Chapter Three - �Deception at work� After supper Stefan went to Alexis rooms to talk to her. He knocked on the door. �Alexis, I have to talk to you.� Stefan called looking around him trying to see if anyone was watching. Alexis open the door greeting him with a smile and said, �Of course cousin. You are always welcome. What can I do for you?� she asked motioning him to one of the chairs in the living area. Stefan signals Alexis to play along and opened his brief case. �Alexis, I have some papers I need coping for my files.� Handing the notebook over to her. I need them right away, because Stavros and I have to go over family business tomorrow and I was hoping you could use your printer. I forgot to ask this afternoon when we went over them. I�m sorry for trouble but I was hopping you could do it tonight.� Alexis look through the notebook looking a Stefan in shock. She could hardly believe what she reading. �Of course Cousin. I have no problem with this.� She said and mouthing the words are you crazy. �I�ll do it right now if you would like to wait.� Alexis went to the printer. Her mind was racing with all thoughts and the most dominant one was. �This could get them all killed.� If Stavros and Helena found out about this, but what frighten her was what could happen to Lucky. She quickly copied the pages. It took a half an hour and while she copied, Stefan and her talked about the trip they just got back from. Keeping in mind of the bugs that spread across the room. When she was done, Alexis handed them both the notebook and the copies back to him. Still wondering what he was up to. �I�m leaving for a few days to check on a few things at the other compound and I�m taking Nikolas. I was hoping you would take Lucas up to the cliffs while we�re gone. Get Ms. Landsberry pack you some supplies. Stavros and Mother have agreed even if is just to get him out their sight for a few days.� He said handing her a letter. �Of Course cousin. I love camping up on the over look and this will give me the time to spend with Lucas.� she said after reading the letter. Her eyes growing wider every second. Stefan handed the notebook back to her. �It�s getting late Cousin. I have this meeting to attend to and then we�re heading out. I might not get a chance to say good-by to Lucas so I hope you�ll help him to understand. Have pleasant dreams.� he said after placing the copies in his brief case and heading to his rooms. Alexis his heart was pounding with the thoughts of what would happen if they all got caught. This time they weren�t just playing with their lives but the lives of five other.
