Chapter 18

Luke was fast asleep Sunday morning when suddenly he was rudely woken up but Victor. �Wake up!� Victor yelled as he shook Luke awake.

�Go away,� Luke groaned.

�Forget it!� Victor said and he pulled the covers off of Luke. �You are getting up!�

Luke one eye and asked, �Why?�

Victor smiled and leaned close to Luke. �I heard been an ass lately. You seem to want to run over everyone but you can�t run over me. We are going to start working on getting you off your back. Now!� Luke couldn�t believe Laura did to this to him. He knew has been a pain to live with but did she really needed to turn him over to Victor? Victor stood their waiting. �Well?�

�Well, what?� Luke asked.

�Get up?� Victor asked him.

�I can�t remember,� Luke snapped back.

�You can move the one side of your body or have you gone so long that you forgot how?� Victor asked. Luke sighed in frustration and did try the trouble was he laid unmoving so long that even his good side hardly worked. Victor shook his head grabbed left hand and put it on the bar above Luke�s head. �Ok, this is what you are going to do. We are going to do sit one handed sit ups!�

�What if I don�t want to?� Luke asked him.

� I could tie your hand to the bar until you do?� Victor said grinning. Luke glared at him because he knew he would do it. Luke sighed in frustration and started to do what Victor wanted. He was thinking about two things as he worked. One was he looking forward in getting well so he could deck the guy and the other one was he was planning on trying to figure out how to cool off his angry wife!

Out side Luke�s door; Lucky stood their listening to Victor and Luke talk. �You sure about this?� Lucky asked his mother.

�Lucky being nice hasn�t helped. You father fights us every step of the way. This is the only way to get him motivated to get going again,� Laura said and she left the living room to go up stairs to work. She didn�t like she was doing but she tried everything else. Something had to work!

Lucky realized his mother was right. It bugged him what they were doing but then it bugged him what his father tried to do. He never believed that his father actually try to take his own life. Lucky always figured his father had more courage then that. Lucky decided go find his friends and let Victor deal with his father for a while.

Tracy got a call from Victor or that is what Reggie said to her. She arrived at the Park exactly where Victor message told her to meet him. She was dressed just perfect and ready to put her plan into action. The trouble was it wasn�t Victor that showed up.

Alex walked up behind Tracy and said, �I figured you would show up!�

�Alex? I ah,� Tracy said not sure what to say.

Alex smiled as she said, �You can drop the nice act. Victor told me what has been going on. Now, I know my husband isn�t a saint but you darling are playing very dangerous game because if you think you are woman enough take my husband. You have another thing coming! You get near him again and I�m going to make sure you regret it!� Alex said this as she moved close to Tracy and got right into her face.

Tracy backed up a bit and said, �I don�t know what your husband has been telling you but we are just friends.�

Alex laughed and said, �Sweet heart, don�t play the dumb act it isn�t becoming. I just want you to know this will be the only warning you get. The next time it isn�t going to be pretty.� Alex turned and left. Tracy was fuming but she wasn�t ready to give up. She was planning on being the next Mrs. Victor Cassadine and there was nothing Alex could do about it.

Lucas and his friend Charlie were at the mall with other kids from school. They were looking around the Music store when a Charlie walked up to Lucas and said, �Here put this in your bag.�

�Why?� Lucas asked puzzled.

�Because I want it,� Charlie said coldly.

�I could buy it for you,� Lucas said.

�I could buy it. It wouldn�t take the thrill of it,� Charlie said as he stuck the CD into Lucas bag. Lucas didn�t know what to do. He always tried to fit in with Charlie and others. So, he wasn�t to sure about not doing what Charlie wanted. The other problem was he knew it wasn�t right. Sadly peer pressure won out!

Kristina went for a run in the park. She was trying to clear her mind and think clearly about all that was going on. She always wanted to know who her family was but finding out that she was related to one of the riches families in the world was a bit over whelming. Then there was how the news out. Kristina was hurt that Zander used her that way because he actually liked him. She thought he liked her.

Strangely enough, Zander was running in the park about this time. He spotted Kristina and quickly tried to catch up with her. �Hey,� Zander called out as he ran up behind Kristina.

�Go away,� Kristina snapped coldly as she took off.

Zander was puzzled by reaction and ran after her. �Hey, what did I do?� Zander asked he caught up with her.

�You know what you did. I bet that story you told me about how you found out who your real father was, was just a pack of lies!� Kristina said coldly as she took off.

