| Chapter 2 Emily spotted the speedboat coming towards them and as it stopped along side the other larger boat. Lucky bent over and helped tie it up. �Have fun with your ridding lesson?� Lucky asked his sister as he helped her on board. �Great. I jumped today,� Lu said acting as if she was the one doing the jumping. �Good for you,� Lucky said laughing as his sister ran past him and headed towards the other on the top deck. Gia and Robin came up next and Lucky could tell they had been fighting. Neither one of them uttered a word to the other. Lucky looked at his brother as Nikolas appeared and asked, �What started this?� �The nurses ball. I think they are fighting on what song we are going to perform with,� Nikolas said. �Oh,� Lucky said rolling his eyes and watching the two girls walk away. �Why did we pick them up?� Zander asked as he climbed up beside Nikolas. �It was your idea to pick up Robin. Gia and I both go to the same school,� Nikolas reminded Zander. �I�m glad it�s you not me,� Zander said and he walked past the brothers. Lucky giggled and went to join the crowed. ************************************** Laura was working at her desk when Elton walked in. �Mrs. Spencer, Mr. Cassadine is here to see you,� Elton said. �Elton, there are three Mr. Cassadine minutes my son. Who�s here?� Laura asked. �The Mr. Cassadine,� Mikkos said as he walked into the office. Laura had to bite here lip. After Lucky calling in the middle of the night after getting picked up for racing his car down in the back roads of this town. Mikkos wasn�t her most favorite person to see at this moment. �Hello,� Laura said trying hard not scream. �I thought I�d stop by and tell you about Lu�s lesson,� Mikkos said knowing Laura was the only one that really was interested in Lu taking riding lessons. Luke could really careless either way. �How did it go?� Laura asked waving at the chair in front of her desk. Mikkos sat down smiling and said, �Her instructor thinks she has a great future. She takes instruction well and at young age can really handle the horse.� �I�m glad. She really enjoys it. That is one of the reason�s I allowed her to take the lessons,� Laura said leaning back in her chair trying to relax. �I�m glad. Lu�s instructor thinks if she keeps working hard at this she will be ready for a show with in a year,� Mikkos said smiling. �You�re joking right?� Laura said shocked to hear this. She didn�t think that Lu would be ready so soon. �No, I�m not. She is really doing that well! She jumped the small fences today and she really handled them and the horse nicely,� Mikkos said sounding exactly like a proud grandfather. �Don�t tell me that! I didn�t need to here that,� Laura said having trouble thinking of her little girl jumping a horse over a fence. �Don�t worry Laura, I would never do anything that would put one grandchildren in danger,� Mikkos said trying to calm Laura�s fears. Laura sat back in her chair and glared at Mikkos. �You wouldn�t? Tell me what you were thinking giving sixteen year old boy a car that can go 120 miles per hour?� Laura demanded crossing her arms across her chest. Something told Mikkos that this was coming. He knew Laura and Luke had been upset ever since Lucky got picked up for racing his car down that hill. He also knew he was getting the big part of the blame for it. �Laura, I didn�t think Lucky would pull a stunt like this,� Mikkos said. �Your right! You didn�t think! You didn�t bother to listen to our wishes in Lucky getting a car. You took into your own hands and got him one. Now, we have to live with it! I mean, we can�t just take the car and forbid him to drive it because that would make us the bad guys,� Laura said getting up and walking towards the window. �Laura, I�ll talk to Lucky about his driving. I�ll make sure it will never happen again,� Mikkos said. �No! You will not talk to Lucky about his driving! I talked to Lucky about it! Luke talked to Lucky about it! We are his parents! We decided what is best for him! Not You! Now, you are his grandfather and you have right to give him presents but from now on. I want to be informed of what you are getting him and Lu. If we don�t like it! Then they don�t get it. You don�t go behind our backs and give it to them,� Laura snapped as she turned to face Mikkos. �I was just trying to give my grandchildren the life they deserve. I don�t see what is wrong with that,� Mikkos said feeling like he was being lectured on parenting. Laura laughed and shook her head. �Coming for man that gave Stavros everything he ever wanted and turned him into a monster. You are not doing that to Lucky! He isn�t going to think the world his play toy. I will not let that happen. Now, Lucky has been raised to value hard work. He has raised to believe that hard work is the only way to get anything in this world,� Laura snapped at Mikkos. Mikkos stood up looked right at Laura and said, �You really worked hard for Deception!