| Chapter 33 The next day Alan called Skye and asked her to meet him at the PC Grille. Skye walked into the dinning hall and spotted Alan sitting at a booth near the back of the room. �I thought you didn�t want to see me again,� Skye said as she sat down across from Alan. �I was upset and I�m sorry. I shouldn�t have taken my rage out on you. It wasn�t your fault how things turned out. I should have told Monica about you sooner,� Alan said smiling as he reached over the table and grabbed Skye�s hand. �It�s ok. I understand,� Skye said smiling. She was starting to pack her things when Alan called. She had thought she had blown it with the events at the club but now it looks like things were back on track again. �Skye, I have been thinking about what you said about all of this being my father�s fault. You are right. It is his fault. If it wasn�t for him, Monica might not have left. Emily would be talking to be and Jason might have let me near my own grand children but as it is none of that is going to happen. I keep thinking about getting even but the trouble is my father only loves his company,� Alan said sadly. �Why don�t we take it from him,� Skye suggested. �My votes aren�t enough. Ned would never side against Grandfather for me and I don�t think Monica would vote for me,� Alan said sadly. �Don�t worry about them. Let me deal with them. I have ways of getting people to see things my way,� Skye said smiling slyly. �Ok,� Alan nodded. �You do that and I�ll sign my daughter over to percent of my shares. It will help give her a reason to be at the meeting.� �Thank you,� Skye said smiling as she leaned forward and kissed Alan on the cheek. �Don�t mention it,� Alan said. Behind them Ted and Liza sat there listening to this. They were impressed that Alan was luring Skye into their trap so easy. Now they had to make sure that Adam went for Monica�s bait as well and they would be ready for the Board Meeting later that week. ******************************** Lucky sat in the courtroom waiting for everything to begin. He heard of Damion and Sam�s deaths� already. He knew that his father or grandfather or both had a part in it. He really didn�t care. He was just glad that Damion was out of his life forever. All he was worried about now was dealing with this up coming trial. The judge entered the room right then and everyone stood up. The judge waved his hand and everyone sat down. The judge heard what the case was about and looked at Claude, Alice and their two lawyers. �Your pleads?� One lawyer got elected as spokesmen for both clients. �Guilty, your honor.� Dara�s jaw dropped open. She didn�t expect this. The last time she talked to Alice or Claude they were both saying they were innocent. In fact, Alice said she had a date with Claude that night and she was kidnapped along with Lucky. She had no idea what was going on. The judge nodded his head and then turned to Dara. �You except this plead?� �Yes, your honor,� Dara said looking over at Taggert. Who was looking at the Cassadines. He was already figured that Mikkos got to Sam and Damion and it looks like Mikkos got to the other two as well. Taggert got the feeling that this was Cassadine justice not regular justice. The judge nodded his head and said, �We will have a sentencing hearing a week from today. Court adjourned until then.� The judge stood up and then left. Alice and Claude were showed out of the courtroom and everyone else started to leave. Taggert walked over to Mikkos grabbed his arm and said, �I don�t how you did it but I�m going to prove it. Your will not use me or my men for your own person games.� Mikkos smiled and said, �I have no idea what you are talking about.� Mikkos pulled his arm out of Taggert�s grip and the group left. Lucky looked over at his father and said, �I�m going for a drive.� �Sure, but take Zander and Nikolas with you. The press might get wind of this,� Luke suggested. �Sure,� Lucky said and the three boys left. Mikkos turned to Luke and asked, �What is bothering him?� �I can�t tell you. I promised Lucky and don�t push it. Let Lucky tell you in his own time,� Luke said as he patted Mikkos on the shoulder then took Laura�s arm before leaving the courthouse building. *********************************** Zander drove while Lucky sat in the back seat leaning his head against the side of the car. Nikolas looked at him and asked, �You told them didn�t you?� �Yeah, Dad talked to Kevin. He came over last night and we talked a bit. He helped a bit but I still feel like I did something wrong,� Lucky said sadly. �You didn�t,� Zander said. �I know that but that is how I feel,� Lucky said sadly. �You upset because you responded or that it happened?