| Chapter 16 Victor was in his office working when Zander walked in. Good morning, Victor said smiling at his stepson. Zander wasnt smiling. He stood in front of Victor with this soar look on his face. Whats wrong? Victor asked puzzled by the way Zander was acting. Zander tossed a stack of pictures on Victors desk and said, You tell me! What is this? Victor looked at the pictures of him and Tracy and said, None of your business. Victor started to get up but Zander quickly moved. He shoved his stepfather back in his chair and said his voice laced in hate, I will do a hell of a lot for you but no way am I going to stand by and let you hurt my mother! Victor laughed and said as she pushed Zander back. Im asking you to do anything. These pictures are nothing, Victor said as he got up and pulled a file from his filing cabinet. Nothing! Zander yelled. They dont look like nothing to me! Boy, Im a grown man. What I do with my life is my business, Victor said coldly. Zander lost his temper he hit Victor and soon the two of them started to fight. Mikkos so happened was coming to Victors office to talk about something. He heard the fighting and quickly entered the room. What is going on? Mikkos demanded as he pulled the two of them a part. He is messing around on my mother, Zander said throwing one of the pictures at Mikkos. Hell, he could have been doing it all along! Zander right left right then leaving Mikkos and Victor alone. Mikkos looked at the picture then his brother. This better to be good! Go away, Victor snapped as he walked back to his desk. No, because if this half what it looks like you are close in throwing a way the best thing that ever happened for you. Alex is a better woman that Tracy ever could be. So, why are you risking loosing her? Mikkos asked. Victor was going to lie and tell his brother just what he told Zander but then he knew Mikkos wouldnt buy it either. Victor sighed and said, She came on to me. What did you do? Mikkos asked. I walked away but I did want to do something, Victor admitted as he sat down at this desk and looked at the pictures with a cold look. It was his idea to add cameras in all the hallways. Now he was paying for it! Mikkos shook his head and said, Little brother, you are playing a game that could cost you more then you are willing to risk. I suggest you do something before it is to late. Meaning? Victor asked. Meaning, you want to throw away what you have with Alex for a woman like Tracy then you havent changed one bit and I feel sorry for you, Mikkos said and he placed the picture down on Victors desk and walked away. Victor sat there thinking about what his brother said for a long time. He had been playing a dangerous game with Tracy. It was a risk and made him feel alive but did he really want her? Did he really want to throw away his marriage to Alex for a woman like Tracy? ************* Victor walked into Alexs office later that day. She was working on some report for Carly when he arrived. Can we talk? Victor asked. Is it important? Alex asked a little to busy at this moment to stop for just about anything. Yes, it is. It is very important, Victor said. It must have been something in his tone of voice that got Alexs attention. She looked up and saw this very strange look on her husbands face. You ok? she asked a bit concerned. No, Victor said and he sat down in a chair and spilled his guts to his wife. Alex didnt say anything for a long even after Victor was done talking. Did you sleep with her? Alex asked finally. No. It wasnt about sex. It was more about feeling young again, Victor said feeling very guilty for what he did to her. He might as well have slept with Tracy because it feels like he did. What are you talking about? Alex asked coldly. I dont know. I went to dinner with Tracy just be a friends with her but we started to flirt and it was fun. I reminded me of my younger days when I wasnt so old, Victor said coldly. Alex knew she should be mad but it was hard because she knew what was coming up. In three weeks, Victor was to have another birthday! He was once the playboy of the family. Woman used to knock at his door and now he was married with a grown stepson. It was a thrill to have a woman pay attention to him again. The trouble was this woman was Tracy! Alex got up from her desk and walked to face Victor. Im not going say Im not hurt because I am. The trouble is I knew what you were before we got married. So, Im surprised this didnt happen sooner. So, Ill forgive you this time but... Alex said pulling Victor out of his chair into her arms. If Tracy thinks Im going to move out of the way without a fight she has another thing coming. If she gets to close to you again, Im going to scratch her eyes out! Alex was smiling as she said this and her hand was blew Victors waste. Victor realized what she met. He better keep his pants up around Tracy or he was in trouble! His wife wasnt the type that just walked away crying. She could and would make his life a living hell! ******************** Lucky like Victor was having a bad day. He arrived at school late again and Mr. Hall gave him detention. Lucky wasnt happy about this but their was nothing he could do about it. All getting the detention did was get Lucky to think about what Nikolas and him talked about on Saturday. Nikolas was right he was ahead of others his age. The trouble was some people around him havent realized it yet especially men like his teacher Mr. Hall! This was what Lucky was thinking about at lunch alone on one of the picnic tables outside the lunch hall. Emily walked up beside him and said, Hey, I thought you were going to meet me at your locker? Sorry, I forgot, Im having a bad day. You have to forgive me, Lucky said sadly as he kissed her on the cheek. It is ok, Emily said. We all have bad days. Yeah, well. I have been having my share of them lately, Lucky said sadly. He looked at her for a moment and then said, You remember our talk? Yes, she said her voice tight spite what Josh told her. She still wasnt too sure that Lucky wasnt still mad at her. Well, you were right. I have changed but trouble is some people see it and others dont. You, BJ and