Epilogue

Five years have past since that Thanksgiving and it is now a week before
Christmas. Lucky has just finished his first year in collage and has decided to
go on to Law School. He hasnt decided on what type of Law yet but nothing is
going to stop him. Nikolas has just taken over most of the operation of the
Cassadine family and he has made a lot of changes from now on. The heir decides
who runs the family next not the place you were born. He wanted to give everyone
a chance to run everything. Robin and Nikolas are planning to get married in the
spring and Laura is busy with the plans. Peter and V got married a year before
and are expecting their first child. Grandpa Caine is happy about the event and
cant wait to spoil the kid. Kermit has been after Bobbie for weeks now and she
has slowly warmed up to him. Jerry Jacks burnt her bad but she is willing to
give Kermit a try. Luke and Laura did have a baby, twins to be exact, Stephanie
and Andrew. Laura named the girl and Luke the boy. He never told her where
Andrew came from and he never will. Luke was going to take that one to his
grave.

Luke walked up to the womens prison and had mixed feelings about this day. He
has dreamed of it for a long time now but now it has arrived. Luke didnt know
what to think. He knew Helena deserved to die but she would be missed. They did
have a lot of fun over the years and now it was over. Luke sat in his chair
staring at the chamber in front of him. Helena was due to arrive at any second.
He knew the Governor wasnt going to stop this one and it was only a matter of
time.

When Helena did finally arrive, Luke was shocked to see. How old she has gotten.
Helena Cassadine didnt look like the same lady. Her hair was dull and her face
had been aged considerably. Helena looked around at the room full of people and
stopped her eyes on Luke. She didnt say anything until it was her time for her
last words. Luke. You and me have had a good fight. You have finally won this
battle but not the war. I have made plans for someone to carry on this war
between our families. They will put you in your grave and your precious Lucky
beside you. I promise you, Helena said.

Luke didnt doubt her a bit, and made plans to look for the next threat. He
watched in silence as the guards strapped Helena into the chair and left the
room. She sat in silence as the gas started to fell the chamber. Helena fought
for a good long while but then she finally died. Luke left the prison without a
word to the press. He felt empty for loosing Helena like that. He wanted to end
her life on his own terms and in his own time, but that didnt happen.

Luke got in the car and drove away. He was thinking of Andrew and wondered if
the Angel of Death got time off. He might need it after taking Helena. She could
drive even an Angel into wanting a drink. Andrew did appear right then and said,
She was as bad as her husband. Im glad God doesnt have too many of them in
this world.

You could at least tell someone you are going to do that, Luke complained.

Sorry. I knew you were thinking of me and I want to know if you are all right,
Andrew said.

Im fine and did the old bat go to hell all right, Luke asked him with an evil
smile.

She didnt go easy but she went. She really didnt like it when she didnt see
Stefan. How is my name sake? Andrew asked him.

He is an angel and so is Stephanie. They are just past their fourth birthday
and Laura and I are thinking we are nuts to having kids in this stage in life,
Luke told him.

Dont worry. You have a lot of help and I have it on good authority that you
and Laura are not joining us any time soon, Andrew said and then he was gone.

Luke drove home in silence, thinking of his family and friends. He loved his
life and wouldnt have traded it for anything in the world.
