Chapter Fifteen Fathers and sons Outing Authors Note: I had to lighten things up. More for me then any one else. I know some of you cant wait for Lucky to blow, but my stomach needs a break. Besides I think Lucky needs to laugh just a little dont you) Robert and Luke had decided that it might be a good idea. If they took the boys out for a day. Maybe, Lucky would relax without Nik around. He follows him around like a puppy dog. Nothing against the kid but Lucky still acts like he is still on the island. It took a little pushing to get Lake to go. Dad. Do I have to? Hes weird, said Lake. Lake! Robert snapped. Give him a chance. Luckys never been off that island. The only kid he knows is Nik and And he acts like hes better then everyone. finished Lake. How did he put up with that? He had to. So you can understand why. Lucky is the way he is. Questioned Robert. I want to put yourself in his shoes. Being separated from me and your mom for ten years and being told we did not want you around. I got it dad, said Lake, I just wish he say something. That is what this trip is about. Maybe without the Cassadines, Lucky might open up a little. Robert said. Lake finally agreed but only if he could chose the activity and Robert had to loose some of the bodyguards. At least keep them out of sight. Lake had pleaded with his father. Robert finally agreed. He could not help but worry about what his son was up to. Lakes plan was simple he was going to show up Lucky. It did not work out the way he planed. Lucky ended up showing him up and even had fun in the process. I did not know you could do those stunts. Lake said after catching up with Lucky on the out door Roller blade court. Yeah, Nicholas had one built for his birthday one year. He wasnt that good but I could use it when he was in his Cassadine hair lessons. I had to fake being better when he was around, but no body carried what I did after that. As long as I was not under foot that is all that mattered, he said a little more quiet. Life must have been rough, said Lake. It wasnt that bad. I did have some fun. Nicholas took those drawing courses for me and we did have exploring the secrets of the island. I know every place to hide on that island. Lucky said removing his blades. Where to now? I thought about going to Rubys for lunch but to many Spencers could pop up on us. How about McDonalds? asked Lake. McDonalds? questioned Lucky. Boy, you have been deprived. Lets go save our Pops and I am going to introduce you to a real American hamburger. Lake said running over to catch Robert be for he fell for the hundredth time. As Lucky caught up, his mind was thinking. Hamburger? Luke and Robert went to order while the boys grabbed a table, So its made out of ground beef but its called a hamburger. Why dont they call it beefburger? Lucky asked. Lake knew he should have never tried to explain what a hamburger was made of. Ever since he got Lucky to talk. He has been asking the most dumbest questions. Lake all most wish he shut up again. I dont know Lucky. They just do. said Lake. Hoping to change the subject, Lake asked. What movies do you like? Casablanca. The Maltese Falcon. Lucky began. Hold it. Dont you know any that have been made more recently he asked thinking. The Cassadines cant have deprived him of that. Could they? We did see all the Star Wars movies. Alexis bought them for Nik. We watched them once in her room. When Stavros and Helena were on some trip, he said. Star Wars. Have you seen the remakes of all them. Lake asked. No. Them? There is only one, right. said Lucky. Then lets go. I bet dad would not mind. Lake laughed. He has seen the movies a hundred times One. Lucky there are three movies. Didnt you know that? Lake said in surprise. (I know the movies are older then that, but hay the Cassadines are snakes. They would barley let him do anything. Why not know that Star Wars was only the first of three. Anyway Star Wars is my favorite movies of all time. I love Han Solo.) See dad that wasnt that bad. laughed Lake after the movies. Lake your lucky. He hasnt seen them or we would have chosen something else. Robert threatened. Lake could just smile. Lucky was still in shock about everything. He did have smile on his face and his questions were kept down to a minimal. Lake did have to admit. Lucky wasnt that bad after he got to know him. The more he knew. The more Lake hated the Cassadines and hopped his father would wipe them out. Chapter 16 Back to Lucky's Hell |
