| Chapter 21 Adam was just hanging up the phone when Skye walked in with her arms full of packages. Adam looked up at his daughter and said, �We got them!� �Tracy sold you her shares!� Skye said all smiles. �No, but she is willing to let me us her voting rights,� Adam said smiling. �How do you know she will not back out of it?� Skye asked with a concerned look on her face. �I paid her enough,� Adam said sounding really sure of himself. �Ok,� Skye said figuring her father knew exactly what he was doing in all of this. �What about AJ?� Skye asked putting down the packages on the table. �He was willing to sale his shares to me without any trouble,� Adam said. �Nice,� Skye said and she realized all they needed was to get their hands on Jason and make sure that Monica or Ned didn�t show up to Vote and they could control ELQ. She was sure that she could get her �father� to vote on her side. I mean, dear grandpa did sale her too highest bidder! �Yes, It is,� Adam said seeing ELQ in his hands already! �Well, I guess all there is to find away to get our hands on Jason�s stock!� Skye said smiling at her father as she dropped down in the chair. �Yes, and Mikkos assures me there is a way to do it. We just have let him take care of the details,� Adam told her. �You trust him?� Skye asked. �For now but if his plan doesn�t work then I might come up with one myself,� Adam said smiling. �You have an idea?� Skye asked leaning towards her father. �My dear! I always have an idea,� Adam said with this cold evil smile on his face. ********************************************* Monica had sent Emily along with the Spencers to lend her support to Lucky for his doctor�s appointment. Carly had to leave to go to a board meeting at the hospital. This gave Monica time playing with her grandchildren. The twins were having fun sitting on Monica�s floor playing with a stack of empty boxes. Monica was sitting there watching them when suddenly the doorbell rang. Monica got up and slowly made her way to the door. The moment the door was open Alan shoved his way in and he was clearly upset. Monica could see that from pure look of rage that was written all over his face. Alan looked at Monica pulled up her sweatshirt and said coldly looking at her stomach. �I knew it! You are pregnant!� Monica shoved his hands away and said, �I see you found out!� �When were you going to tell me?� Alan demanded standing there glaring coldly down at his wife. �I wasn�t going to tell you. This has nothing to do with you. You�re not the baby�s father!� Monica said walking away from Alan. Alan grabbed her arm and turned her around roughly. �Don�t walk away from me!� He screamed. �Get off me!� Monica snapped and she tried to pull free from Alan. Alan refused to let go. He just gripped her arm even tighter. Monica screamed in pain. �Let go!� she begged. Alan was really hurting her and she was afraid not only for herself but her baby as well. She hadn�t seen this rage in Alan in a long time. The twins sat on the floor watching their grandparents fighting. They started to cry and little Michael got up and rushed to his grandmother�s side. �Stop hurting Nana!� the boy yelled hitting Alan in the legs with his small little fists. Alan looked down at the boy for one moment but ignored him. Monica tried to shoo the child away as she tried to get free from Alan. "Alan let me go and we will talk about this,� she begged. �Talk? There is nothing to talk about!� Alan snapped glaring coldly at his wife. �You slept with Robert and you are carrying his baby!� Alan yelled at Monica and he started to shake her roughly around. Robert had showed up in the door way right then. He took one look at Alan man handling Monica and dropped the packages he was carrying to the floor. He rushed to her side pulled Monica�s arm free from Alan as he slammed his fist into the doctor�s face. Once free Monica grabbed little Michael and backed up letting Robert and Alan fight it out on the living room floor. Alan might be a bit bigger then Robert but Robert was more adept to fighting. Robert pinned Alan to the floor and grabbed the man�s collar and said threateningly, �You ever lay hand on her again. I�ll destroy you in a heartbeat! Got it! Alan looked up at Robert then looked over at Monica then said, �You want her. Take her,� Alan said shoving Robert off of him and climbing to his feet. Alan then looked at Monica and said, �But if you think I�m going to let Emily live here with you. Your crazy,� Alan said to Monica then stormed past Robert and left the penthouse. Monica stood there crying with Michael in her arms and little Victoria at her feet. Robert walked to her lifted her head a bit and asked sweetly. �You ok?