| Chapter 15 Luke and Roy just left the realtors office and where heading to their car when Ford and Larken walked up behind them. �We want to talk,� Larken said stepping beside Luke. �I thought we got rid of you two,� Luke said coldly. He had seen these two enough to last him a lifetime. He didn�t see them any more! �What do you want Ford?� Roy asked glaring coldly at the FBI agent. �Not here, lets go somewhere and talk,� Ford said smiling. �I�m not going anywhere with you!� Luke said shoving Larken backwards. Luke started to walk away but Larken pulled his gun. �Spencer, that wasn�t a request!� Larken said coldly. Luke looked over at Roy who had the look that said it all. �We should have known they weren�t going to let go!� Luke and Roy walked to Ford�s car and climbed into the back seat. Ford and Larken took Luke and Roy to one of the hotels on the docks. They four men walked into one of the rooms. �Don�t you two think you screwed us enough?� Luke asked as they walked into the room. �Shut up Spencer!� Larken said as he dropped down into one of the chairs. �You always let that mouth of yours over ride your brain!� Luke took a threatening step towards Larken but Ford stopped him. �You can leave as soon as you hear me out!� Ford said placing a restraining hand on Luke�s chest. �What do you want?� Roy asked standing behind Luke. �Sit,� Ford said pointing to the two empty chairs. Neither Luke nor Roy moved. They stood there looking at Ford waiting him to get to the point. Ford realized they weren�t going to sit down. So, he started to talk. �We know you have a key that Virginia Benson had. We want it!� Luke looked at Roy and smiled. He then looked back at Ford and said, �What key?� �Don�t play games with us Spencer. We know those kids walked away with it. Now hand it over!� Larken ordered. Luke had had it with this guy. He grabbed Larken and shoved him against the wall. Ford went for his gun at that time but Roy pulled his and smiled at Ford. Ford back up and stood there while Luke held his partner off the ground. �Listen you to me you asshole! I don�t take orders from you any more and I don�t have to give you shit! Now we are leaving here and I don�t ever see your ugly face again. If I do, I�m going to ram my fist down your throat!� Larken paled as Luke acted like he was going to hit him. But just smiled dropped Larken on the ground and walked out of the hotel room with Roy right behind him. �We have to find out why that key is so important!� Luke said to Roy as they walked. �You got that right,� Roy said glancing back towards the room. *********************** Jason was looking around the first level of the firehouse trying to decide what needed to be done when Carly, Lucky, Robin and Zander arrived. �How was school?� Jason asked. Carly just stuck her tongue out at him while Lucky rolled his eyes. �It was ok,� Zander said lighting a cigarette. Jason walked up to him and took it out of his mouth and put it out with his boot. �You want to shorten your life go for it but don�t do it around me or them!� Jason said pointing to Lucky and Carly. Carly almost opened her mouth about that but quickly closed it. She knew Jason didn�t like her smoking and knew he would lecture her. So, she kept quiet. �Hey, so is this staying?� Lucky asked holding onto the fire pole. �Depends on who you ask,� Jason said grinning. �Let me guess? Laura says no and Luke says yes?� Zander said with a smile. �Something like that!� Jason said. �Do you want a tour?� �Sure,� Robin said and Jason took them on a tour of the firehouse laying out what Luke and Roy talked about with him. *********************************** Laura spent the day helping out at Kelly�s. She was taking out the trash when suddenly someone walked up behind her. �One sound and your dead!� Damion Smith said pressing the knife against Laura�s throat. Laura knew who it was and her blood ran cold. She was worried about herself but what if came home from school. Would take him again? This fear was hard to shake for her and she stood there not uttering a word. �I want the key?� Damion ordered. �Luke has it,� Laura said her throat becoming dry on her. �Great,� Damion cursed trying to think about what he was going to do. He could kill her but that would put Luke on his tail and he knew Luke wouldn�t rest until he was dead. So� �Tell Luke that I want the key and if don�t get it. I�m going to grab that brat of yours and you�ll never see him alive again!� Damion said and he took the knife cut off part of Laura�s hair before shoving her into the trash that was stacked near the back door. Damion was gone by the time Laura got up. She ran into the diner scared out of her mind. Ruby was taking orders as Laura ran from the kitchen and towards a phone looked disheveled. �Laura, what is wrong?� Ruby asked walking towards the younger woman. Laura was trying the dial 911 but her fingers weren�t working at this moment. �Damion, he was outside.� �What?� boomed a voice from behind Ruby. Detective Taggert had been eating a late lunch at the dinner and saw Laura run in. His cop instincts kicked in and he had gotten up to see what was wrong. �Where did he go?� Taggert asked. �He took off,� Laura said near tears. �I thought Robert had man on us!� �He does,� Taggert said coldly and he walked out to either find Damion or find how the guy got this close to the Spencer family in the first place. �Sit down,� Ruby said to Laura and she looking at woman at the counter who quickly poured Laura a cup of coffee. �Take a few deep breaths.� �He threaten my son,� Laura cried then she realized Lucky wasn�t home and school had been out for awhile. �Where is he? Where is Lucky?� Laura near panic. As if on cue, Lucky walked into the diner with his friends. Laura took look at him and ran to him crying and hugging him all at the same time. �Mom!� Lucky said trying to pull free. �Let go!� �Don�t ever do that to me again. You came right home!� Laura yelled at him. Lucky knew something had happened. His mother didn�t get this upset for any reason. �Damion show up?� Lucky asked. Ruby nodded and Lucky stood there while his mother fused over him. He knew fighting her wasn�t going to do any good. Besides, she would calm down soon and he would learn what had happened.
