| Chapter 9 Jason helped Carly out of the car and together they walked to the elevator. �You glad to be home?� He asked her. �Yeah,� Carly said but she didn�t sound happy. Jason sighed as he hit the floor number button. Carly hasn�t said much about the attack. She hardly listened when the doctors told her that in a few weeks after the stitches were out she could get plastic surgery. It was like she didn�t care. Jason opened the door and they walked on inside. �Welcome home, Mommy.� Michael and Victoria said holding up signs. Carly didn�t even smile at them. She just walked on by and head to her room. �WE do something wrong?� Victoria asked her father. �No, honey. Mommy is just very tired right now. We can have our party later,� Jason said and he went to check on his wife. Jason found Carly standing in front mirror of her dresser. �I know you aren�t happy but you could said hi to them,� Jason said to her. Carly turned her eyes lost in some kind of different world. �Why?� she asked. �Because they are your kids,� Jason said not understanding what she was asking. Carly didn�t say anything. She just turned and looked back at the mirror. Carly lost it then. She took her fists and hit the mirror. �Carly,� Jason said rushing to her but Carly wasn�t going to be rained in. She grabbed the nearest thing on the dress threw it at him. �Carly,� Jason said raising his arm to protect himself. �What?� she asked coldly. �Bother you? Well, now you know how I feel,� Carly yelled. �Look at me. He turned me into a freak!� said crying. �You�re not freak,� Jason said walking to her. �Don�t lie to me. You can�t love someone like this. How could you,� she cried. Jason finally reached her. He pulled her to him and forced her to look at him. �Carly, I would love you if you were bold and had warts all over your face. I would love you if you only had one arm. Honey, I just plan love you. I hate this man that hurt you. I want to find him a rip him a part with my bare hands. But I love you. So please sweet heart let me,� He begged. Carly cried and she laid her head against his shoulder. The twins� nanny had been near the door during all of this. She closed it and took gathered the twins up. She took back to their grandparents explaining that mom and dad needed to be alone. Mean while, Jason slowly kissed Carly on the cheek then the lips he slowly loved away the touch of the other man. *********************************** BJ was working at the hospital. She hated every moment of it. Her breaking point came when one of the nurses walked up to and started to yell. �You are behind in your work. We need those beds changed now!� the nurse yelled. BJ not being the calmest person on the planet said, �Make it yourself. I�m out here.� she took off her nametag and threw on the floor. She went to change then she started for home. Emily caught her before she made it to the door. �BJ, where are you going?� �Home,� BJ said. �Why?� Emily asked. �Because I hate it here. Emily, I don�t want to be a doctor. I have what I want but I know this isn�t for me,� BJ said. �You going to walk home?� Emily asked reminding her friend that she drove. �Ah, when do you get off?� BJ asked. �An hour from now?� Emily said sadly. �I will be in the cafeteria,� BJ said and she walked away. Emily shook her at her friend then went back to work. **************************************** Sonny was not only thinking about Mike but his sister as well. Here he had a sister that he didn�t even know what she looked like or what type of person she was. He did know by this time that she was working at Kelly�s. So he decided it was time to meet her. Sonny sat at the table watching Courtney work. The longer she worked the more Sonny wondered what her mother looked like because no way did this girl get her looks from Mike. Courtney had been catching Sonny look her. She finally decided to confront him. �Ah, do you want something? I mean beside coffee?� Courtney asked coldly. Sonny smiled and asked, �You don�t know who I am do you?� Courtney looked at him and thought about Jason. No he was to old to be Jason then she realized who he was. �Michael,� she said smiling. �Yes, I didn�t mean to scare you. I was just interested in finding something out about you,� Sonny said point to the chair across from him. Courtney sat down and said, �What do you want to know about?� �Your life? Where have you been living? When did you meet AJ?