Zander suddenly realized that Kristina had spoken to Mikkos. He quickly ran after her. Kristina didn�t stop this time so Zander was forced to run backwards and talk at the same time. �Look, I didn�t lie to you about anything that night. I didn�t know your story. Yes, I was asked to find out but they didn�t how. I really wanted to go out with you. I really would like to do it again. I�m sorry. I guess I should have done my job a differently,� Zander said as he ran backwards.

Zander was so busy talking to Kristina that he didn�t watch where he was going. Zander suddenly ran right into a park bench. �Oh,� Kristina yelled as he fell backwards and landed on the cold hard ground. She stood there laughing as he fought to get back on his feet. �You ok?� she asked finally.

�Yes, and thanks for warning,� Zander cursed as he got to his feet.

�Well, I thought you deserved it,� Kristina said and they sat down on the bench together.

�Yeah, I guess I did. I really didn�t mean to hurt you,� Zander said smiling brightly at her.

�Well you did but I forgive you,� Kristina said and they talked not only about what she found out but other things as well. Kristina learned that her and Zander had a lot in common. She also found out that her feelings for him were slowly growing.

Carly was working that day. She had a lot catch up on and couldn�t avoid it any more. She was walking to her office when she heard to nurse talking. �I�m scared to go home at night. I wish they would catch this guy.� One nurse said.

�I know. My husband brings to and from work because I�m so afraid,� the other nurse said.

Carly thought about this. She had been living in fear giving this guy the power. Carly decided it was time to take that power back. It was time that she and the other women start fighting back. Carly went to her office to start working out her plan to start that fight.

By the time Victor left later that afternoon, Luke was worn out. �That man is a sadistic bastard.� Luke muttered as he tried to rub his left shoulder but his right arm hurt just as bad as he left did. It had been a long time sense he moved his body that it forgot how. This was one of the main reasons he was in such pain at this moment.

Laura walked in with his lunch and noticed what he was doing. Her heart softened up a bit and she asked, �You need a rub down?�

Luke looked at her and said, �Not if you are going to make me feel worse,� Luke said.

Laura heard the hate in his voice and sighed. �I guess I went to far. Look, how about we start over?�

Luke sighed and said, �Ok.� Laura put the tray down on the table near the bed and helped Luke roll over on his back. She then started to give him a rub down. �Ah,� Luke groaned as her hands moved up and down his back.

�Victor worked you over?� Laura asked as she rubbed.

�Yes,� Luke said in a dreamy voice as her hands worked out the kinks in his back.

�Sorry, about that but I was afraid that what you said last night was just words. So, I called Victor and asked him to come over to help me with your therapy,� Laura said sadly.

�That is what that is called? I thought I went through he was practicing his torturing techniques,� Luke groaned.

Laura laughed and said, �Your body just forgot what it was like to move.�

�Yeah, I guess but how about we get rid of Victor. I promise I�ll be have,� Luke said smiling as he turned to face Laura.

�We will see,� Laura said smiling back.

�Mean, Angel.� Luke said as he laid back down.

�You�re the one that ran over our son�s hand,� Laura reminded him.

�I said I was sorry,� Luke said.

�Tell that to your son,� Laura said and she gave him a back rub.

�I will as soon as he looks at me again,� Luke said. Laura didn�t comment. She kept rubbing his back. Having Laura this close was driving Luke a bit crazy. �Angel?� He asked in a dreamy voice.

�Yeah,� Laura asked.

�Are that mad at me that you refuse to sleep in the same bed with me?� Luke asked her and he fought to roll over on his back. Laura watched him and smiled. �Well?� He asked.

�Only you would proposition me in this state,� Laura laughed but she did climb up on the bed and straddle his chest. �Better?� she asked smiling.

�Much,� Luke said and he reached up and pulled her close to him. They were like two old lovers that knew every inch of each other. Laura started to laugh as Luke tickled her. They were having so much fun that didn�t realize that they were no longer alone.

�Do you want me to leave?� Lu asked finally.

Luke turned his head and saw his daughter standing there looking at him. �Princess, no I don�t want you to leave.�

Laura cleared her throat and got off of him. �I have work to do. Why don�t you help your father eat his lunch,� Laura said and she helped Luke back into a sitting position.

�We can finish that later,� Luke said smiling as he kissed his wife on the cheek.

�You can count on it,� Laura said and she left Lu and Luke alone together.

�You in a better mood?� Lu asked as she put the tray on the table and pulled it in front of her father.

�Yeah, and sorry I have been a jerk. If I ever hurt your feelings again you have my permission to tell me to stick it,� Luke said and he gave his daughter a hug.

�I will,� Lu said smiling and she helped Luke with his sandwich. Luke didn�t really need the help but after how he treated Lu and his family lately. Luke figured he would swallow his pride and let the child help.
