| Over the next few mouths, Luke and Laura fought to help Lucky deal with is troubles. Monica and Alan started to rebuild their lives as long with Emily. So, by the time summer came everyone was ready for a distraction. Chapter 36 Lucky and Luke sat down stairs six that morning waiting for Laura and Lu to come down stairs. The house was already full of trucks. They didn�t think there was anything else left to pack up there. �Mommy, why can�t I see the Queen?� Lu asked as she helped her mother finish up the last minute packing she had put off until Lucky and Luke was out of the way. If they learned what Mikkos had ended up agreeing to they would never got on the plane. �Ssh,� Laura said looking behind the door. �Daddy and Lucky, can�t find out about this. Now, you�re to little but I promise with your first show to do there. You will not be left out to much, beside Grandpa promised that you will have plenty to do when we get to Russia,� Laura said hugging Lu. �Ok,� Lu said and she finished helping Laura pack. ************************************ �Mom, I keep on thinking I am forgetting something,� BJ yelled as she looked around her almost bare room. �You got to be joking,� Stefan muttered thankful that most of this stuff was going on the third plane or they would never get into the air. BJ glared at him as she grabbed the last bag from the floor. �At least I�m not taking my entire office,� BJ snapped. �I�m working on this vacation,� Stefan reminded her as they went down starts. Bobbie laughed. BJ and Stefan had one of those relationships that if they weren�t cutting each other up they weren�t happy. The only person that got Stefan to act this relaxed was Alexis. �Come on Lucas get we are leaving,� Bobbie yelled. �I�m coming,� Lucas said grabbing his bag and still not missing a beat in on his game. Stefan watched Lucas walk down the stairs with his game. �You remember what I told you. You turn that thing off on take offs and landings. You have it on and it is mine,� Stefan said. �Got it,� Lucas snapped. ******************************* �Let�s see!� Carly said looking around at all the trunks. �Toys, clothes, shoes, books,� �I think we have everything,� Jason said. He swore Carly was taking the twins entire room. If she put any more stuff in these trunks they were going to have to leave some of their own stuff behind. �Yeah, it will do,� Carly said looking around for the twins. �Where did they go?� �Latisha took them down stairs already. We are late and Mikkos is going to kill us. So, let�s go,� Jason said grabbing his carry on bag. He was grateful that the men were going to bring the trunks in the van. He wouldn�t want to carry any of them. ********************************** �Alexis, Mikkos will have everything we need when we get to Russia,� Sonny muttered as he watched Alexis pull the baby stroller out of the closet. �If you think I�m carrying her around all over England your nuts,� Alexis snapped. �Ok, fine,� Sonny said opening the stroller and putting his daughter in it. He then stacked the other bags around it. This thing came in handy for something,� he thought as he worked. �Ok, I think that is it,� Alexis said picking up her laptop, her brief case and her carry on. �Oh, no,� Sonny said holding out his hand and grabbing a bottle of water from the bar. �You are taking these before we leave.� �What are they?� Alexis asked eyeing her husband. �Tranquilizers. Stefan said he wasn�t going to fly unless you took them,� Sonny said laughing. Alexis glared at her husband but took the pills. She hated flying and her brother and husband knew it. At least this way it would help her from having a fit around her father. After taking the pills, Sonny, Alexis, Tasha and the nanny all headed down stairs. *************************************** �He found out. He isn�t coming. Hell, I�m be surprised if Lucky didn�t vanish with him,� Mikkos complained as he paced in front of the planes. �Luke doesn�t know,� Ruby said very sure of this because he did. Luke wouldn�t leave town he would kill them all for lying to him. �You sure?� Mikkos asked. �Yes, I�m sure. None of us is dumb enough to tell Luke the truth at least until we get to England,� Ruby said smiling sheepishly. Mikkos sighed and said, �If this didn�t mean so much to all of us I say tell him but he�d never go along with it. Hell, still not sure he will go along with it now.