� Laura glared at him and said, �You want it back! Take it! I�ll wait on tables. I work at the club! I work in factor just to make sure my son realizes that the only way is to work for it!� Laura said and she sat down at her desk and started to work. Mikkos didn�t say anything to her. He just turned around and walked out of the room. He had came here happy and ready burst with pride. Now he was upset and ready break something. The moment the office door was closed Laura knocked her papers off her desk and let out a scream of frustration! �I hate that man!� Laura yelled. ************************************ About three thirty that afternoon, Lucky and BJ headed back in to get ready for work. Nikolas had Lu out on the Jet Ski. So, Zander took them in on Lucky�s speedboat. �Make sure everything is put a way right. I�m on enough people�s shit list the way it is,� Lucky said to Zander as he climbed up on the docks. �Sure. See you later,� Zander said and he sped off back to the others. �I hate working,� BJ said as she grabbed her bag to get changed. �Don�t look at is as work but helping out Ruby,� Lucky said going into dressing rooms to shower and change. BJ just glared at Lucky and went into the other shower rooms to do the same thing. She wished she could get out of it but her mother would have a fit if she cut work. So she was forced to grin and bare it! Lucky and BJ arrived at Kelly�s about four thirty. When the teens arrived they weren�t to surprised to see Mikkos sitting at the counter talking to Ruby. �Hey, old man what�s up?� Lucky said walking in and kissing Ruby in greeting. �Any orders going out?� �Several they are waiting for you just go easy on the speed,� Ruby reminded Lucky as he went into the kitchen to get the food. �BJ, there are several tables needed cleaning off,� Ruby ordered. �Yes, Aunt Ruby,� BJ said and she went into the kitchen to get a pan. �I better get going. Your going to get busy soon,� Mikkos said standing up to leave. Mikkos was about to pay for his coffee when Ruby said, �You know better then that. Your money is no good with me.� Mikkos smiled at her leaned over and kissed her and turned to leave. As he walked towards the door, Ruby decided to go after him. �Hold it!� she said just as they stepped out the door. �Yes?� Mikkos asked turning around to face her. Ruby looked behind her to check where the kids where then looked back at Mikkos. �You asked me a question moment before they walked in and I didn�t get a chance to reply. You want to know why I don�t close up and just let you take care of me. Well, I do it for them. I want Lucky, Lu, Lucas, and BJ to realize that working for something is a little more satisfying then being given something. You can give them the world but what would they do with it? Would they care that they had it? I don�t think so. So, I�m giving them self respect and maybe with all this they can make something of themselves,� Ruby said and she hugged Mikkos and turned to go back in. Mikkos called out. �You think I�m messing up?� �No, just going a bit to far. Laura was right about one thing and that is if they say no then take it. Don�t keep going behind their backs and shoving things at the kids. Let the parents be the parents and you just be the grandfather. You might enjoy things a bit more,� Ruby said smiling. Mikkos nodded and walked way. Later that evening, Ruby had gone upstairs to rest and left Lucky and BJ in charge. The place was a normal Monday night. Only a few people were in the diner besides the teens and all of them were just having coffee. Lucky was helping BJ fill the salt, pepper, napkins, and other condiments when the doorbell rang. BJ grabbed her pad and pen and turned to wait on the new comers when her heart stopped for one moment. There stood her father with his latest love. Felicia! �You want me to do this?� Lucky asked seeing whom it was. �No, I�ll do it,� BJ said and she walked to the table the couple sat down at and asked, �How may I help you?� �Just coffee. We really came to talk to you,� Tony said reaching for his daughter�s arm but BJ just pulled away from him. �Coffee I get you but not the talk,� BJ said and she went to get the pot. �BJ!� Tony pleaded. �What?� BJ snapped turning around on her heels and looking at her father. �Why are you here?� �I told you. I want to talk. Can�t we do that?� Tony asked her. BJ laughed and said, �You could have done that a long time ago but you didn�t! You just shut me out and did what you wanted. You told me I was to young to understand any of this. Maybe you were right because the only thing I understand is that after my best friend�s death you shacked up with her mother. You turned back on the only mother that I ever known! Now, I�ll get your coffee. After you drink it! Get out!