Josh see it. You see the changes on the outside. You see that Im no longer the same boy that used to blow up at the mere mention of being the Cassadine Princes. The teachers here dont see the changes. They see me just you and the others. Im a kid that doesnt know what is out there. The trouble is I do know what is out there. I have lived out there for most of my life. I have grown up on the run from the mob. I crossed several countries on my own. So, Im not just some kid! I am also not your Lucky. Im sorry but I cant be that Lucky. I cant say what I want to say when I want to say it. The press jumps on me if I do. I will always be Lukes son but Im also Mikkos grandson and that comes with a lot of hang-ups. Emily, I love you. You are my best friend and I wouldnt want anything to destroy that. So, Im going to tell you something. If my life gets too much for you and you come to the point that you have to pick between our love and your friendship. I want you to pick our friendship. I would rather have you as my friend then hate me, Lucky said sadly and he kissed her on the lips. You saying you want to break up? she asked fearing that is what he wanted. No, Lucky said smiling. What Im saying is can you accept the changes in my life. Can understand that Im growing up? Yes, because I know your clothes might have changed. You might act a bit different around strangers but I know deep down. You are and you always be my Lucky! Emily said and she hugged him. Good but remember what I said. Promise me that if ever gets to much you will pick our friendship! Lucky begged her. I will, Emily said and they sat there and ate. Talking about their life for the rest of lunch. ********************* That evening Mikkos was having a problem; he found that Kristina was in deed his daughter. He asked her to come over for dinner tonight under the false pretence that he Ruby wanted her to redo their new home. Oh, he was hoping she would do it but he really wanted to get to know her better. Mikkos, stop pacing, Ruby said as she walked out of the kitchen into the living room. I cant help it. I havent felt like this in years, Mikkos said remember who he felt when he told Luke that he was his father. Luke didnt take the news to well and he was hoping this time would be different. Ruby smiled at Mikkos and said she wrapped her arms around him. It will be ok. All you have to do is remember that this will be a shock for her. So, dont push it to hard. Give her time to take this all in! Ruby advised Mikkos. I will. Im not the same Mikkos that said Luke Im your father you have to like it, Mikkos said laughing. You were lucky he was flat on his back and under guard at the time, Ruby said laughing. She thought it before and she will think it until the day she dies. Luke and Mikkos were so much like it was frightening. They have grown a bit closer since Russia. Mikkos was more willing to show Luke that he cared and Luke was a bit willing to take it. They just had to get Luke better and Ruby hoped that life for those two would be a lot better. Yeah, well. Helena played a big part in that mess but she is gone. I can deal with Kristina differently, Mikkos said and he jumped at the knock at the door. Ruby smiled kissed Mikkos and said, Ill get it. Thanks, Mikkos said and he went to get a drink to calm down. ******************************* Mikkos stood off to the side as Ruby gave Kristina the grand tour. And this is Mikkos office, Ruby said and Kristina walked around the room to get a better idea what she was dealing with. Kristina spotted several pictures on Mikkos desk. He was a lot younger and they were all of different women. Who are they? she asked puzzled. Ruby smiled. Mikkos had put them on his desk this evening. It was his way of telling Kristina who he was. Mikkos walked up close to Kristina and said, These are mothers of my children. Mikkos picked up Rubys pictures first and said, This is Ruby before her and Luke left my life. I dont have Helenas picture up but then again she never mattered in the first place. This is Stefans mother. She was killed by Helena my second wife just like the other ladies were. Kristina heard him but her eyes were locked on the picture at the end. She knew what Crystal looked like. She had seen pictures of her some time ago. It wasnt until this moment that she realized what he was getting at. You two were lovers? Kristina asked puzzled. Yes, we were. She was killed because I had dared to have child with her. I was told that like her mother that child was dead. I didnt learn until I saw you that Helena could be lying, Mikkos said. Kristina didnt know what to say. What do you say when you learn that you could be the daughter of one of the riches men in the world! How did you learn that I was her daughter? Kristina asked finally getting her mouth and mind working again. You look like her for one and I had my brother check out the rest. I wanted to know for sure before saying something. I could have been just a crazy old man, Mikkos said trying to lighten the mood but it wasnt working. Kristina knew that Zander had been sent to ask her about her past. So you had your brother son ask me out for a date to drill me! Kristina snapped. She was upset. She was used and lied to. Hell as for as she knew Mikkos knew before that and that is why was given this job. It wasnt because she was good it was because he wanted to keep her close. No, that isnt what I wanted, Mikkos said seeing this wasnt going as he had planned. Yeah, right. Look, Crystal might have been my mother but what proof do you have that you werent the one that sold me on the black market. Maybe you were the one that killed her and dumped me for fast cash, Kristina snapped and she head for the door. Im leaving. Wait! Mikkos begged. Why should I? Kristina asked turning around to face Mikkos. Look, if you sit down Ill tell you everything. I tell about my life and what part your mother plays into it, Mikkos begged. Kristina sighed and slowly walked to the couch. Ok but this better be good, she said coldly. It is, Mikkos said and he Ruby sat down in the chairs on either side of the couch and told Kristina the entire story.