� Sonny said remembering what Alexis had said about allowing Courtney to have her own life. He was stranger to her. It wasn�t right for him for telling her that she messed up by marrying AJ. Courtney smiled at this and said, �I have lived in many places. My mother hated my father. She moved us to a new town and my father would find us. I was told that my father was a deadbeat and worthless but not one time did he ever give me a reason to hate him. My mother on the other hand that is another story, she was a gold digger. She always dreamed of making it big. She would play one scam after another. She even used me in those scams every now and then. When I was old enough I left her and moved in with my father.� �Where was this?� Sonny asked. Courtney smiled and said, �Las Vegas, this is where I met AJ.� �A gambling addict in Vegas.� Sonny said coldly. �If you want to know, I asked my father to get help. He agreed. He hasn�t made a bet in a year. Is there a chance that he will? There is always a chance I know that but I also know he is a good man just like AJ,� Courtney said dishing out major attitude. Sonny saw that his sister wasn�t a push over. He realized then that she had a hard life and he didn�t need to tell her the facts about loving an addict. She wouldn�t listen to him anyways. Sonny figured. �Look, I don�t like Mike. I have my own reasons just like you have your own reason to hate your mother. How about we leave them out of this? I just want to get to know you.� �What about my husband?� Courtney asked. Sonny smiled and said, �I don�t like AJ. I know what has done to people I care about. To me he is nothing but a low life creep but you have the right to love who you want. I�ll just tell you this. If he hurts you don�t be afraid to come to me.� �AJ wouldn�t hurt anyone,� Courtney said. �Tell that to his sister,� Sonny said. �You don�t forgive do you?� Courtney asked him. �No, not about men that treat woman like dirt,� Sonny said coldly. Courtney smiled at him and said, �I know there is a story there. How about telling me your story. I told you mine?� Sonny sighed and thought about it. He couldn�t tell Courtney everything but he gave her a brief background of his childhood. By the time that he was done, Courtney knew he was leaving a few things out. She just didn�t push the subject until Sonny was ready to tell her everything on his own time. ******************************************* Jason went to get the twins. They weren�t happy. They still thought that mommy was mad at them. So, it took a little talking to get them to go home. Jason walked into with the kids and Carly was sitting on the couch holding their sighs. �I love them,� she said smiling. �You�re not mad?� Victoria asked. �Why would I be mad at you? You did nothing wrong. Mommy was just still little upset with the man that hurt her,� Carly said as she opened her arms to her kids. The twins ran to her and jumped on her lap. The four of them sat together in their own private family reunion. ************************ BJ arrived home and by the time she did word had already hit Bobbie that her daughter quit. �BJ?� Bobbie called out just as BJ was half way up the stairs. BJ sighed and turned around to go back down. She found her mother in the living room. �Yes?� BJ said coldly. �Sit down,� Bobbie said smiling. BJ sat down in the chair and looked at her mother. �I know you quit.� �I�m not going back,� BJ said calmly. �So you can save the lecture.� �I�m not going to lecture you. I just want to know what you are thinking?� Bobbie asked her daughter. BJ sighed and said, �I can�t tell you what I want. I don�t know myself but I do know you were right. I�m not made to be a doctor. I hated every moment in the hospital.� �I�m not going to say I told you so but I�m glad you found out now before you made a very big mistake,� Bobbie said smiling at her daughter. �Yeah, I know. I was to pig headed to listen. I liked the first aid class and I guess part of me figured since my real father was a doctor that I could be one as well,� BJ said sadly. �Honey, you are you. Tony is himself. Find what you want and do it,� Bobbie said and she got up and gave her daughter a kiss. �Lucky called. Why don�t you call him?� �Ok,� BJ said and she went upstairs to call her cousin. She was hoping that maybe he could give her an idea on where to go to find out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. ********************************** BJ was working on her homework a little bit later when Stefan walked into the room. �A mouth from now the family is going to have our new corporation up and running. How about a job?� Stefan asked her. �What do you mean?� BJ asked her stepfather. �What I mean is this? You don�t know what you want to do. This family owns a company that deals with every kind of job in the world. How about working there as try to find out what you want?� Stefan said smiling. BJ thought about this and asked, �No mail room?� �No mail room but you will be working,� Stefan said smiling. �Deal,� BJ said pleased with herself.