� Nikolas asked. �Both I guess,� Lucky said. Zander looked back at Lucky and said, �Well, Victor told me once that that part of you doesn�t have a brain. It reacts when it wants to react.� Nikolas rolled his eyes and said, �That sounds like Victor.� �Yeah it does doesn�t,� Lucky said laughing. �Well, in away he was right. Look, your sixteen. You have hormones that are out of control twenty-four seven. What Alice did was use that against you. Hell, I bet any one of us would have reacted the exact same why in your place. Stop kicking yourself over it,� Zander said. �He�s right,� Nikolas said. �You didn�t do anything wrong. She is the one that was wrong but touching you like that.� �Yeah, I know,� Lucky said and he smiled. He didn�t know why but it didn�t feel so hard to talk to Zander and Nikolas about this as it did his father. He guessed maybe it was because of the their ages. They were closer to his age and understood at least half way how he was feeling about this. �Let�s take one of the planes up. I bet flying around a bit will help you relax,� Zander suggested. �Sure,� Lucky said pushing things out of his mind for awhile and just enjoying the day. ************************************ Monica was at home trying to put her life back in order when Stuart or Adam showed up. Monica greeted him warmly as she let the man inside. �I am happy that you will see me. I didn�t think you would after what happened at the club,� Adam said smiling as he walked into the penthouse. �I don�t blame you or even Skye. We are all victims of Edwards� control,� Monica said coldly. �You blame him for all this?� Adam asked trying hard to hide the smile that threatened to over take him. �Yes, why not?� Monica asked coldly. �He treated Alan, then AJ like dirt. They both tried very hard to get Edward to look at them. When it didn�t work! They blamed others in their lives for it. Hell, my son crawled into a bottle because of Edward's control. I can�t blame Jason or Emily for cutting him out of their lives. I�m glad they did,� Monica said as she sat down on the couch and Adam sat down in a chair near by. �I�m sorry that Edward has controlled your life in this way. My brother is the same way and he only loves one thing and that is his company,� Adam said mimicking what others had always said about him. �Adam and Edward would get a long perfectly,� Monica said sarcastically. �No, I don�t think so but they are a lot like,� Adam said slipping a bit and reverting to himself. Monica didn�t miss this slip up but she didn�t let on that she caught it. Adam quickly covered up his slip up by saying, �You know with men like Edward and my brother, when they only love that one thing. The only way to really stop them from hurting others in their lives is take that thing away from them.� Monica pretended to think about this for a moment. Then she said, �Your right but how would I do that? I mean I would need the others to back me up in anything that I would come up with.� Adam smiled and said, �Skye is a lot like my brother. When Adam turned her out she got upset. She like you blamed Edward for all her pain. She managed to talk to your son AJ to get him to sale her his ELQ stocks. Alan�s own sister is even given her proxy vote.� �Not bad and if Alan votes her way then she is half way there,� Monica said pretending to think about something. �Stuart, tell Skye that what ever she comes up with I�ll be glad to vote her way. I think it will best for all of us if men like Edwards got their comings up.� �I will,� Adam said smiling. He stayed for a bit more just chatting to Monica. After Adam left the real Stuart came out of Monica guest bedroom. He had been listening to the whole thing. �Oh, is Adam on an ego trip,� Stuart comment. �Do you think he suspects anything?� Monica asked. �No, I don�t he does. I think he really believes he will get ELQ,� Stuart said. �That�s good,� Monica said smiling. She couldn�t wait to stick it to Adam and he darling daughter Skye. ******************************** Lucky, Nikolas and Zander walked into Lucky�s parents� penthouse about six that evening. Lucky was laughing about something that Zander had told him in the car. Luke and Laura watched as their son laugh all they way into the kitchen. �That Lucky?� Laura asked puzzled. �I think so,� Luke said. �I wonder what they said to him?� Laura muttered. �I don�t care. As long as he starts pulling out of this slump he has been in over the last two days,� Luke said pulling Laura to him and going back to what they were doing when Lucky came in.
