Chapter Twenty-Eight The Cassadines Strike

The fake Andrew arrived back at the compound and headed straight to his
quarters. The man was waiting for him to arrive. Where have you been? he
asked.

I was doing Michael's dirty work and keeping out of Luke's way, the fake
Andrew said.

I'm moving on the boy tonight. I need a distraction to keep the others out of
the way, he said.

I got it covered. They will be no problem, the fake Andrew said.

They better not. A week from now Luke and Michael will be gone and my revenge
will be complete. the man said.

Later that day, fake Andrew entered the supply room and spiked some of Luke's
supplies. Mac had walked in right after he completed the job. Andrew, when did
you get back? Mac asked him a little taken back at his presence.

Today. How are things going with our guests? the fake Andrew asked.

Fine. Michael just took off for his meetings in the West Indies and will not be
back for a week. Are you joining him? Mac asked him.

No, I'm sticking around and keeping and eye on things here. You need help with
the supplies? the fake asked.

Mac nodded and the fake helped gather the supplies for Luke and handed over the
spiked items. He wasn't worried that Lucky would eat any of the spiked food. He
knew for a fact that Lucky would never eat any of the food that was spiked.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Lucky, do you want some ice cream? asked Lake.

Sure, what do we have? Lucky asked him.

Mac could only find strawberry is that all right? Lake asked.

Lucky cringed. Strawberries were the only things he wouldn't eat. No. Lake, I
changed my mind. I'll eat something else. Lucky told him opening the cabinets.

Lucky, don't you like strawberry? Lake asked him.

Strawberry's don't like him, Luke replied holding his drink. Lake, that is
what made him sick the time we were grabbed by the Cassadines. We didn't know
that Lucky couldn't have them then. He was picking the berries with his mother
and collapsed. We would have been long gone otherwise, Luke told him.

Dad, do you realize this whole mess started because of a few stupid berries?
Lucky said.

I know, Cowboy. I did a lot of thinking about that fact and I will never
understand it. Luke told him, going to sit down.

Lake ate his ice cream, while Robert and Luke sipped on their drinks. Suddenly,
the world started to spin and by the time any of them realized they were
drugged, it was too late. Luke tried to get to his feet but collapsed. Lucky
watched his family black out and was going to get help when the door opened.
Andrew and another man were standing in the doorway. Andrew said in different
voice. Hi, Lucas.

Lucky backed up. Only one person sounded like that. He looked at the fake Andrew
and said. Stavros, you're alive.

Good guess. Now, get over here. We want to take to you, he said coldly.

Lucky tried to run but Stavros and his friend grabbed Lucky and pulled him out
of the room. They had a hand over Luckys mouth so he couldn't scream. He was
trying to get away but it was hopeless. The two men took Lucky to a hidden part
of the compound and forced him into a room. Lucky took one look at the table and
freaked. He remembered what was about to happen and the pain that went with it.
He almost got free when another voice rang out. Lucas. Stop. You are not going
anywhere.

Lucky looked over at the man who spoke and froze. The figure from his
nightmares. He was real and now he had him. Lucky fought them with everything he
had but he was still strapped to the table. Lucky suddenly heard a voice cry
out. Leave him alone, you monsters. yelled Alexis from her cage.

Alexis, shut up. You have no rights here. The only reason you're alive is
because you might be needed, but don't push it. I will have you killed if you
make anther sound. the man ordered.

Alexis didn't watch as a needle was stuck right into Lucky's skull. She couldn't
block out his blood-curdling scream. He kept on screaming until the electronic
pulses started to kick in. He slowly stopped scream and became very still. She
had to look to see if they had killed him. Lucky was lying on the table, looking
at nothing. He didn't even blink his eyes once. Stavros leaned against the wall
and dropped a paper in her cage. She looked at him in surprise. This wasn't the
Stavros she knew. Something was off, she thought.

Lucky was questioned for hours but the probe proved nothing. He was ordered to
stay in this state until new orders from the man came. An electronic ear piece
was placed behind his ear. When he was needed a sound would bring Lucky back to
life and nothing else. Lucky was placed in his room just minutes before Luke and
Robert woke up. Luke ran to find Lucky and was shocked to see his son. Lucky was
covered in sweat and a small needle mark was right in center of his forehead.
Luke tried everything but Lucky would not wake up. He just laid in a ball,
waiting for the next step.
