| Chapter 34 ELQ�s board meeting arrived faster then anyone thought it would but they were ready. Emily decided not to tell Lucky anything about what was going on. She thought it would be best if this stayed within their little group. Not that she didn�t trust Lucky, but she didn�t want anything to happen for their plans to backfire. Ned and Lila knew about the plan. Edward was the only family member that was in the dark that was going to be at the meeting. Ned was the first one to arrive. Edward took one look at his grandson and said coldly, �Well, glad you could make it. I thought written us off.� �Edward,� Lila sculled coldly as she walked towards Ned. �I missed you.� �I missed you too. Lois mother is doing better. We should be coming home soon,� Ned said hugging his grandmother. �I�m glad,� Lila said as she pulled away. �I haven�t noticed that you were gone,� Edward said not bothering to even look at Ned. �Thanks, I haven�t missed you either,� Ned said walking to the bar and getting himself a drink. �Ignore him,� Lila told Ned. �He has been hard to live with since Monica and Emily moved out.� �I�m surprised that Monica left the house. I mean it is hers,� Ned commented. �Alan can have it,� Monica called out as she walked into the room. Ned smiled at her and walked to her. �I heard about the baby. I�m sorry,� Ned said hugging Monica. �It�s ok. That is how things worked out,� Monica said hugging Ned. Ned spotted Jason standing beside his mother and Ned at his cousin. �How are the twins?� �Big? Brooklyn?� Jason asked. Edward stood there watching them with his disproving look on his face. �I�m amazed. The three of you run out on this family but you came back now? Why?� Jason looked at Edward coldly as he said, �I�m here for my mother. I don�t trust you are my father. She just got out of the hospital and doesn�t need the stress.� �I�m here because I�m part of the board. I�m not letting you or Alan run me off. At least until Emily is old enough to take my stock from me,� Monica said as she sat down at the couch. Lila sat there smiling. She couldn�t wait to watch Edward�s face as his family joined forces for him even after everything he has done to them. Alan and Skye with Adam walked into the room. �Chandler,� Edward yelled. �What you doing in my house.� �My house,� Monica said. �You moved out,� Alan snapped back. He looked at his father and said, �Skye�s uncle is well in this house.� �Uncle? That�s Adam Chandler,� Edward yelled. �No, this my Uncle Stuart. He is my father�s twin brother,� Skye said walking to the room and greeting everyone very warmly. �I�m sorry about your baby,� Skye said to Monica. �It is ok,� Monica said biting back the rage that was building within her. She couldn�t wait to stick it to Skye and her father, Adam. �Well, since we are all here. We might as well get started,� Edward said as he moved towards Lila to start the board meeting. There wasn�t even much back fighting during the first part of the meeting. Edward was surprised at this but didn�t complain much. Everything he wanted to pass did. It was when he asked for any new business that things got interesting. �I do,� Skye said standing up. �You don�t have any shares,� Edward pointed out to Skye coldly. �Yes, I do. My father gave me two percent of his shares. I also sorry to say Edward have Tracy proxy. I liked what you came up with so I didn�t say anything about it when you voted a while back. You add the fact that I have AJ�s votes as well. I�m very much part of this board,� Skye said coldly. �You what?� Edward yelled feeling very out raged and betrayed by his family. �Sorry,� Skye said smiling. �I have a proposition for the board. I want to take ELQ public.� �NO,� Edward yelled. �Over my dead body.� �That is your vote. I want to hear the others,� Skye said smiling smugly. It was Tracy that through the first blow. �I say no,� Tracy Quartermaine said as she walked into the room. Ned smiled. This was the first time he was actually glad to see his mother. Skye was speechless and so was Adam. He didn�t know what was going on but he had bad feeling all of a sudden about it. �Same here,� Lila said grabbing Edward�s hand. �I vote no,� Ned said replied. �So, do I,� Jason said. �Me two,� Monica said smiling at Adam. It was Alan that did the rest. �Sorry, Skye but you didn�t hear me the other day. I gave my daughter two percent of my shares and the only daughter I have is Emily.� �I vote as well,� Emily said from behind the group. She stood not only with Robert but Liza, Tad Martin, Stuart, Max and Rae. �Hello, Adam,� Stuart said walking to his brother. �You messed up when you got yourself caught on camera.� Adam cursed. �I figured Martin would pull a stunt like this off but my own wife and brother?� �Sorry, we aren�t as loyal to you as the Quartermaines are to Edward,� Liza said smiling. �And I�m going to be your ex wife soon. And by the time I�m done, you will not even know you have a daughter.� �We will see about that,� Adam said and he ran out of the room. �Father,� Skye said pleading with Alan. �Give it up,� Max said walking over to Skye and pulling her to her feet. �He knows that he never had a daughter by Rae but a son. I�m that son. So, get out of this house now!� �You heard him,� Monica said. �I agree,� Alan replied coldly. Skye looked at the room with cold hard eyes. �I�m not done yet.� �The hell you aren�t,� Tracy commented stepping out of the way to give Skye room to leave. Lila patted Edward�s hand and said, �You see your family does love you. If you only give them a chance.� Edward didn�t comment. He just looked at Tracy and said, �What are doing here?� Tracy smiled and kissed her father. �I love you, too.� Everyone laughed at this and Alan introduced Lila and Edward to Max.
