Chapter 8

After landing, Mikkos dropped Bobbie off at the hospital and then went looking for his brother. Mikkos found Victor working out in the Gym on the island. Sweet poured down Victor�s back as he pounded on the heavy bag. Mikkos saw the look in his brother�s eye and groaned inwardly. �Morning little brother,� Mikkos said as he walked into the room.

�What worried I might do something stupid?� Victor snapped not bothering to looking up at his brother.

Mikkos ignored the tone Victor voice. He walked up and held the bag while his brother kept on pounding on it. �I just thought I would come and see how you were doing. I see that you are dealing with this very controlled,� Mikkos said his voice laced in sarcasm.

Victor stopped and shot his brother a dirty look. �If it was Alexis laying there you would have ordered me to take the guy out!� Victor snapped.

�I�m not telling you not to do anything like that. I know you will deal with this matter very control and clean. I know you would never bring any unnecessary heat down on the family,� Mikkos said calmly.

Victor groaned. He caught his brother�s unspoken request. He didn�t care what happened to the guy that hurt Carly as long as nothing came back to haunt them. �Don�t worry no one is going to find one piece of this guy by the time I�m done.�

�I�m not worried,� Mikkos said smiling. �Do you need anything from me?�

�No not for myself but Carly will need to have plastic surgery. I don�t want her to have to live with what this monster did to her,� Victor said.

�She won�t have to live with it. The moment she is ready tell me and I�ll take care of all the details,� Mikkos said.

Victor took off his gloves and said as he walked to bench where his towel and water were placed. �Did Bobbie come home with you?�

�Yes, I dropped her off at the hospital,� Mikkos said walking to the bench and sat down on it. �Any idea who you are hunting?�

�No, but creeps like this always strike again. I�ll wait and sooner or later he will mess up. Then I�m going to show him the way to the gates of hell,� Victor said coldly.

Bobbie walked into Carly�s room and found her sitting up trying to eat her breakfast. Jason was fast asleep in the chair beside her. Bobbie had to gasp a bit at the sight of Carly�s face. �That bad?� Carly asked her mother sadly.

�No, nothing that can�t be fixed,� Bobbie said as she sat down in the chair on the other side of Carly�s bed. �How you feeling?� Bobbie asked.

�How should I feel?� Carly asked coldly.

�You can feel any way you want,� Bobbie said patting Carly�s hand.

�That is what Gail said. Mother, why did he do this?� Carly asked.

�I don�t know honey. I can�t tell you but I do know you did nothing to ask for it. You have every right to dress and go anywhere you want to go,� Bobbie said gripping Carly�s hand.

�That is what Jason told me,� Carly said looking sadly at her husband. �How can he love me now?�

�Carly, look where he is. He is right beside you. Sweetheart that is love and you know it,� Bobbie told her daughter.

�He just thinks he loves me. How can he love me,� Carly said and she rolled over on her side and started to cry. Bobbie didn�t say anything. She just sat there patting Carly�s back and let her cry. Jason eyes were open and Bobbie knew he had heard everything. She could see it Jason�s eyes. She didn�t to say to either of them to help this go way. She just knew it was going to take time for both of them to get over this.

Mike knew Sonny was watching him. He caught him looking away several times this morning. Mike decided job or no job he couldn�t Sonny forever. So, at break Mike walked into the office. �I want to talk.�

�I don�t want to talk to you,� Sonny said coldly.

�Michael, you ever every right to be mad at me but you could at least hear me out. I didn�t just walk away without a word. I did come back,� Mike said coldly.

Sonny laughed coldly and scuffed. �Yeah, right.� He got up to file something in the filing cabinet.

�I did. Your mother said you were happy that you didn�t need me. She said you adjusted very well with her new marriage. She asked me to stay out of your life,� Mike said.

Sonny turned around his eyes flashing with rage. �You lie? She would never say that.�

�She did. Hell, he said you were best of friends. He told me that I wasn�t need and he made it very clear that he didn�t want me around,� Mike said.

Sonny�s stomach locked up. Deke! Deke would have done this. He would enjoy forcing his mother to say those lies. �Go back to work,� Sonny said without bluntly.

�Sure, Michael,� Mike said not understanding Sonny�s reaction to all this. Mike had no clue why Sonny was the way he was. Sonny sat there remembering all the beatings and how Deke rubbed it in that his real father didn�t want him. God, he did this because he got a kick out of it! The problem was Sonny wasn�t ready to forgive Mike. To him Mike walked out causing life to fall a part. He just couldn�t say welcome back just like that.