� BJ said and she turned to start walking again. �Damn it BJ I�m trying!� Tony yelled. BJ stood at the counter pouring them coffee and crying. Tony walked up to BJ and tried to touch her again. He had bad timing because when he did she spilt the hot coffee all over his arm. �Ah! You did that on propose!� Tony yelled at her and he slapped her right across the face. Lucky jumped up shoved Tony away from her and said, �Get out. Now!� Tony glared at Lucky. �You are as bad you father,� Tony said. �Yeah, I am. I�m proud of it. Now, get out of here before I call the cops and have you arrested,� Lucky said glaring at Tony. �Yeah, that�s rich. A Spencer calling the cops but then again, your grandfather owns the PCPD,� Tony said coldly. �Tony that�s it. Let�s go,� Felicia said grabbing Tony�s arm. Tony looked where BJ was standing crying and realized what he came to do ended up backfiring. So, he just turned and walked away. The moment Tony was gone. Lucky went to BJ and held her. �I�m sorry,� He said rocking her in his arms. �I hate him,� BJ cried laying her head on Lucky�s shoulder. �If you hated him then you wouldn�t be crying now,� Lucky said as he rocked her back and forth. BJ didn�t say a word all she did was cry! ****************************************** It was a little past one in the morning when Lucky pulled up in front of BJ�s house. �Can�t we go driving some more?� BJ asked Lucky seeing the lights were still on in the house. �BJ, you can�t avoid them forever. Go in and talk to Bobbie about what happened. I�m sure she will listen to you,� Lucky said placing a loving hand on BJ�s shoulder. �I don�t know if I want to but how do I talk to her? We have fighting so much lately that I kind a forgot how!� BJ said leaning her head against the window. �BJ, just go in there and tell them what happened. Bobbie listen to you and so will Stefan,� Lucky said sitting in the driver seat smiling at BJ. BJ smiled back sadly. She got out of the car then and headed towards the house. As BJ opened the door and stepped inside, Bobbie and Stefan greeted her in the hallway. �Where have you been?� Bobbie demanded. BJ sighed looked up at her mother and said, �Out with Lucky. We were talking,� BJ said as she started towards the steps. �It�s almost one thirty in the morning what did you to have to talk about?� Stefan asked. BJ stopped dead in her tracks with that and turned to look at her stepfather, �He was helping me deal with my father. I had run in with him,� BJ said her voice laced with rage and anger. In the mist of the anger was pain and the pain came out in tears. As she stood there crying, Bobbie walked up to her wrapped her arms around her and held her. �It will be ok,� Bobbie said holding BJ. �No, not any more. Nothing ever be ok. Why do I hate Maxie dying on me and blowing my life up,� BJ cried in her mother�s shoulder. Bobbie looked over at Stefan and without using any words. She conveyed a message that was clear to Stefan. She needed to be alone with BJ. So, Stefan took his leave heading upstairs to wait for Bobbie to join him. Bobbie then guided BJ into the living room and they sat down on the couch together. �What happened?� �What didn�t happen? Dad came in for coffee and she was with him. He also wanted to talk but I got bully and when he tried to touch my arm and I pulled away spilling hot coffee all over him. He slapped me and Lucky defended me. He left after that without saying a word,� BJ said through her tears. �He slapped you?� Bobbie asked her blood boiling at this bit of information. �Yeah. Strange before any of this happen I wouldn�t have dreamed that my father hit me but now. I know he can do anything specially when he doesn�t get his way,� BJ said leaning her head against her mother�s shoulders. Bobbie didn�t reply. She didn�t know what to say. How do you explain something that you don�t understand yourself? Bobbie sat there holding BJ and remembering how all this got started. Bobbie had been so wrapped up in Luke and his troubles that she didn�t realize that her marriage was falling a part. Tony had been cold to her but she thought it was because he thought Luke was guilty. Little did she know that wasn�t the case! Tony was the guilty one. He had crawled into bed with her best friend. His brother�s ex-wife! When Bobbie walked in on them that faithfully day things feel a part for her total. If hadn�t been for Robert, she might have just given up. Felicia took off out of shame. After the divorce was finally, Tony did the same thing. Everyone knew he went after Felicia. Bobbie could careless where he went. Her only trouble was that Tony leaving hurt BJ and Lucas a great deal. �Mom?