| Chapter 13 Monday was the first day of school for Lucky and Lu. Lucky was standing at the bottom of the stairs looking at his watch. �Lu, come on we are going to be late!� �She still has to eat breakfast,� Mrs. Carlson said as she walked out of Luke�s room carrying a tray. Lucky groaned and sat down on the couch. He didn�t mind taking his sister to school but her school was on the other side of town. He knew by the time he got to his school. His first class was already going to be started! ****************************** �Stefan, stop fretting,� Bobbie said watching as her husband tried to tie his tie. �I�m not worried,� Stefan said failing for the tenth time in his attempt to tying his tie. Bobbie walked over to him laughing and took over. �I have seen you do this in the dark. I know when you are worried. Things will go great!� Bobbie told him. Stefan smiled and said; �I�m not worried about failing at this company. I�m worried about how I�m going to deal with turning over some of the power with these people. I�m used to doing most of this by myself.� Bobbie smiled and said; �You dealt with things when you father came back. You can deal with this!� �I know. I know.� Stefan said smiling as he leaned forward and kissed his wife. �Lets go down and have breakfast with this the kids.� ******************************** Seven thirty newly hired junior vice-presidents were walking towards the C Corp building. �So, have you met any of the Royal family yet?� the thin blond asked his black companion. �No. You?� the black man asked. �Not that lucky. I wonder if we will get a chance to see any of them?� the blond wondered. �Well, I know one thing we might as well except the fact we won�t get promoted to President or Vice President those jobs belong to the family!� the black man said. �Maybe we can get lucky and marry into the family?� the blond said laughing as the two men walked into the building. �Don�t bet on it,� Victor muttered from his viewpoint from the sixteenth floor. He had monitors and voice recorders all over the place. Mikkos and Stefan might be turning this family business into a company but that didn�t mean he had to treat it any different. It was still a monarchy to him and he was still in charge of keeping everyone safe. �Problems?� Zander asked as he walked into the room. �No, just the normal talk,� Victor said as he moved away from the monitors. �Ok. Stefan show up yet?� Zander asked. �No and Nikolas isn�t hear either,� Victor said. �They will be here shortly,� Zander said and he took his place at the main monitor giving Victor a chance go to walking around checking things out. �Don�t scare them to bad!� Zander called as Victor walked out. Zander started to laugh as Victor grumbling hit his ears. *************************************** �Mikkos, wake up!� Ruby said trying to shake her husband wake. �Go way,� Mikkos groaned. �God, if Luke was here,� Ruby said and one of Mikkos eyes opened wide. �I heard that!� He snapped and he sat up in bed and stretched. �I�m not that bad!� �Oh, yes you are. You, Luke and Lucky are not the nice people in the world when you are woken up. You told me to get up because you wanted to be at the office by nine,� Ruby told him. �I remember. Did Victor call about the information about Kristina?� Mikkos asked. �No, not yet,� Ruby said kissing Mikkos before leaving him to get dressed. *********************************** Lucky arrived at school fifteen minutes late. It was almost a half an hour by the time he got to his locker dropped off his coat and arrived at his first class. Lucky walked into the classroom with a smiling on his face. BJ looked up at him trying not to laugh. Lucky looked at that moment just like his father. �Sorry,� Lucky said trying to sound cool but how cool can you be walking in a half an hour later. �Mr. Spencer, I assume?� Mr. Hall said smiling at Lucky. Lucky groaned. He had no idea that Mr. Hall was the same the same Mr. Hall that he almost decked with a chair in seventh grade. �Why me?� Lucky thought. �Yes,� was all Lucky could say. �You might be a crown prince but this is states. So, we started school at eight not eight thirty. Don�t make a habit of it!� �Yes, sir,� Lucky said and found a seat behead Josh and ducked. �I�m a dead man!� Lucky thought as he sat there as class went on. ***************************** Gia was working on the new ad layout when Elton walked into the room. �Mr. Charles is here,� Elton, said sounding a bit miffed �Elton, who is Mr. Charles and what is wrong with you?� Gia asked puzzled. �Mr. Charles is the in thing on wedding planners,� Elton said. �You called him.� �I called him?� Gia asked puzzled. �Yes, you called him,� Elton snapped. �Ah, Elton, I didn�t call him. I don�t even know him,� Gia said. �No, but Mr. Cassadine called me,� Mr. Charles said walking in with his arms full books on weddings. Gia sighed and Elton stormed out. Mr. Charles went on and on and on about what a proper Cassadine wedding should be. Gia broke in finally and said, �Do you mind I have to make a call!� Gia said smiling. �Oh, by all means,� Mr. Charles said waving a hand at Gia. Gia rolled her eyes and picked up the phone. �Elton get Nikolas on the phone!� she snapped. �Yes, Ms. Campbell!� Elton said coldly. �I�m going to kill him!� Gia groaned as she sat there waiting for Nikolas to pick up. Nikolas was at his desk getting ready for the ten o�clock meeting with the staff when his secretary walked into his office. �Ms. Campbell is on the phone for you,� she said. �Thanks,� Nikolas said smiling and he picked up the phone and greeted Gia warmly. �Hey, sweetheart!� �Don�t sweetheart me,� Gia snapped. �What�s wrong?� Nikolas asked wondering what she was upset about. �You know what you did!� Gia snapped. Mr. Charles looked up from the couch and looked at Gia. Gia smiled at the man and said, �I�ll be back.� Gia put Nikolas on hold and walked out of her office to Elton�s desk. �Gia! Gia! Gia!� Nikolas said thinking he was disconnected. Gia went to Elton�s desk pulled the phone from Elton�s hand and yelled. �Nikolas, why in Gods name didn�t you tell me you were hiring a wedding planner!� �Ah, what?� Nikolas asked. �Wedding Planner! This guy said Mr. Cassadine hired him!� Gia snapped. �Ah, Gia. I�m not the only Mr. Cassadine around,� Nikolas said figuring his either his grandfather or father called the man. He sure didn�t. He knew better then to do something like that without asking her. �Well find out who did,� Gia yelled and she slammed down the phone. She sighed heavily and looked at Elton. �How am I going to get rid of this guy?� she asked him. Elton smiled and said, �Allow me!� Elton got up and walked into the office. He came out moments later shoving Mr. Charles to the elevator. �I�m sorry, we don�t need you,� Elton said as he shoved. Mr. Charles tried to talk but Elton didn�t once give the man a chance. Gia stood near Elton�s desk laughing. Elton walked back and said, �I would appreciate it if you come to me to plan your wedding.� �I�ll do that,� Gia said giving Elton a kiss on the cheek before going back to work. *************** Lucky and the teens were leaving school later that day. �Man, Mr. Hall hasn�t forgotten about the chair bit!� �Yeah, I noticed and thanks guys for warning me!� Lucky snapped. �Sorry, it kind of slipped our minds,� BJ said laughing. �How could that slip your mind? I almost got expelled because of that stunt!� Lucky said shaking his head in frustration. �Lucky, a lot has been going on,� Emily said patting his back. �I have to go pick up Lu,� Lucky said and he walked to his car. Emily and BJ looked at Josh and shoved him forward. �Can you drop me off at the diner?� Josh asked. �Sure,� Lucky said and the two boys walked to Lucky�s car. Chapter 14 Back to Affairs of the Heart |
