Chapter Thirty The beginning of a new life

Lucky sat and watched the cars drive by the front door of the hospital. He had
been in there since their escape from the island. It was two weeks before
Christmas and the doctors weren't sure when he could go home. He only had one
nightmare in the last month and it looked like he was free from the Cassadines
for good. He still needed a lot of therapy to get over years of being beaten,
but he'd make it. Lucky felt really together for the first time in his life. He
even decided to forgive Stavros and part of him pitied the man. He might have
been different if he was treated differently.

Lucky looked up when Lake, Nikolas, Lizzie and her sister Sara, and Em entered
the room. We are breaking you out here, Lake said. And no one is going to
stop us.

I wouldn't say that, Lucky said looking behind his friends. Dad and Mac might
stop you.

I'm not scared of either Uncle Mac or your father, Lake said.

Are you sure about that? Mac asked him

The teenagers turned around to find the two men leaning in the doorway. Lucky
could not help but laugh at Lake's expression. He looked like a kid who just got
caught with his hands in the cookie jar. Dad, can I get out of here for at
least a couple of hours. I'm going stir crazy, Lucky asked him.

Why do you think me and Mac locked the head nurse in the closet. Get dressed
before she breaks down the door. Luke told him. Then, lets go see what this
town has got to offer.

Lucky quickly got dressed and the group headed to find adventure in D.C. Luke
would have been a little worried about everything if he discovered the figure
following them. Victor walked behind the group smiling. Have fun, Spencer
because we are not done yet. he said to himself.
