| Chapter 26 Luke was sitting at his desk waiting for his wife. He knew Laura. He knew that she was going to walk into the office and try talking him into taking down Helena�s picture. He wasn�t going to do it. Now way was Laura going to do it! He kept on telling himself this over and over again to build up some reserve against his wife. Luke thought he was ready when the door opened and Laura came inside but he was wrong. He took one look at his traveling bag and knew she had him. He didn�t show it at first but deep down he knew that picture was going to come down. �You don�t play fair,� Luke said looking at his wife. �What do you mean?� Laura said smiling this plane simple smile on her face. �You know what I mean. You have seen the systems for weeks now and you added to it tonight. You did this to get me to take that picture down! Didn�t you?� Luke asked glaring at her. �I didn�t plan on sticking you with Lu. I mean, I thought I had everything taken care of this time but I was wrong. But I did see the signs as you put it for your need to go wondering around off. You have been good sticking around until Lucky was better but I know you have been dying to go. So, here after spending a few hours at my side. You can go,� Laura said as she placed the bag in front of Luke. �But?� Luke said crossing his arms across his chest. �But can I take down that picture for one night?� Laura said begging. Luke sighed and said, �Go for it. I might as well give in now because sooner or later you will win!� �Thank you,� Laura said quickly giving Luke a kiss before running off to tell Lucky and Elton to take down Helena�s picture. *********************************** Later that night as the party just got rolling, Victor walked up to Luke and asked, �Where is the old witches picture at?� �Lets just say Laura bribed me,� Luke said with a cocky smile on his face. �It had to be good for you to take it down,� Victor said as he Luke filled his glass again. Luke decided to talk to Victor for awhile. He figured he could get information out of Victor about the threats against Lucky�s life. He wasn�t getting anything out of Mikkos and figured if he could get Victor drunk enough the guy might talk. ************************************* Carly, Jason, Sonny and Alexis all sat at the same table talking about being parents. �How is Tasha doing?� Carly asked Alexis. �Getting big,� Alexis smiling just thinking about her little girl. �I bet she is and just wait until she starts walking and talking,� Jason said laughing just thinking about the twins. Victoria and Michael were so loveable when they were babies but now they were loveable and devils. �They still fighting?� Sonny asked Jason. �Yeah, you can say that,� Jason said laughing. �You should have seen them when we left this evening. They were fighting about who was taller,� Carly said starting to laugh a bit herself. �Oh, I bet that was cute,� Alexis said grateful that she had one little life to deal with at this moment. She knew Sonny wanted another child but right now one was enough for her. �Yeah,� Carly said smiling. �I�m thinking of taking few weeks off and dropping them off with Grandpa. Let him deal with them,� Carly said just thinking of watching her father trying to solve that problem. �What about your mother?� Sonny asked. �I would but every time Stefan gets a hold of them they start mimicking him,� Carly said with a sly smile on her face. �Oh, that is bad,� Alexis teased as she looked over her shoulder to see her brother towards them at that very moment. �What is bad?� Stefan asked as he walked up to the table. �Nothing,� Carly laughed. She couldn�t help it. She might not like Luke but then again Luke wasn�t a stick in the mud as Stefan was. Stefan didn�t comment. He just sat down and joined the group. �Where is Bobbie to night?� Alexis asked hugging her brother. �Working. Someone called in and she needed to go in,� Stefan said. �To bad,� Sonny said. �Ah, where is Helena�s painting at?� Stefan asked noticing it was gone. �Laura bribed Luke with a get out of town card if she could take it down for the night,� Sonny said with a knowing smile on his face. �So, he is taking off again?� Stefan asked. He knew Luke�s vanishing act bothered his father. Mikkos couldn�t figure out why Luke took off with Laura at him and two loving kids. �Yeah, and I�m waiting for father to find out,� Alexis said. �I was just thinking about that myself. The trouble is I have listen to him complain about it,� Stefan said shaking his head in frustration. �You could help run the club for while,� Jason suggested. �No, I think I might just work at him,� Stefan replied. �I don�t get it. Why does leave town?� Carly asked looking at Jason and Sonny for the answer. They were the ones that knew Luke the best. She figured if anyone would know that they would. Sonny laughed and said, �I asked that once and got one of Luke�s remarks but Robert said it was because Luke gets board. He loves Laura. Laura loved a normal life but Luke hates being normal. He likes adventure and when things get dull. Luke takes off.