� �Mikkos, calm down. Look, Luke isn�t that hard to convince. You just have to know how to talk to him,� Ruby said lying to her teeth. Mikkos eyed her coldly and said, �Ruby, you are not fooling me. Luke is hard to convince of anything. No way am I going to talk into playing prince for a few weeks.� ************************************* Lucky was helping his father pack the Caddy when he spotted Emily standing near the elevator. She was wearing her rob but to Lucky she looked like a dream. �Hey,� he said smiling as he walked over to Emily. �Hey, yourself,� Emily said kissing him. �I�m going to miss you,� Lucky said as they parted just a bit but didn�t leave each other�s embrace. �I�m going to miss you to but we will have all of July,� Emily said grinning. �I know. I wish you could talk your parents letting you spend the entire summer with us,� Lucky wished. �I know but I do get see Max and his kids for a few weeks. I�m kind of looking forward to it as well,� Emily said grinning. �Yeah, but you will not be with me,� Lucky said and they started to kiss again this time a bit deeper. After a moment or so, Jason walked over grabbed Lucky by the back of the neck and pulled Lucky way from his sister. �I want say good bye as well,� Jason said eyeing Lucky closely. �Yeah, got it,� Lucky said grinning as he winked at Emily before heading back to help his father finish packing. Jason leaned over kissed Emily on the cheek and said, �If Max gives you any trouble call me. I�ll come running.� �I will and you�re still my favorite brother,� Emily said hugging Jason. �We your favorites�?� Michael and Victoria asked as they stood near Emily. �Yes,� Emily said bending down and hugging the twins. �You be good for your daddy or I�ll not bring you anything when I arrive in Russia,� Emily said eyeing both of them. �Well be good,� Victoria said promising. �Yeah, no fighting,� Michael said grinning. �They wish,� Jason muttered. Emily just laughed and took the twins hands to help them into their car seats. Emily stood there waving as the three cars pulled away. She said good by to the two nanny�s and Mrs. Carlson who got the thankless job in making sure all the trucks got packed and made it to the airport. ******************************** �Josh, they are going to be here in a few minutes,� Johnny yelled at his brother. �I�m coming,� Josh said shoving the trunk that he bought out into the living area. �Why don�t you just take a extra suit case?� Johnny asked wondering why is brother had to pack so much. Josh shook h is head and said; �I�m stay for a summer not a few days besides, I need this anyway for collage.� �Good point,� Johnny said smiling as he stacked Josh�s suitcases on top of the trunk then helping his brother start carrying it down stairs. �You will be good,� Johnny warned his brother as they headed out the door. �I�ll be good,� Josh promised grinning at his brother. �I�m worried about the trouble. I�m worried about the fact that you are going to very near BJ for the next few mouths. Remember little brother it only takes one time.� �God, that you think about?� Josh complained. �No, that is all you think about,� Johnny snapped as he put the trunk down on the sidewalk. �It is not. Look, I know what I�m doing with BJ and how for to go. Ok, I want to a doctor and I�m not going anything blow it,� Josh promised Johnny. �Ok, I believe you,� Johnny said smiling. Luke showed up a moment later they loaded the Caddy and Josh said good bye to his brother then he jumped into the car. Luke looked at Johnny and said, �I�ll watch after him. You take care of my club!� �Deal,� Johnny said patting the side of the car as Luke pulled into traffic. ************************************ Robin sat there watching as Zander did his preflight check. �Nikolas was quiet,� Robin commented. �Yeah, Nikolas and Gia are having troubles. She isn�t happy that Laura booked her all summer and Nikolas will be with her. He choice the family over her,� Zander said checking the gages in front of him. �Oh, poor thing,� Robin said coldly. She didn�t like Gia not one bit. She thought Gia was nothing but a snub. �Yeah, I know you really feel so sorry for her,� Zander said laughing. �I do feel sorry for Nikolas though, I know how much he cares for her,� Robin added sadly. �Yeah, but I don�t think he loves her that much,� Zander said grinning. �You think it is over between them?