� BJ said lifting her head and looking at Bobbie. �Yeah?� Bobbie asked brushing the tears off BJ�s cheeks. �I�m sorry for being a pain. I knew Dad was back in town and he brought that woman with him. I heard it from Lucas. He had spotted them in town. I didn�t want to tell you because I didn�t want to hurt you,� BJ admitted. �Honey, that is old news. I�m in love with Stefan and I wouldn�t change my life for anything. I just know that seeing your father with Felicia hurts you. I�m sorry for that,� Bobbie said holding BJ. �It does but right now I really don�t care about either of them. He left three years ago without a word to Lucas or me. He thinks now that he�s back that he can be our lives again. He has another thing coming. He had his shoot. He walked away for me. Now I could careless about him,� BJ said her voice laced with anger and rage. Bobbie nodded her head and sat there holding. **************************************** Lucky pulled his car into his parking space. As he climbed out of the car, a voice called out from the shadows. �Enjoying your first night of freedom?� Luke asked stepping into the light. �No, not tonight. I was talking to BJ. Her father is back in town,� Lucky said slamming his car door hard. Luke shook his head in disgust and asked, �What did he want?� �I don�t know. He acted like an ass and hit her,� Lucky said as father and son headed towards the elevator. �He what?� Luke demanded as they stopped near the elevator. �Yeah, he hit her,� Lucky said as he walked into the elevator. �What an asshole! BJ has been trying to reconnect with him for years now and what he does when he sees her. Hits her!� Luke didn�t reply. He just stood there brewing. He used to like Tony but now. He hated his guts! ****************************************** the Port Charles hotel. Bobbie and Stefan went there to talk to Tony about last night. �Bobbie, we could send our lawyer,� Stefan said as they walked into the hotel that morning. �No way! I�m doing this myself,� Bobbie said shoving open the door and stepping on inside. Bobbie and Stefan went up to Tony�s room and knocked on the door. Felicia was the one that answered the door though. The moment she saw Bobbie she pail a bit. The last time either woman met was when Bobbie walked in on Tony and Felicia in bed together. �Where�s Tony?� Bobbie asked standing in the hall way fuming. �Here,� Tony said coming to the door. Bobbie wanted to hit him back for what happened last night. She wanted to rip him a part for what happened ever since she climbed in bed with Felicia. �Where have you been?� Bobbie demanded. Tony looked down at his feet and said, �Let�s go inside,� Tony said and the couple stepped away letting Bobbie and Stefan into the room. As the door closed, Bobbie stood there with her arms crossed her chest waiting for Tony�s explanation. When that didn�t happen Bobbie said, �Well!� Tony sighed and said, �Things didn�t go the way I wanted it to go.� �I bet it didn�t. Why did hit her?� Bobbie asked her eyes flashing with rage. �I didn�t mean to. It happened on impulse,� Tony said in his own defense. Bobbie almost hit Tony after hearing that but Stefan stopped her. He stepped up and asked Tony. �Why did you come back?� �I came back for my children. I know running off was not the best thing for me to do but I had reason,� Tony said looking more at Bobbie then Stefan. �What reason?� Bobbie demanded. �I went to look for Frisco. He vanished on a mission and the WSB wasn�t going after him. It took me this long to find out what happened to him,� Tony said turning away from Bobbie to hid his pain. Felicia put a hand on Tony�s back then looked at Bobbie. �Frisco is dead. We found his body in a grave in South Africa.� Bobbie didn�t buy the tears. She was too angry with Tony to even start feeling sorry for him. �So, you decided to come back with your lady friend and the first thing you do is hit your daughter. Nice Tony! Really nice,� Bobbie said her voice full of anger. Tony turned around and glared at her. �I messed up alright! On a lot of things! I�m trying to make some of them right. Can�t you give me a break?� Tony asked her. �No, not this time. It is too late for that. Three years too late! You want BJ and Lucas then take me to court because I�m not giving them to you and this woman,� Bobbie said and she started for the door. �I�m their father!� Tony yelled at Bobbie. �No, you were their father. Stefan is their father now,� Bobbie said and with that Stefan and her left the room. Tony looked at Felicia and asked, �Now what?� �We fight her. They can�t keep your kids,� Felicia said holding Tony. �They might be able to. Alan says the Cassadine run half this town and they got money to burn.
