| Chapter 4 Lucky was working at Ruby�s the day after Alexis� baby was born. He was cleaning off one of the tables when the same lady reporter walked up to him. �Hi, Lucky! Right!� the woman said smiling at Lucky. �What do you want?� Lucky asked standing up and glaring at the young woman. �I just want to ask you a few questions that is all,� the reporter begged. �Sorry. I don�t talk to reports,� Lucky said and he started to walk towards the kitchen. �What is this it with this family? Do you have that much to hide?� the woman snapped at Lucky. Lucky just laughed and walked into the kitchen. The reporter stormed out of the dinner with AJ hot on her heels. �Hey, hold up,� AJ yelled as he ran after the young woman. �What?� she said not in the mood to be asked out on a date. She had a dead line to meet and so far she got nothing from the Cassadines. �Easy,� AJ said smiling as he walked up to the young woman. �I�d couldn�t help over hear you trying to get some information about the Cassadines. I�d thought I�d tell something about them,� AJ said smiling. �Who are you and what do you know about them?� the reporter asked. �I�m AJ Quartermaine and my sister dates Lucky. I know a lot about that family and I get a lot more,� AJ said smiling. �Ok, lets talk,� the reporter said and together her and AJ walked down the docks together. ********************************** Alexis was holding Anastasia when Mikkos walked in with this over sized Teddy bear. He placed in near the bed on the floor and walked to his daughter. �How are you?� Mikkos asked kissing Alexis and playing with the baby. �I�m fine,� Alexis said eyeing the bear. Mikkos smiled and said, �I couldn�t help it. This is my first grandchild that I get to watch grow up.� �Ok, I�ll give you this one,� Alexis said. She hated to admit it but she would love to spoil Anastasia herself. �Thanks,� Mikkos said and he lovingly played with the baby. Alexis looked at her father and asked, �You want to hold her?� �Me!� Mikkos was taken back by this offer. �What�s wrong father? Never held child before?� Alexis asked. �Truthfully?� Mikkos said eyeing the little life in Alexis� arms. Alexis smiled and pointed to the chair. �Sit,� Alexis said and with the help of the nurse. Anastasia was placed in her grandfather�s arms. Mikkos sat in the rocker holding his granddaughter eyeing her closely. �You�re doing good.� Alexis said to him. �Thanks,� Mikkos said taking in every moment with his granddaughter. *************************************** BJ was laying out taking in some sun with Emily when Bobbie walked up. She didn�t look happy and she was gripping this paper tightly in her hands. �BJ?� Bobbie called out. �Yeah?� BJ said sitting up and looking at her mother intently. �Your father did what he threatened. The court date is set for next week,� Bobbie said sitting down next to her daughter. BJ scuffed and said, �Well, I�ll do what have to do. The lawyer said I am old enough to decided who I want to live with and I pick you.� �Ok,� Bobbie said hugging BJ then leaving her alone with Emily. BJ sat up pulling her legs close to her chest and looking at her friend with an uncontrollable rage. �I hate his guts,� BJ snapped fuming. �I�m sorry,� Emily said not knowing what to say to her friend. She didn�t know how BJ felt because she wasn�t dealing with her issues. �I know. I just wish he would go away. Strange, I wanted him back but now he is here I don�t. I guess this will teach me watch what I wish for,� BJ said shaking her head in frustration. �Yeah, I guess it does,� Emily said sadly. ******************************** Today was the nanny�s day off and Carly had meetings all day. So, Jason was stuck taking care of the twins alone. He had forgotten what a hand full those two were alone. By the time he got one out of trouble, he found the other one doing something as well. �Ok, you two are driving daddy crazy. How about we sit down and read a story,� Jason said picking up both kids under his arms and heading for their bedroom. Nursery Rhymes made no since to him but if he was lucky then would drift off to sleep with in a few minutes and he wouldn�t have to finish it. Jason sat on the bed with the twins on either side of him reading �Green Eggs and Ham!� Jason was just about done with the book when he looked down to see both kids fast asleep. �Finally,� Jason said laying back and going to closing his eyes as well. Jason had been asleep for about an hour when he heard someone shoving the door opened. Jason sat up to find Victor standing there smiling at him. �I heard you had them alone,� Victor said looking down at his sleeping grandchildren. �You come to take over?� Jason asked hopefully. �No, but I�d help,� Victor said helping Jason climb out of the bed without waking either child. �I�ll take that,� Jason said and the two men left the room leaving the kids asleep on the bed. Jason and Victor sat down for coffee in the living room. �So, where have you been lately?� Jason asked his father in-law. Victor smiled and said, �We had trouble with one of the companies over seas. Stefan thought I�d might be able to help clean things up.� Jason laughed at his and dropped the subject. Victor hadn�t changed a bit over the years. He still did all the dirty work for the Cassadines and when he was sent in it was a last resort. Jason learned it was best not to ask to many questions on what Victor had done for the family. It was a little safer not knowing. �What did I miss besides the birth of Anastasia?� �You hear about Lucky?