Chapter 12 Luke was sitting at the Scorpio�s kitchen table looking at the key and trying to figure out what it belonged to when the phone rang. "Luke, It�s for you!� Anna said holding out the phone to him. Luke got up and walked to where Anna was standing and said, �Hello,� �Lucas Lorenzo, where are you?� Ruby�s voice bellowed over the line. Luke gulped and smiled as he said, �Ruby, we were just getting ready to go come visit you.� �That�s bull and you know it. You have ten minutes to get your butt down here or I�m going to come to you. And, Lucas, you�re not going to like it if I have to do that!� Ruby said and she hung up the phone on him. Luke groaned and looked at Robert, �Can I borrow your car?� �Sure, why?� Robert asked. �Ruby wants to see me and the family and she isn�t going to wait any longer,� Luke said just thinking of Ruby would do come to him. Laura smiled and asked, �Upset?� �Oh, she is upset,� Luke said nodding his head thinking it is the biggest understatement of the world. Lucky looked down his shorts and tank top and then said, �I can�t go.� Laura looked at him and realized why he said it. Lucky wasn�t dressed for winter and she knew they didn�t anything he could ware. �Oh, dear,� she muttered. Anna walked into the pantry pulling out three big shopping bags. Anna placed the bags on the floor and said, �I bought these yesterday. I figured you might need them. Not only did Anna by clothes for Lucky, but she got Carly and Jason things to ware as well. Jason looked at her and said, �You didn�t have too.� �I wanted to besides. It is cold out there. You�ll freeze your butts off before you go five feet without a winter coat on,� Anna said smiling at the young man. Jason smiled and said, �Thank you.� �Green,� Carly said turning up her noise as she looked at the sweeter that was sticking out of the bag. �Carly, say thank you,� Jason told her. �I hate green,� Carly said under her breath. �I don�t care,� Jason said giving her a quick shove with his foot. �Thank you,� Carly said coldly and she grabbed her bag and walked off muttering something under her breath. Jason shook his head and said, �You have to excuse her.� He took his bag as well and went to get dressed with Lucky laughing behind him. Laura shook her head and said, �That girl is strange.� �I agree,� Anna said and she started to clean up the kitchen. During all of this, Luke called Ruby back told her that they would be a little late and gave her the reason why. She understood and said to take his time. She didn�t want Lucky to get sick. Luke shook his head as he hung up. It was amazing how fast his aunt�s tone changed. �Women,� Luke muttered as he hung up the phone. *************************** The family finally arrived at Ruby�s Luke was bring up the rear. He didn�t know how his aunt was going to react. So, it was safer to put as many bodies between him and her as he could. Ruby was watching for them and she quickly rushed them when the door opened. �About time,� Ruby said smiling as she rushed the family. She hugged Laura and looked down at Lucky. �You look like your mother.� �Thanks,� Lucky said giving his aunt a quick kiss. Ruby then moved to Luke. He was still hiding from her trying very hard not to be noticed. Ruby walked up to him and smiling as she said, �You took ten years off my life and I can�t afford them.� �Sorry,� Luke said smiling back as he hugged his aunt. �It wasn�t my idea.� �I heard,� Ruby said and she looked at Roy. �About both of you.� Ruby looked over at Zander and said, �When Robert said that you were working for the FBI to keep your kid. It didn�t take me long to figure out who that boy was. I am hoping that you will allow Bobbie to see him.� �I plan on it. Does she know?� Roy asked. �She knows about Luke and Laura. I was with Leslie when Robert called and filled us in on the details. I thought it might be better if she learns the truth from you. She gets off at one. She is coming over here from the hospital,� Ruby said patting Roy on the shoulder before walking to where Lucky was to get aquatinted with Jason and Carly. A little while later, the door rang and in walked Leslie and Mike. Laura saw her mother and ran to her. �Mother,� Laura said crying. �Thank God,� Leslie said hugging Laura. �We started to fear the worst.� �Don�t worry, mother. I�m fine and so is my family,� Laura said giving her mother a hug then turning to look at Mike. �Who are you?� Leslie smiled and said, �Thanks FBI, you missed my wedding. Laura this is Mike Corbin, my husband.� �Oh,� Laura said stunned to hear that her mother got remarried. �Welcome to the family,� Laura said to make giving him a polite hug. Luke heard about Mike. He knew Robert like the guy but then again Luke never went on others opinions of others. He figured he would figure Mike out on his own. Besides, Leslie didn�t like him at first either and she so came to love him. While Laura was talking to Mike, Leslie caught sight of Lucky. He was sitting at the counter watching his mother greet his grandmother. �You must be Lucky,� Leslie said walking to the young man. �Hi,� Lucky said giving Leslie a quick hug. �I�m glad to finally meet you,� Leslie said as they parted. Everyone sat down and head a small reunion. Laura got to know her new stepfather and Lucky talked to his grandmother allowing them to get to know each other better. Ruby even closed the diner. Allowing her time alone with the people she cared about without worrying about customers. It was about two in the afternoon when Bobbie and Tony arrived with their two kids, Lucas and BJ. Bobbie�s reaction to Luke was joy but she was in total shock when she caught sight of Roy. �DiLucca,� Bobbie said backing up a bit not knowing to what to do or say. �Hi, Bobbie,� Roy said smiling. Tony was confused and looked at Bobbie asking, �What�s wrong?� Bobbie couldn�t reply. Luke moved forward took his sister�s hand and guided to a table. �Sis, if you keep on breathing on me. I�ll tell you what is going on,� Luke said smiling and then he told Bobbie Roy�s story. Tony listening and looked at Roy and said, �Your that Roy DiLucca.� Roy didn�t comment. He just stood by Zander watching as Bobbie took all information in. She finally found her voice and looked up at Zander. �I thought was doing the right thing.� Zander smiled and said, �Uncle Luke filled me in on why you gave me up. I understand besides I got to spend all this with my father.� Bobbie smiled as she stood up and walked to Zander. �I�m glad that I finally got to see my son,� Bobbie said and she hugged him.
