| Chapter 20: Luke went from the hospital to a small hotel just a few blocks from the docks. He went to a room that was hidden from view of the docks. He didn't' bother to knock but he walked right in. Bobbie and Stefan were at a table working on the computer. "You have her yet?" Luke asked as he walked in on the two started couple. "Yeah, I just down load the information. You are not allowed out yet," Stefan said to Luke shocked to see him. "We have a problem. Lucky is going after Helena," Luke told them. "What?" Bobbie said as she walked toward her brother. "Yeah, and I don't time to tell how I know this but I do. We have to get to the kid before he really gets himself hurt," Luke told them. "Let's go," Stefan said and he placed the disk in his jacket pocket and they headed for the door. Luke saw a gun lying on a table and he grabbed it. He had a feeling that he was going to need it before the night was over with. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~' Helena was in Stefan's old office alone. She was looking over papers for her final stage of her plan when the secret door behind her opened. "Hello, Luke," she said. "I'm not Luke," Lucky said and he came into view. In his hands was Luke's automatic weapon and it had a silencer on the muzzle. "Lucky, What a surprise! You were the last person that I expected to show up her," Helena said but her voice was calm and she sounded her normal cool self. "You should have. I told you I was going to kill you, but I guess you don't believe me," Lucky told her. "Lucky, you are kill me. You don't have it in you," Helena told him. "Yes, I do," Lucky said and to show her he fired the gun and the bullet missed Helena by inches, but the only sound that was made was a quite shoop as the bullet left the gun. Helena looked at Lucky with a shocked look on his face. "Lucky, put down that gun before you hurt someone," Helena told him. "Oh, scared Helena?" Lucky asked her. "Good because I'm going to kill you and you want to know why, because you killed my mother, sister and grandmother. And I'm going to make you pay for it," Lucky told her and he moved a few steps closer. "Now, sit down," he ordered. "Sure," Helena said and she started to place her heads on her lap but Lucky called out. "Oh, no. Put them on the top of the desk and don't move. Ok," Lucky ordered her. "What every you say my dear. You do look like so much like father at this moment. You must be proud of him," Helena said. "Don't play games with me. I'm not going for it. You are going to die and the prince up stairs is going to take the fall," Lucky told her. "Why would he kill him?" Helena asked him. "Because you killed father and I'm make sure that everyone knows this," Lucky told her. "You see, Helena. I'm going to do what my father didn't finish. I'm going to wipe the planet of Cassadines," Lucky said, "Starting with you." And with that said, Lucky slowly raised the gun and pointed it right at her. Helena sat there and it was then that she realized that the boy was going to do it. Helena was just about to call for help, when four figures stormed into the office. "Cowboy, stop," Luke called out. "NO," Lucky said with as much force as he could. "She is going to die. She killed my mother." "I know she did and she going to pay but you can't kill her. She isn't worth it. Trust me kiddo. Once you kill you can never wipe that blood off your hands. I know. I have done it to many times," Luke told him as he tried to get near Lucky. "Stay put," Lucky said sensing his father's movements. "I know what you are trying to say but mom is worth it and so is LU," Lucky told him. "Lucky, they wouldn't want you to kill her. You're throwing your life away," Bobbie called out. "I have no life without them. She ended it all. Me and Dad will never be the same and it is all her fault," Lucky said and he kept the gun pointed right at Helena's heart. "No, Cowboy. We have a chance. So, it will not be the same but it could be better. I know it. All you have to do is put down the gun," Luke begged him. "Do as he tells you Lucky. We have my mother and she is going to pay for Laura's death and your sisters. I swear to you. She can't buy her way out of this. I will not allow it," Stefan said. "You will not allow it," Helena said glaring coldly at her son. "Shut up!" All them yelled to her and Helena jumped at this. "You see. She still thinks she can get way with it. No jury can get rid of her. Only kill her now will do it," Lucky said. "No, Cowboy," Luke said and to Helena's shock. Luke stepped right in the path of the gun. "You have to shut me to get to her. I'm not letting you end your life like this." "Dad, please," Lucky begged. "No. I promised your mother that you would not go down my path. If it cause my life to stop you it is worth it," Luke told him. Helena used Luke as shield to her