Chapter 6

Jason got a call from the kids� teacher that Carly hadn�t showed up yet. He went to pick the kids up. As he drove he tried to get a hold of Carly but she wasn�t picking up the phone in her office or at home. She wasn�t even answering her cell phone.

�Daddy,� Victor and Michael cried running to their father as he pulled his car up along side the curb.

�Hey, have you two been good today?� Jason asked them.

�Yeah, where is mommy. She promised that she was going to take us for ice cream,� Victoria said.

�I don�t know where mommy is. Let�s go by the hospital and see if she had car trouble,� Jason said trying to hide his grown fear from his kids. It wasn�t like Carly not to pick the kids up. She would have told him that she couldn�t make it. You add the fact that he couldn�t reach her. Jason knew deep in his got that something had happened to her.

It only took Jason five minutes to get reach the hospital. He pulled his car in the parking garage. He spotted Carly�s car and parked along side it. �Where is mommy?� Michael asked.

�I don�t know,� Jason said looking around for a sign of trouble. That is when Jason heard it. He heard a notice coming from behind one of the cars off to his left. He walked towards the sound and when he turned the corner he got a shock of his life. Carly was lying on the cold hard concrete blood covering her entire face. The blood was even on the concrete around Carly. �Carly,� Jason yelled running to his wife and lifting her up in his arms. Carly was crying. She had been trying to get up but because of the blood and the pain. She couldn�t. �Its ok,� she heard Jason say as he rocked her.

Michael and Victoria came around the corner right then and the kids started to scream. Jason looked up at his children and said, �Go get help.�

�Yes, sir,� Michael said pulling his sister�s hand and the two kids ran off to find someone anyone to help their mommy. Lucky for them, Alan and Monica were on their way home at this moment. The kids ran into their grandparents crying. �Mommy hurt,� Victoria cried running to her grandmother tears streaming down her face.

�What? Where?� Alan asked looking around but he didn�t see anyone.

�Over there,� Michael said crying himself.

�Ok, you to stay with your grandmother. Monica get me help,� Alan ordered and he ran off to find Carly. Alan found Jason holding Carly by one of the cars. �Dear God,� Alan said as he bent down beside his daughter in law.

�Help her,� Jason begged.

�I am,� Alan said and he looked Carly over. He knew right away that she had been attacked. He could tell from how her clothes were ripped and how she looked. Her attacker must have been a monster because not only did he attack Carly but also he cut her face up. She had long gashes on either side of her cheeks and one over her forehead. Help arrived right then and Alan was in pure doctor mode. �We need to move. She has lost a lot of blood. Cross match her blood type and get an IV started ASAP.� Alan yelled as he and the others lifted Carly from Jason�s arms and on to a gurney. �Move!� Alan yelled then and they were off.

Jason pulled himself to his feet and looked down at his wife�s blood. He knew someone had to have done this. He also knew they were going to pay. No way was he going to let anyone get away with this. Jason walked on right then heading to find his wife and his kids.

Victor was working with Stefan when the call came in. �I�ll be right there,� Victor said hanging up the phone quickly.

�What�s wrong?� Stefan asked seeing the look of pure horror in his uncle�s face.

�Carly was attacked at the hospital. I have to go,� Victor said and ran off. Stefan sat there wondering what fool had done this and if the guy believed in God. He knew if he did he better start praying because Victor would heaven and hell to avenge his daughter.

Jason sat beside his mother with Michael on his lap. Victoria was on Monica�s lap. The kids had millions of questions. The biggest one was what happed to Mommy. Monica sat there trying to explain to the kids that mommy had been attacked by a bad guy that got the usual questions. Is the bad guy going to hurt them? Will mommy be ok?

Jason didn�t hear any of this. He just looked at the door and waited for news on his wife. Alan walked out moments later. Jason stood up and placed Michael beside his grandmother. Jason walked to his father and asked, �How is she?�

�Well, the good news is he didn�t get a chance to do what he wanted. Carly fought back. It was the reason she was cut up so bad. He got angry with her. He cut her to teach her a lesson. I stitched up the cuts. It had to be a sharp blade that did it because the cuts were clean. We are giving blood to replace the blood she lost and she will have to be here for a few days,� Alan said and he put his arm his son�s shoulder. �She will be ok.�

�Yeah, thank you,� Jason said taking in everything that his father told him. �Can I see her?�

�Yeah, sure,� Alan said and he took Jason to Carly.

