| Chapter 15 Three months later�. Monica Quartermaine stood in the mirror looking at the little bulge in her stomach. �Why?� she asked herself as she ran her hand over her stomach. After all the affairs, all the times her and Alan tried to have another child nothing happened but one night was Robert Scorpio that�s it. She is pregnant with his child. Monica put her shirt down with a frustrated look on her face and went to sit in her chair and feel the nice fall breeze blow in from the ocean. When she left Port Charles about month ago, she wanted to protect Emily from all the trouble but now she was protecting herself. Alan almost killed her, Rick and AJ because he thought AJ was Rick�s son. She didn�t know how he was going to react this news. Hell, she how to react to this news? She was old to have a baby. Wasn�t she? Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Monica quickly check to make sure that she wasn�t showing. She hadn�t told anyone yet and she wanted to keep that way at for awhile longer. �Come in,� Monica said when she was sure things were ok. �Emily,� Monica smiled seeing her daughter walked into the room. She hadn�t realized what time was. Emily was going to a local private school here. She was enjoying herself mostly minus missing a great deal. �How was school?� Monica asked. �It�s great. How are you feeling? Jason said that you were still not feeling well,� Emily asked concerned about her mother. �I�m fine. I saw the doctor day and she it is from the stress. She gave me something and told me to come back next mouth,� Monica said patting her bed for Emily to sit down. �Tell me about your day?� Monica said and the two sat down to talk. ****************************************** Across the ocean in Port Charles, Lucky was taking a French test before his doctor�s appointment. The house was quiet so when Luke walked into the house slamming the door behind him and loudly calling out, �Lucky!� Lucky jumped out of his skin. Lucky�s tutor looked up and gave Luke a cold hard look tapping the ruler she had in her hand on the table. Luke smiled at her and sat down to wait for Lucky to get done. Lucky put down his pen and said something to his teacher of course Luke had no idea what he said. The teacher replied and took up the paper. Lucky then turned to his father and asked, �You ready?� �I was ready when I came in. What was that about?� Luke hated it when Lucky talked in a language that he had no idea what the kid was saying. �Oh, I said I aces it,� Lucky laughing and he started to get up. Alice, the nurse that Mikkos hired that Luke hadn�t been able to chase way yet, quickly jumped to her feet. �I help you,� she said her clipped tone voice. Lucky stopped and let the nurse help him up. Lucky and his father called Alice, Attila the Hun, behind her back. They wouldn�t dream of saying it to her face. She was just too big of a woman to get on her bad side. Luke stood there glaring at the woman trying to figure out to get rid of her. The chased away without a problem but this one just didn�t scare at all. �Thanks,� Lucky said smiling at the nurse as she handed his crutches. �You ready? Lucky asked his father. �Lets go,� Luke said and together father and son walked out of the penthouse. It wasn�t until they were alone in the elevator that Luke spoke. �I hope Alex says you are well enough not to need a nurse,� Luke muttered as the headed down to the parking garage. �Tell me about it! I don�t know who is worse the Hun or his mom! She hovers as bad as Hun does!� Lucky said feeling very frustrated. He knew he messes up and he was paying for it. He still wasn�t back a hundred percent but he was hoping he could gain a little freedom now he was moving around but it hadn�t happen yet. He was still confided to the penthouse. �Don�t worry, Cowboy. Your mother will come around. She just a little scared that you will get hurt as for Attila? I�m going to get rid of her one way or the other!� Luke said growing just thinking about the woman. ************************************** Victor walked in and found Stefan watching Mikkos talk on a cell phone and pace the floor. �What�s his problem?� Victor asked seeing how upset Mikkos looked. �Edward!� Stefan said taking the file for his uncle as raised one eyebrow. �Oh, no,� Victor said dreading the explosion. Mikkos had been good since Lucky told him to cut things out but if Edward push Mikkos at this moment then not even Lucky could stop the destruction of the Quartermaine family. Stefan nodded his and said, �For what I gather from this conversation. Edward isn�t happy that Monica is somewhere and we know about it. I keep hoping that Edward would learn to keep his mouth shut.� �Dream on,� Victor said and he left the room. He knew Mikkos would tell him sooner or later what the conversation was about. He didn�t need to listen in now besides, he had work to do. Something was going on with an old enemy of theirs and so far Victor hasn�t figured out what it was. ****************************************** A little while later Lucky and Luke walked out of Alex�s office. �So, I don�t need a nurse?