Josh, Emily and BJ sat in the cafeteria eating their lunch. Everyone was eating but BJ. �Aren�t you hungry?� Josh asked.

�No, I�m not after the day that I had yesterday,� BJ said shoving her tray away.

Emily laughed and said, �A girl sick on her.�

�It wasn�t just that,� BJ said sadly.

�It is all part of being a doctor,� Josh joked.

�What if I don�t want to be a doctor any more. Guys, I got my first paper back in Medical terminology. I got a D,� BJ said sadly.

�BJ is the first paper it will get easier,� Emily said.

�Em, that should have been the easy stuff. The longer I worked yesterday the more I hated it. I�m starting to think this is all a mistake, a great big one!� BJ said and she got up and walked out. Josh and Emily looked at each other not knowing what to say. They wanted to be doctors just as much Lucky wanted to be a lawyer. They couldn�t make their friend like what they wanted. She had to want her own life. So, they knew BJ was going work this problem out on her own.

Mikkos left Victor and went to find Stefan at the new building. He walked in and found the place total kayos or that is how it looked to him. �Ah, pardon me?� he asked a man that was obviously in charge.

�Get out of the way buddy,� the guy said shoving Mikkos aside.

�Buddy?� Mikkos said eyes wide growing slightly enraged. Mikkos let it go though and went to the elevator to find Stefan on his own. By the time, Mikkos found Nikolas he had been cold Old man, pal, and buddy to many times. �Who are these people?� Mikkos demanded of his grandson.

�What? What�s wrong Grandfather?� Nikolas asked wondering what ticked him off.

�These men that work here. They are rude and barbaric,� Mikkos snapped.

�Oh, yeah but they do work hard. I�m sure they didn�t mean anything. If they said anything to you that means they didn�t knew who you were,� Nikolas said trying very hard to smooth over Mikkos ruffled feathers. �How about a tour?�

�Please,� Mikkos said calming down a bit. Nikolas smiled and took his grandfather on the tour of the building.

�Well?� Nikolas asked as they stood in the middle of the bottom floor.

�Not bad. You have done very good job. I see you have found a place in the family,� Mikkos said smiling at Nikolas.

�Yes, I don�t know what I was scared of,� Nikolas said sadly.

�We all are afraid at the beginning. You fear you will mess up. Nikolas, don�t worry. We all mess up and as learn from those mistakes. I can take it,� Mikkos said patting Nikolas on the back. He looked at the men and said, �The next time I come for a visit. Make sure they know what to say to me.�

�I will,� Nikolas said smiling as his grandfather left. He walked to foreman and said, �That man I was talking to?�

�Yeah what about him?� the foreman said.

�That is my grandfather the crown prince. Please treat him like he is royalty,� Nikolas said smiling.

�Yes, Mr. Cassadine,� the foreman said wincing at the memory of calling Mikkos �Buddy�.

Stefan heard that Bobbie was at the hospital. He went to see his wife and check up on Carly. He found Bobbie at the nurses� station reading Carly�s file. �Hi,� He said walking up behind his wife and kissing her.

�Hello,� Bobbie said coldly.

�Oh, what I do?� Stefan asked.

�You did nothing. You just bad luck to being male right now,� Bobbie said coldly.

�Oh, you want to go for walk and vent on me?� Stefan asked.

�We can walk but I�m taking my rage out on you,� Bobbie said and she took Stefan�s hand and they walked. �How are the kids?�

�I think Lucas coming down with something. He stayed home today. BJ? Well, I think your plan is working. I don�t think your daughter wants to be a doctor any more,� Stefan said smiling.

�I thought working here would open her eyes,� Bobbie said smiling.

�Yes, well you know BJ. She loved the idea but she never thought about the work,� Stefan said sadly.

�Oh she can do the work. She just doesn�t have it in her to be a doctor. She can�t stand people they are sick and she doesn�t have a bed side manner,� Bobbie said smiling.

�No, I guess she doesn�t.� Stefan said and they stopped and sat down together on one of the couches. �How is Carly?�

�She can go home tomorrow but it will take her a while to get past all of this,� Bobbie said sadly.

�Well, I talked to Victor this morning. I�m running the hospital and I plan on adding more money to security fund of the hospital. I don�t want someone else getting hurt here,� Stefan said sadly.

�That is great idea. I have very good friends and I don�t want them hurt,� Bobbie said sadly.

Stefan smiled and said; �I was thinking more of protecting you and honey until this man is caught. I don�t want in the garage by yourself. Call someone if you have to go there,� Stefan told her.

�I will,� Bobbie said and she kissed Stefan on the cheek.
