan asked. �Because Josh is Lucky�s best friend and BJ�s boyfriend. I�m joining them in a few weeks,� Emily said spotting her friends near one of the dress shops. �I have to go Dylan the girls are waiting for me. Later!� Emily said quickly rushing off.