� �Being a Cassadine is dull?� Alexis asked with puzzled look on her face. Everyone laughed at this and Stefan said, �To him yes, I see that.� Lucky and Emily were dancing around the dance floor when Lucky looked over towards the door and spotted Nikolas walk in with Gia on his arm. Lucky left Emily�s side and walked over to great his brother. �Well, he finally landed,� Lucky said as he walked over to his brother. �Where have been?� Lucky asked. �Sorry, I had late class,� Nikolas said smiling his brother. �How is mom doing?� �You better go see her. She thinks you stiffed her. She is waiting to tell the world who the new face is and she couldn�t without that face,� Lucky said smiling at Gia. �We better go,� Nikolas said taking Gia�s arm as he went to go find his mother. �You mean she got it?� Emily asked coldly as she walked up beside Lucky. �Don�t like Gia?� Lucky asked with a knowing smile on his face. �No, not after what she did to Liz in school her last year,� Emily said coldly. �Em? I hate say this but Liz dissevered being made a fool off,� Lucky said. Emily knew that her and Lucky would always disagree about Liz Webber. Liz didn�t like Lucky from the get go and that hate only got worse when Lucky found out that he was a Cassadine. Liz didn�t understand why Lucky had trouble being rich and she asked Lucky that one-day. Lucky got ticked off and from that moment on. He never bothered to talk to her again. �Well, Liz was my friend and I thought Gia�s stunt at posting that picture on the web page was a bit rough.� �Got it,� Lucky said kissing his girl friend. He wasn�t going to ever tell her that Gia might taken the picture but it was him that posted it. Gia and Lucky made a pact that they would never tell anyone the truth and all Lucky had to do was get Nikolas to take her out. It wasn�t that hard because his liked Gia in the first place. It just took a bit of shoving on Lucky�s part. ************************************ Robert and Monica had arrived just before that and joined Jason, Carly and the others at their table. The group was chatting about life when Carly happened to look up to see Skye standing near the doorway. �What is she doing here?� Carly said in a cold tone of voice. Everyone looked over to see what Carly was talking about and at the moment Alan and Stuart Chandler walked into the room. �I have a better question. What is he doing here?� Jason asked with hate burning in his voice at the sight of his father. �No, Jason,� Monica said in a warning tone as she gripped Jason�s hand. �We could force him to leave. You do have a restraining order against him,� Alexis pointed out to Monica. �I know but much press around and as long as he behaves. I�m not going to make case out of it,� Monica said and she grabbed Robert�s arm just in case he felt like doing something. Carly didn�t care about Alan being at that moment. It was Skye that she hated and she was going do something about it. Carly got up and headed towards the Chandlers. Victor had been waiting for them and he quickly cut his daughter off before she got to close to Skye. �Where are you going?� Victor asked his daughter gripping her arm. �You know what I�m going to do. I�m going rip her face off,� Carly snapped as she tried to pull free of her father. She might have let Skye go at the dress shop but not this time. Carly was planning on putting Skye in her place. �Carly, they are guest of Mikkos. So, let�s not go off have cocked,� Victor said to his daughter. He knew why Carly hated Skye. He understood it and wished Mikkos had kept Adam and Skye way from this party to night. He had a feeling that sooner or later things would get bad either with Alan or Skye. Victor had his money on his daughter at this moment in time. �Uncle Mikkos invited this bitch! Did you tell how what mistake it would be?� Carly snapped at her father. �Yeah,� Victor said in pleading voice, �but please lets not go off. How about you stay over there and she stays over here. We will get a long just great!� Carly glared up at her father as she said, �If Laura hadn�t spent all this time getting all of this together.� �Got it,� Victor said as he kissed his daughter before sending her back to Jason. Carly stalked back to the table and sat back down again. Jason leaned forward and asked, �What is wrong?� �Uncle Mikkos did it again. He invited that witch here,� Carly said taking her drink and downing it. Alexis looked puzzled and asked, �That woman?� �That isn�t a woman. That is the bitch that made my life a living hell in boarding school!