� Robin asked. �It is heading that way. I think Nikolas is seeing her weakness now more then he has in a long time,� Zander said. �About time,� Robin said grinning. Zander didn�t comment. He just kept on working. He had be ready to take off when the others arrived. Mikkos was jumpy the way it was he didn�t need any more delays. ********************************* Nikolas was outside when Stefan, Bobbie, BJ and Lucas pulled up in their car with a van load of trunks behind them. Nikolas eyed the van noticing it was riding a bit low. �No, comment,� Stefan said as he climbed out the car. �I�m not saying a word,� Nikolas said grinning. �Victor is running the preflight check in one plane and Zander is taking care of the other one. We get the pleasure of making sure all the luggage is stored right.� �How did we get that job?� Stefan asked. �You were late,� Nikolas said grinning grabbing the bag BJ was trying to pull out of the car. �Ready for this trip?� �As I�ll ever be,� BJ said looking at either plane. �That one,� Nikolas said reading the girls thoughts. �Thanks,� BJ said going towards the plane that Nikolas indicated. Nikolas watched the van head towards the larger plane that was going straight to Russia from here. Not only was it carrying most of the luggage but it was also carrying the supplies and the few personal staff that Mikkos was taking along with them. He hired most of the other staff from the locals. He just wanted to make sure that nothing went wrong with the wedding. So, Mrs. Lansberry, and a few others were going along to make sure of it. Nikolas glad that he didn�t have to make sure that plane was packed right or they might never get out of here. Mainly because, that van only carried Stefan�s families part of the luggage there was more to come with the other families. While Nikolas and Stefan were loading the plane, Alex arrived with her stuff. She had to stop by work making sure she didn�t forget any detail there. She was turned over the hospital to her new assist chief of staff Alan Quartermaine. Alan and her did the run down of what needed to be done while she was gone. It took a lot of doing not only to get Alex and Bobbie off for the entire summer but Carly as well. In fact, Alex was carried half of Carly�s office in side her car at that very moment. Carly and Stefan were working this summer at the mansion. All the files from both the empire and the hospital were going along over in the larger plane. Stefan walked over to Alex�s car and asked, �That everything?� �I think so,� Alex said as she climbed out. �Let�s hope so. That plane is getting full and we still have to load not only Luke�s Caddy but the other luggage as well,� Stefan commented as he watched as Lucky�s car was being loaded. Mikkos was really buttering up on this trip. As much as he was doing to please Luke and Lucky it was amazing they hadn�t figured out something was up yet. �If Mikkos had to order another plane I think he will do it just to make sure that car gets over there,� Alex laughed. �I think so as well,� Stefan laughed taking care of Alex�s carry on. *************************** �Where�s Luke?� Mikkos asked as Sonny got out of his car moments later. �Easy man, he went to pick up Josh,� Sonny snapped. He hated lying to Luke. He thought that Luke should know about all of this before agreeing to this trip but he got out voted alone with Jason. Their wives went as far as to threaten to toss them out of the bedroom if they even thought about opening their mouths. Alexis patted her father on the shoulder and handing him Tasha, �Why don�t you hold her and calm down,� Alexis said smiling. Mikkos couldn�t help but relax. Tasha was a jewel to him. She was the first child he ever held and to him that made her special. *********************************** A little bit later, the luggage from the penthouses arrived and right behind them was Luke. Mikkos didn�t comment much when Luke showed up. This got to Luke mainly because he had caught the ass kissing from Mikkos but didn�t guess what it was about yet. He figured the old man was scared he would turn down this trip. Luke kind of liked how Mikkos was acting so he didn�t comment about it. It took about another hour to get all three planes ready for take off. Luke had to watch as the Caddy was pulled on to the plane. No way was he going to leave until his car was strapped down. Mikkos couldn�t help but wonder why that car meant so much to Luke for. It wasn�t that great of shape. Why did he love it? The caddy was one of the few mysteries that Mikkos had left to solve of Luke. He had him figured out the rest of the way or thought he had. Chapter 37 Back to Trials of Love |