� Monica couldn�t talk. She just shook her head no with tears flowing down her cheeks. Robert pulled her to him and held her as she cried. ********************************************* Luke drove Lucky to the hospital in Lucky�s car. Luke knew what the kid was hoping for and he was hoping for it as well. It would nice if Alex gave Lucky a clean bill of health. It would be nice this nightmare would be behind them finally. At the hospital, they had to wait for Alex�s board meeting to get over with and while they did. Lucky and Emily talked quietly to themselves as Luke found something to entertain him. Alex showed up just about a half and hour later and smiled at Lucky and Emily. �Had to wait long?� she asked Lucky. �No, it�s ok. Can we get his over with?� He asked her smiling. �Sure,� Alex said and together Lucky and Alex walked to her office. Emily sat there waiting and Luke came back a bit later with sipping a cup of coffee. �He went in there a bit ago,� Emily told Luke. �Let�s hope this is for the last time,� Luke said as he leaned against the wall near the girl and sipped his coffee. �It will be,� Emily said sounding very sure of herself. Luke looked at her and smiled, �I wish I was as sure of it as you are.� Emily smiled back and they waited together for Lucky�s return. It took an hour but Lucky came out then all smiles. Luke looked at Alex and asked hopefully, �Well?� �He is fine.� Alex said grinning. �Told you,� Emily said and she went to Lucky and hugged him. Lucky hugged her back then looked at his father. �Ah, keys please?� Lucky asked holding out his hand with a bright grin on his face. Luke laughed and handed the keys over to Lucky. Lucky and Emily took off right then leaving Luke standing there without a way home. Luke looked at Alex and asked, �You leaving soon?� �I was planning on it. You need a ride?� she laughed as they watched Emily and Lucky vanish in the elevator. �Yeah,� Luke said laughing. He didn�t blame Lucky. The kid had done good up to this point being stuck at home. Luke figured it was time to let the kid run and have some fun for awhile. �Let me go finish up with a few things then we can go,� Alex said and she went to her office to quickly finish up with Lucky�s file. ************************************************ Jason arrived at his mother�s place the moment Robert had called him. Monica was lying down with the twins resting when Jason arrived. �How is she?� Jason asked looking at the cold look of rage on Robert�s face when he walked into the door. �She has bruises on her arm but other then that she is fine,� Robert said with his fist resting on the ledge of the fireplace. Jason was fuming as much Robert was. �I have had it. He might be my father but her can�t do that to her.� Jason said as he paced the floor. �First AJ hits Emily and now this?� Jason stopped there. He didn�t know what to else to say because how outraged his was at his father�s actions. Then again, deep down Edward got blame for all of this. Jason always hated the way Edward ran everyone�s life. His father and brother learned them from him and Jason afraid that his kids might be pick that up. This was why he kept them from them and this was why. They had to be stopped for good! �What are you thinking about?� Robert asked seeing the wheels in Jason�s head turning. �I don�t know but I plan on talking to Mikkos about something because I can�t let them go on. It is time someone stands up to my family,� Jason said coldly. Robert might hate Mikkos but right now he figured might be right. There might not be any other way but to start fighting back against the Quartermaines! **************************** Alan went home after talking to Monica in huff. He stormed into the house and went to the bar. Lila watched him from the corner of the living room and before took a drink she asked, �Something happen with Monica?� �How do you know it is about Monica. I could have had a bad day at work,� Alan snapped. �Because when you fight with Monica the first thing you do after it is drink. So, what happened?� Lila asked her son. Alan sighed in frustration and said, �Have I been that bad?� �You want the truth or do you want me to lie?� Lila asked him. Alan turned around and looked at his mother. �I want the truth. I want to know what I did wrong this time. What did I do that drove my wife into the arms of another man?� Alan asked her getting a hold of his temper for the first time. �You stopped showing that you loved her. You shut her out and when she tried talk to you. You started to fight with her because easier then deal with your feelings,� Lila said as she moved towards a couch and patted the arm of it. �Sit down!� Alan put his drink down and walked towards the couch. He sat down and looked at his mother and asked, �Did you know she was pregnant?� �I knew because I noticed the change in her but she never told me. You didn�t notice though did you?� Lila said. Alan sighed and shook his head. �No, I did not. I found out from the gossip ring at the hospital.� Lila grabbed Alan�s hand and she asked him, �Do you love her?