� Carly snapped. �Oh,� Alexis said. She had a few of those from her time in boarding school. They were the reason she was not sending her daughter to boarding school when she got of school age. �I don�t get it,� Stefan said puzzled. �You weren�t picked on,� Alexis said hugging her brother. �Well, I don�t know what you have against Skye Chandler,� Robert said looking over at the bar watching as Adam talked to Mikkos, �But I have a bad feeling about Stuart or Adam or whoever the hell that guy is!� �Why don�t believe he is Stuart?� Monica asked Robert. �Because he is with Mikkos and Mikkos did swear to get back at your father in law. I�m sorry Monica but I think your new friend Stuart isn�t a nice guy as you thought he was,� Robert said giving her a quick hug. Monica didn�t know what to think she just stood there looking over where Alan, Skye and Adam were talking trying to figure out what was going on in all of this. **************************************** �I wonder who that is with your grandfather?� Emily asked seeing Mikkos talking to Adam. �I don�t know. Could be one of his friends. He has a lot of them stopping by every now and then,� Lucky said. He really didn�t care about who was talking to his grandfather. �Why do you ask?� Lucky asked and he turned around to see Alan standing near the bar. �Oh that is why,� Lucky said suddenly realizing why Emily found his grandfather so interesting. �You want to leave?� he asked her. �No. It looks like mother has problem with this then neither do I,� Emily said and she turned her back to her father and danced with Lucky. Lucky nodded his head but he did keep an eye on the new comers. ************************************************ A bit later Alan had left the main room for a moment, so Skye walked over where Carly and the others were sitting. She smiled brightly at Carly and said, �Nice dress.� �Thanks,� Carly said in a cold voice. Her eyes were flashing with pure hate towards Skye. �Yours would make a nice tent!� Skye scowled but she didn�t give Carly any comment back. She did turn to Monica and said, �I know you an Alan have been going through a hard time at this moment. This might make matters worse but I feel that if I don�t get this out now it will never come out and I so what to get to know my family.� Skye said and she told Monica who she was and why she here. Jason sat there listening to Skye talk hating her more and more. He saw as her as lair and a manipulator. He knew then why his wife had so much trouble keeping her cool around Skye. Alan had seen Skye talking to Monica and his heart stopped. He quickly rushed over to see what was going on. �Daughter?� Alan heard Monica said in a cold hard voice. Alan stopped in his tracks and nodded his head. �Yes, I wanted to tell you. I have been planning on it but time never has been right,� Alan said looking at Skye with pure anger at this moment. She had no right telling Monica any of this. This was up to him to tell her not for Skye to do it. �You wanted to tell me? Yeah right,� Monica said her voice growing a bit louder so people around them could hear. The press that was standing near by heard her and they quickly moved to see what was going on. �When were going to tell me Alan? When were you going to tell me that you had this little bitch for a daughter!� Skye took a fence to being called a bitch. �At least I�m not a tramp like you!� Skye snapped a Monica. �Skye,� Alan said trying to pull her back. �The hell you aren�t,� Carly said standing up. �I heard about the time you got drunk at one of the parties and had a free for all with the entire boy�s soccer team!� �Carly,� Jason said pulling his wife back. He knew now wasn�t the time to make matters worse. But it was to late; Carly�s remark did make thing worse. Skye lost her temper and swung at Carly. Carly ducked leaving Monica open for the hit. Jason and Robert tried to grab for Monica but she hit the ground hard. People started to push closer to see the fight and some one�s foot kicked Monica right in the stomach. �NO!� Monica screamed in oveous pain. Alan who had been closer then anyone at that moment near Monica shoved everyone out of the way and used his own body to try and protect Monica. �The baby,� she cried as pain ripped right through her. On impulse Monica buried her head into Alan�s shoulder. Jason and Stefan tried to hold everyone back. Robert bent down near Monica looking very frightened and scared. Alan looked over at him and said, �Call for the ambulance!� Robert nodded stood up to see Luke standing near the bar trying to figure out what was going on. �Call the medics now. Monica is hurt!� Alex how had just arrived at the party after working late quickly shoved her way in through the crowed of people and said, �What can I do?� �Get your bag,� Alan ordered and he looked down at Monica. �Hold on. I promise you�ll be ok!� �What about the baby?� Monica cried. Alan didn�t answer. He didn�t know what was going to happen to the baby. Emily had finally shoved her way towards her mother stood there looking down at her parents. She looked at her father and said, �You did this. This is your fault!� Emily cried.