movements and she started for the secret passage, but just as the door opened Mac stood on the other side. "Hello," Mac said coldly. "Taggert, would arrest her," Mac said over his shoulder and the Lt. came out of the shadows and grabbed Helena by the arm and soon had her cuffed. "Lucky, put down the gun," Mac ordered. "Why? Why don't let me kill her," Lucky asked him. "Because, she isn't worth it," Mac said and without fear in his eyes. He walked up the kid and took the gun from his hands. Luke moved toward Lucky and pulled him in his arms. "I got a call a nurse and she said that I should come here that something really was bad was about to happen. I was going over some files but so was our two friends over there." Mac said point to Bobbie and Stefan. "You knew?" Bobbie asked him. "Yeah, but I didn't find out until few days ago. Felicia spotted Stefan and she told me. I did some checking and found your hiding place. I know that what ever you were up to that it something to do with Helena. So, I started looking in Laura's death. I found all that I need to put her way for life," Mac told them. "You will not keep her," Lucky said flatly. "Yes, I will. Lucky, she is going to pay for this. I swear it," Mac told the kid. "Yes, she going to pay," Kevin said as he walked over to Lucky and took him by the arm. "I think we need to talk." "I'll go with you," Luke said and as he walked passed Stefan he said. "I told you to bite those finger nails of yours." Bobbie laughed as this and went with them. All Stefan could do was look at his hands and wonder what they had to do with him getting spotted by Felicia. Epilogue Things slowly went back to normal for everyone involved. Stefan and Nikolas decided to leave town and left Alexis behind to deal with all the family holdings there. Lucky and him never because best of friends but what did come out of it was a sort of a peace between Luke and Stefan. They both decided at least for what they felt for Laura that they would end the fighting. Stefan and Luke would say out of each other's way and the boys wouldn't pick up the fight where they left off. Stefan gave Bobbie her divorce and she started to date Jake. She didn't know where it was going but at least Jake and Lucas got a long great. Helena found out that she couldn't buy herself out of this mess. Mainly, because Stefan matched her money to make sure she paid for her crime. Things were just wrapping up but it looked like that the ice queen was going to go way for along time. As for Lucky and Luke, Kevin worked over time but finally after months of yelling, cursing, and even crying they both worked out a lot of the pain. They did decide to leave town for awhile and find a new start. Luke took Lucky out of school and set up a kind home schooling for him. They weren't going to settle down just yet. They were going to travel and try to rebuild the friendship they used to have. And today was the day that they were do to leave. . . . Luke walked down the steps of Kelly's with his bag over his shoulder. Ruby was all ready up and cooking as he walked into the dinner. "Ruby, I thought you didn't up for another hour?" Luke asked her as he yelled into the kitchen. "I don't but you need to be fed before you head out," Ruby said as she walked out carrying two plates full of food. "Ruby," Luke said shaking his head at his aunt. "Don't Ruby me." She scolded him, "Now eat!" Luke didn't argue with her because he knew it was useless. Luke decided that best thing he could do was sit down and eat. "Where is the kid?" "Upstairs finishing his packing," Luke told her. "He better hurry or this is going to get cold," Ruby said as she looked up the stairs for any sign of Lucky. "He'll be here. I think he is on the phone with Bobbie. I think my kid loves my sister more then I do," Luke told her. "No not more but differently. I think Bobbie helped Lucky get over Laura's death more then anyone ever expected," Ruby told him as she purred a cup of coffee for him. "Ruby, I know you are worried about us but don't be," Luke said reading his aunts unspoken words. "I will worry because I love you," she told him as she leaned over and gave him a hug. "I know but know this we are going to be fine. I'm back to normal self and I know the kid is on stable ground as well. We both found the monster within us and we know what they can do. We just have to watch we do and deal with them," Luke told her. "You better. I don' want to do any of this ever again," Ruby said scolding him. "You won't. I promise," Luke said and he started to eat his breakfast. Hour later, Ruby was busy so the only good bye she got was a quick peck on the cheek from both of them. Luke and Lucky both took off that morning not knowing where they were going but they knew that what ever laid head of them. Nothing was going to be worse then what was behind them.