� Jason asked. �Yeah, I heard. I tried to tell Mikkos that car was a mistake for a sixteen year old but he wouldn�t listen to me,� Victor laughed. �Yeah, well. So far Lucky has been free for over twenty-four hours and no trouble. I�m hoping he learned something from his mistakes,� Jason said smiling. �Let�s hope so,� Victor said sipping his coffee and getting comfortable in the chair. �Anything else?� �Tony�s back in town and going after BJ and Lucas,� Jason said. �What?� Victor said this bit of information getting Victor�s attention. �What does the lawyers say about his chances?� �They say there isn�t one. Tony took off without a word and no one knew where to find him. They say Bobbie is going to keep the kids,� Jason said. �She better,� Victor said making a mental note on talking to the lawyers on what they have in mind to assure this out come. �You sound like your daughter,� Jason said shaking his head. �I raised her,� Victor said smiling an evil smile. Jason nodded his head on this bit of news and left out the part that Tony was working at the hospital. He figured Carly would tell her father sooner or later and there was no need to get Victor any more rallied up then he all ready was. ************************************************** Bobbie spent the morning talking to Lucas and BJ about the up coming court date. When she arrived at the hospital she was a little late and in a very bad mood. Things got worse for her when she realized today was Tony�s first day on the job. Most of her shift Bobbie managed to avoid running into Tony. It wasn�t until her break time that her luck ran out. Bobbie was sitting in the cafeteria sipping coffee when Tony walked up to her. �May I?� He asked. �This about work?� Bobbie asked in a cold impersonal tone of voice. �No, I was hoping we could talk,� Tony said. �Then sorry. I�m have nothing to say to you,� Bobbie said getting up and preparing to leave. �Bobbie,� Tony begged. Bobbie looked up at with this cold empty look and said, �You have something to say to me. Say it to my lawyers because I have nothing to say to you.� Bobbie walked away with that leaving Tony just standing there holding his coffee with everyone starring at him. Tony just shook his head and left the cafeteria as well. ******************************************** Mikkos was heading home to Spoon Island when BJ called him. She didn�t tell Mikkos what she wanted but she sounded upset. So, he went to see the teenager at her house. He found BJ out back by the pool crying. �What�s wrong?� Mikkos asked walking up and sitting next to the young girl. �I need you to tell me he isn�t going to win,� BJ said brushing the tears away. �Who isn�t going to win?� Mikkos asked puzzled at what she was talking about. �My father! Didn�t Stefan tell you that he is back and he plans on taking custody of me and my brother?� BJ said. �What?� Mikkos said trying very hard to control his rage. Why didn�t anyone tell him that Tony was trying this? He knew why but that didn�t make it any better. �BJ, I want you to tell me everything,� Mikkos commanded and he sat there as the young girl spilled out her story. When Mikkos heard that Tony hit her. He almost erupted right then and there but he kept his temper in check at least in front of her. �BJ, I swear to you that Tony isn�t going to win this. I�ll make sure of it. No one is taking you from your mother. Or Me,� Mikkos said kissing BJ on the forehead. �Thank you,� BJ said feeling better now that she heard Mikkos himself that things will be just fine. Mikkos gave BJ a big hug and ordered, �You go find your friends and enjoy the day. Don�t worry about any of this.� �Ok,� BJ said kissing Mikkos back and then leaving. **************************************** Mikkos was in a rage by the time he found Stefan working on files back on Spoon Island. �What are you working on?� Mikkos demanded as he stormed into the den. �Looking a contract. Why? What happened?� Stefan asked. It had been a long time since he saw his father in this kind of a mood. �Drop it! Drop everything! I want you to be working on keeping Tony from BJ. One way or the other Stefan that man isn�t going to take that child from her mother,� Mikkos said and the unspoken threat was very clear to Stefan. �You talked to BJ,� Stefan said realizing the only way Mikkos heard about this was for the girl herself. �Yes, I did. You tried to hide this from me but you failed. Now, get moving because if Tony wins. He dies along with that blond he shacked up with!� Mikkos threatened and then left. Stefan ran his hand through his hair and groaned in frustration. �BJ, you don�t know what you just did,� Stefan said out loud. Mikkos threat wasn�t an idle one. He would kill Tony and Felicia to make sure that BJ never left Bobbie�s care. Stefan now had to make sure that Tony lost this case any way he could to prevent the deaths. *************************************** After spending the afternoon talking to AJ Quartermaine, the lady reporter sat down at her desk and work. �Angie, how the Cassadine story going?� Sam her editor asked as he walked up to her. �I think I finally got some where with it,� Angie said handing over copies of Emily�s diary. Sam looked over the pages and looked at Angie and asked, �Can you back this up?� �I�m working on it right now. If the family doesn�t talk then I�m sure I can find people connected to them that will. I just have to keep digging,� Angie said. �Do it and good work,� Sam said putting the pages back down on Angie�s desk and heading to his office.