� �Yes,� Alan admitted sadly. �Then you better change how you treat her. Start hearing what she is saying Alan or you will never win her back. Your drug habit started this but it isn�t all of it. You have been fighting to say clean and you forgot that you have family. You forgot that they were hurt because of this. You can�t just say I�m better and things go back to normal. You have fight for them not against them. I love you but right now I don�t blame Monica or Emily walking away,� Lila said as she grabbed Alan�s hand. �Do you think I have shot?� Alan asked his mother. �I don�t know. I think you have fight ahead of you. I think it will take a lot of work to get back what you lost and maybe you never win her back but you might win your daughter back. It will be up to you to do it,� Lila said and she patted Alan�s hand one more time then she left him alone to think. ****************************** Jason left his mother penthouse and went to talk to his father in-law. Victor was working out the horses at near the stables on the island. Jason stood there watching him for a long time. When Victor noticed Jason he rod the black stallion over to him and asked, �What�s up?� �Need to talk to you. You have time?� Jason asked calmly but Victor saw the inner rage building in Jason. Victor knew that something was up. So, he dismounted the horse and stood near the rail and said, �I�m yours. What is it?� Jason leaned forward and looked at his father in-law. �I want to help bring down my family,� Jason said calmly. Victor was shocked about this and he asked, �Why?� �Let�s just say, I�m tried of how they treat each other and I think it is time they are stopped for good,� Jason said coldly. Victor nodded his head and looked at Jason, �What did you father do now?� Victor asked. Jason smiled this empty smile and said, �He showed true colors. He showed me that he is more like my brother more then I realized. I have to protect my mother and Emily from him. I have to take their power away.� Victor nodded and said, �Well, Mikkos isn�t happy the way Alan treated Lucky. It got him back on the revenge kick. He has a friend in town that has always wanted ELQ. He is letting take it. Now, they need voting shares to do what he wants to do. They have AJ�s and Tracy�s. Now if you vote with them they can take over the family. That is if you really want to do this,� Victor said to Jason. �I do. Tell them that when they are ready they have my votes,� Jason said calmly. �Ok, I will but Jason. I want you make sure this what you want. Victoria and Michael are part of you. You are part of the Quartermaine�s. So, what you do now plays a part in their lives. I want you to make sure it is the right move,� Victor said to Jason. Jason looked at Victor and said, �I don�t want my father or grandfather near my children again. I don�t want them to know anything about them. My father not only shoved my mother around but he did it in front my children. I will not let it happen again,� Jason said then the turned and walked leaving Victor alone to think about what he said. ******************************* Emily found out what her father did and she was angry. She paced her room with Lucky and BJ watching her. �I hate him!� �You don�t hate him,� Lucky said to her. �Don�t I?� Emily snapped at him. BJ looked at Emily and said, �I know how you feel. I have been here remember and I�m telling you this now. I might not like what my father did but of me still loves him that will never change.� �He is your blood father but Alan isn�t my blood father. I don�t want to be connected with him,� Emily cursed as with tears in her eyes. Lucky got up and held her. �I know,� he said and he rocked back and forth. He couldn�t tell her anything because he didn�t know she felt. Oh, he had been through a hard time his family but then again his father would never hurt his mother. Luke would hurt himself then his Angel! ************************ Victor went back to the main house and told Mikkos about what Jason had just told him. Mikkos then called Adam and relayed the message. Adam smiled as Mikkos told him about what Jason had said. �Thanks,� Adam said and he hung up the phone with Mikkos. He looked at his daughter and said, �I think we have the Quartermaines right where we want them!� �Why do you say that?� Skye asked wondering what had changed on the home front. �You half brother, Jason is willing to do just about anything to take down Edward. Also Alan and Monica�s marriage is more then on the rocks. It might be over with and if I play my cards right. I might be able to get Monica to vote our way as well or should I Stuart will!� Adam said smiling brightly. He couldn�t believe how easy it was to slowly take a part the Quartermaine strong hold. �Well, that is a new twist,� Skye said thinking it might a good idea if she called her father and checked up on him.