Carly was lying on her side when he walked into the room. She looked up when Jason walked in and started to cry. �I fought him,� she cried out.

Jason walked to her pulled into his arms and held her. �I know. I know.� He said rocking her back and forth. Carly cried and cried and cried. The officer that had taken Carly�s statement gathered the evidence she had and started out the door.

It was the cop that walked into Victor. �Where is my daughter?�

�Carly Morgan?� the woman asked.

�Yes,� Victor snapped.

�In there,� The woman said and she walked way.

Victor ran into the room and said, �Carly?�

�Daddy,� Carly cried and she left Jason�s arms and grabbed for her father. �I did what you told me to do. I fought him. I really did. You have to believe me.�

�I believe you.� Victor said kiss his daughter on the head. �I know you fought well.�

�He didn�t get to do it. I hurt him that is why he did this,� Carly said and she started to cry again.

Alan knew Carly was on the verge of hysterics. He decided that it might be wise to give her something to sleep. So he motioned the nurse who injected something into Carly�s IV. It took a bit but she finally leaned against her husband and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Victor pulled Alan off to the side and asked, �How is she?�

Alan told Victor what he had told Jason. �I called Dr. Baldwin. She deals with our rape cases. Carly might not have been raped but we are treating it like she had.�

�Damn it,� Victor cursed. �Why was she in the garage alone? Why didn�t you have someone with her?� Victor yelled looking at Jason.

�Me? Carly is very strong willed besides she has every right to walk any where she damn well pleases!� Jason yelled back going to his father in-law.

Alan quickly got between them and said, �Enough both of you. Carly doesn�t need this. She needs to rest. Now, if you are going to fight take it outside but don�t do it in here!�

Victor glared at his son in-law and then Alan. He then stormed out of the room. He was thinking as he walked away. He was going to find this bastard that hurt his daughter and make him sorry that he was ever born.

BJ and Emily were just about to head home. They were going to change when they walked into Monica trying to keep the twins calm. �Mom, what is going on?� Emily asked.

�Carly was attacked. Can you two take the twins for me until I�m ready to leave?� Monica asked.

�Sure,� Emily said and her and BJ took Michael and Victoria�s hands. �Lets go get some ice cream.�

�Ok,� the twins said in small little voices.

Monica left them and went looking for Alan. She found him talking to Gail Baldwin about Carly�s case. �The best chance you will have to talk to her about this is tomorrow. I have ordered something to keep her asleep tonight.� Alan said to Gail.

�Ok,� Gail said and she walked away.

�How is Carly?� Monica asked.

�Physically she will be fine. I�m a little worried about her mental state,� Alan said sadly.

�Carly is strong. She will pull herself together,� Monica said gripping her husband�s arm.

�I hope so and not just for her sake but Jason and the kids as well. Speaking of the kids, where are they?� Alan asked.

�Emily and BJ took them down to get some ice cream,� Monica said.

�Lets go get them and take them home. I think Jason needs to worry about this wife at this moment,� Alan said sliding his arm around Monica and they walked on down the hallway.

Jason sat beside Carly watching her sleep. He knew her face would heel and the money the Cassadines had it wouldn�t be long that there a line on her face. The trouble is how was her soul. She was broke. He felt helpless and unable to think about how he was going to help her.

There was knocked on the door and Stefan walked in. �Jason?� Stefan said as he walked into the room.

�Yeah,� Jason said sadly.

�I heard about Carly. I was wondering if you think I should call her mother?� Stefan asked.

�Call her. I think maybe Carly will need her mother right now,� Jason said sadly.

Stefan nodded his head and then asked, �You need anything?�

�No, I�m fine,� Jason, said slowly running his hand over Carly�s bandaged face. Stefan nodded his head and left. He was going to go home call his father inform him at what was going on and hope that not only would Bobbie come home but his father would as well. Victor would need raining in and the only person that Stefan knew that could do it was his father.
