Chapter Twenty Six Lucky's Grandfather

Lucky walked into Michael's office and sat down in front of the desk.

Michael looked at him and said. I didn't tell you to sit down.

Lucky stood up and looked at Michael in pure hate. Why are you doing this?
Lucky asked him.

Doing what? Spending time with you? I am your grandfather and I would like to
get to know you. I heard from Mac you have became a regular fish. Michael said.

I wasn't asking about that. Why are you making my father take over for you?
Lucky asked him.

Michael looked at him and pointed to the chair. Lucky sat and waited for his
answer. Lucky, I didn't leave your father. Ruby hid him so well I didn't find
out where he was until Helena called me about a year ago. I dug up a lot of dirt
on my family since then. You might think I'm a monster. I have killed and gotten
paid for it, but family means a lot to me. Michael said.

Then why did you kill your parents? Lucky asked him.

Is that what Helena told you? Michael asked.

Yes. Lucky said.

I didn't kill my parents. Methos did and blamed on me. The others just followed
along. What Methos didn't realize is that if he would have asked me, I would
have given him everything. I didn't want to be given the power of the
Cassadines. I wanted to have my own power. I tried to bring your father with me
but failed. I even went back for him but Ruby was gone. Aleana asked me to take
her with me. She wanted as far way from my family as possible. Andrew and her
raised Steven as their own and loved him. He would have never got any love from
the Cassadines. You should know that. Michael said.

Why do they hurt others? Lucky asked him.

That's the only thing any of them know. I'm a monster but my parents were
worse. I just realized how much damage they did when I met you. I'm going to do
something for you. I'm going to try and break the family cycle. I'm dying, Lucky
and I will go to hell. I know that because there are too many bodies in my
closet. I just hope you won't follow my path, Michael said.

You're making my dad follow your path. Lucky said.

Am I? Lucky, time will tell on that. Just watch. I'm not as old and out of it
as everyone thinks. Michael said, with a sly smile.

Lucky looked at his grandfather in confusion. He didn't know what to make of
him. Michael walked to the cabinet and pulled out a book. He laid it in front of
Lucky. Read this and when you're done, I have another one. It is a book on Yoga
and I have different books on other kinds of mediation. You will learn them all.
I also want you to write down every thing that you remember about your life with
my family and together we are going learn how deal with it.

Lucky looked at him in shock. Could this be the same man that puts his father
through hell every day? Lucky picked the book up and started to read. What else
was there to do? Lucky thought to himself.
