| Chapter 18 While they were waiting for Luke to call in, there was a knock at the door. Damion pointed at Carly and ordered, �Open it up.� Carly went to the door and opened it. �What took you so long?� Damion asked the two men as they walked into the dinner. �You should be grateful we are here,� the taller of the two men said. �Don�t worry this will be worth your time,� Damion said as the two men pulled out their guns. �Watch them would you?� Damion asked as he lowered his knife. Laura relieved at that at least the knife wasn�t right against Lucky�s throat any more. Taggert looked at the two men then over at Damion. �Since, they are here. You don�t need to keep the boy so close. How about letting him join us?� Taggert asked. Damion thought about this for a second then looked down at Lucky. �Get over there,� He ordered as he shoved the kid towards his mother. Laura grabbed Lucky and quickly pulled him to her. She kissed his cheek and whispered at him. �Thank you,� Taggert said glad to know that at least Lucky wasn�t that close Damion at the moment. �No, trouble,� Damion said and as he wondered into the kitchen to find him something to eat. **************************** Luke and Roy landed in New York. Roy was messing with the locker while Luke went to the near by payphone to call Laura. It had been awhile since he checked in and he wanted to fill her in on the details. The phone at Kelly�s rang twice when someone picked it up. The trouble was Luke heard a voice he didn�t want to here. �Hello, Spencer,� Damion said. �What are you doing there and where is my family?� Luke demanded. �Oh, they are safe for now. You find out where that key goes to you yet?� Damion asked. Luke didn�t know if Damion knew where he was or not. He hoped he didn�t. �Yeah, but I have to go to New York.� Luke said and he winced because at that very moment the loud speaker went off telling Damion exactly where he was. Luke heard Laura scream as Damion grabbed Lucky�s arm and pulled him towards him again. Damion�s voice came over the line just then and said, �Spencer, do you want me to crave this kid up now?� Damion asked Luke. �NO,� Luke said fearing Damion would do it. �Then don�t lie to me again. Understand?� Damion asked Luke. �Yes, what do you want?� Luke asked. �I want the locker contains. If you haven�t opened it up yet. You will learn why I needed the key. What I need from you is that you bring me what is inside that locker. You have two hours to get it here and no cops. If I see anyone but at the door. I�m going to kill your kid then I�m going to have fun with your wife!� Damion said smiling at Laura. �Damion, if lay a finger on them. I�ll never rest until you are dead. Got me?� Luke said his voice sounding flat and lethal. �Neither of us will worry about that if you do what I want,� Damion said and he hung up the phone. Roy showed up with the box right then. �Frank is a sick man. He that thing wired but do worries I defused it.� �Worries, Damion is at Kelly�s and we have two hours to get there with that box,� Luke said. �Great,� Roy said wondering how they were going to pull that off. ********************************* Robert didn�t trust Damion. He had left orders for Taggert to call him every hour. When the phone call didn�t come in Robert knew something was wrong. He was now hidden out of view of the people inside the dinner. He had watched two of Frank�s men walk on inside. �Damion is in there,� Robert said looking at Garcia. �What we do?� Garcia asked. �We wait from the tap I have on the phone. Damion is waiting for a call from Luke. As soon as it comes, in I will know more on what is going on in there,� Robert said. �You mean we will know,� said Agent Ford said Larken and him walked up behind Robert. �What doing here?� Robert asked coldly. �This is an FBI investigation,� Larken said coldly. Robert didn�t like Larken. In fact, he hated the guy. Robert walked up to Larken got right guy�s face and said, �This my town. I will do this my way and if get in my way. I�ll bury you.� Ford knew he would do it. He heard enough about the ex WSB agent to know to cross him. So he pulled Larken back and said, �We will stay out of your way. We just want to look what is inside the box that Damion wants.� �Fine,� Robert said wondering hell is so important inside that box that everyone wanted it. A little while later, Robert, Ford and Larken listened to the converstaion between Luke and Damion. Robert didn�t like he heard and knew there was trouble. Robert pulled out his cell phone the moment Damion hung up. He called Luke and told him to get a flight to Port Charles. He would get him to the diner without any trouble. �He can�t walk in there with that box,� Larken said. �He will if save his family�s life.