� Lucky asked with a hopeful smile on her face. �You haven�t need one in awhile. It is Mikkos that insist that you have a nurse. You have to bring that with him,� Alex told Lucky with a small on her face. �Thanks a lot,� Lucky said and knew fighting with Grandfather was useless. The guy just didn�t give in. He wants to make sure Lucky absolutely fine before letting the nurse go. Lucky tried that a while ago and didn�t work. Lucky looked at Alex and begged, �At least can to the school dance. I want to hang out with some friends.� �Sure. I don�t have problem with that,� Alex said with a smile. �Can I have it in writing? Mom, will not believe me if I just say you said was ok,� Lucky said figuring if Alex wrote it down then Laura might give in and let him go. He was hoping so anyway. �Ok, I�ll be right back,� Alex said laughing and went to write a note for Laura. She felt sorry for Lucky. He was doing fine but the people around him just didn�t believe it yet. They were so afraid that he would get hurt again. Luke spotted Bobbie just down the hall. He looked at his son and said, �You wait for your note. I�m going to have talk with your aunt.� �Sure,� Lucky said he stood there watching as Luke walked away. Lucky was looking at one the new paintings that were on the wall when Alan Quartermaine walked up to him. �Where are they?� Alan demanded of Lucky. Lucky looked at Alan and said, �I�m not telling you. Emily has had it with everyone around her and she needs a break. You can talk to her when she gets home.� Lucky tried walk away but Alan grabbed him. �Look, what happened in our home is none of your business. You know where my wife took my daughter and I demand that you tell me!� Alan yelled. Lucky tried to shove Alan off but he couldn�t. Alan had a grip to tight around Lucky�s arm. �Get off me,� Lucky yelled. Luke heard Lucky�s yell and when saw Alan man handling his son, Luke lost his temper. He stormed over where Alan and Lucky were struggling and shoved him off. �Get off my son!� Luke yelled. �Go to hell,� Alan snapped glaring at Luke. �You are bad as your father. You might not carry the name but you a Cassadine. You think you run everyone but you don�t.� Luke almost hit Alan but Lucky and Bobbie gripped his wrists to keep him from swing. �Quartermaine, don�t blame me or my family for your mistakes. You wife did a very smart thing by taking off. Hell, if you the guts to do what was right you would broken your son�s neck for hitting your daughter like that. Then again maybe you�re proud of what he did!� Alan took one stop closer to Luke but lucky for him Alex showed up. �Alan!� Alex snapped seeing that she just arrived on time. �Yes,� Alan said coldly as he turned to address Alex. �Go to my office. I want to talk to you about something,� Alex said coldly. Alan looked at Luke as if he was say something but Alex cut him off. �Now!� She ordered. Alan nodded his head and then left the hallway. Alex then walked up to Lucky and then and asked, �What happened? �Nothing,� Luke snapped and he stormed away. �Alan grabbed Lucky,� Bobbie explained. �Well, that�s it. I�m not dealing with him any more. I have him a shot but he blew it. It is time to get rid of the dead weight,� Alex said handing Lucky the note then going to her office to talk to Alan. Lucky looked at his aunt and said, �I wish say I�m sorry but I�m not. The only person in that family I care about is Emily.� �Yeah, I care about Monica as well and I know when she gets back their marriage is over. I seen when she left him without a word good bye,� Bobbie said kissing her nephew then heading off to get back to work. ************************************************ Robin walked into her mother�s home to find boxes everywhere. �Mom?� Robin called out looking around at the mess. �Yeah,� Anna said walking into the living room with a smile on her face. �Glad you came. I was hoping that Zander would be with you.� �I asked but he says doesn�t care but he does. You have to give him time,� Robin said and she waved hand around the room. �You moving?� �In away,� Anna said and she guided her daughter to the couch. �This is why I wanted to come over. I quit the PCPD and I�m going back to work for the WSB.� �Why?� Robin asked but she knew that answer even before she asked it. �Your father can�t stand sight of me and the town just talks behind my back. I�m going back to do what I do best. I just wanted to tell you that if you ever need me for anything. I�ll be here,� Anna said and she hugged her daughter. Robin hugged her mother back and said, �I understand and I�ll miss you. Did you say to Aunt Alex yet?� �Yes, I did that already. I gave her a number where she can get hold of me when Zander is ready to talk. Here is the same number,� Anna said handing her daughter a card. �I wish you wouldn�t have to leave,� Robin said taking the card. �But I understand.� �I�m glad you do. I know I hurt your father and I know he will never understand. I just hope your brother has in him to give me a chance,� Anna said sighing. �You need help?� Robin offered looking at the mess Anna still had to go through. �Thank you,� Anna said and together they packed up the house.
