Chapter Twenty One

The next day, Peter Caine walked into the Port Charles Police Department and
found Taggert pushing a suspect around. Peter put his hand on Taggert's shoulder
and said. You dont have to play so rough.

Get off me and who the hell are you to tell me what to do. Taggert yelled
pushing Peter away.

Im the detective who is going to show you how to do your job. The mayor has
put me in charge of making you and the other detectives around here into real
cops. Rule one, dont ever shove me. Peter said getting right into Taggert's
face.

Mac arrived right then and pulled the two men apart. Peter introduced himself
and they headed into Macs office. Peter notice that Taggert didnt take his
eyes off him. He got a good look at the file on Taggert and he didnt like him.
He knew what Taggert looked like from Sonny and Jason and realized that Taggert
is the very reason men like Sonny and Jason ran Port Charles. The people didnt
have real cops to turn to for help.

Im aware why you are here, but please dont antagonize my detectives. Mac
asked.

I dont care about your detectives. The mayor gave me a special job to do and
not you or anyone else is going to stand in my way. I read Taggerts file and he
shouldnt be a cop. He is way too hot headed and goes by his own rules. I might
be hot tempered but I know where to draw the line. He doesnt. Peter said. I
have work to do commissioner. So, If you dont mind. Im going to get to it.
Peter suddenly left Macs office. Mac looked at him in shock and was impressed
at the same time. Taggert might have just met his match.

Across town, Stefan and Helena Cassadine were having major problems with their
companies. Stefan couldnt access any of the accounts and found they were locked
out of all banks. When, he thought things couldnt get worse. The power all over
Spoon Island went out. What is going on here? he yelled.

This is what we get for letting someone like you run this family. Helena
yelled at him.

Shut up, Mother. Stefan yelled back and picked up the phone to call the
electric company. He found his cell phone was dead. Stefan was angry. He threw
the phone across the hall and shattered in pieces against the far wall. Both of
the Cassadines drove into town to find out was going on. Helena headed to her
yacht and Stefan into town. They both got surprises when they arrived at their
destinations.

Helena found her yacht was gone. She found Ari standing by the dock holding his
and her bags. What is going on? she demanded.

The yacht has been impounded. The workman said you were declared dead and that
everything was going to be held in probate until your will was read. I tried to
stop them but nothing changed their minds. They only let me grab a few of yours
and my things, he said sadly. But the money and your jewels had to stay on the
yacht.

I was what? she yelled. Spencer is behind this. Nikolas hasnt come home and
my men say he is at the Spencers. He must have warned Luke and he done
something, but this isnt going to stop me. I will see his son dead. I missed
when the train derailed but Im not going to miss twice. Helena ordered Ari to
follow her and they headed back to Spoon Island.

She didnt realize three Angels were standing behind them. Andrew turned to Tess
and said. Now, What? She is still bent on killing that boy. I think it is time
we told Luke the truth. He needs to know.

Your right and I think we also should show ourselves to Caine and his friends
they are going to need to be warned. Tess agreed. The three of them vanished
and headed to their own destinations.

Stefan was at the courthouse getting the same information and found that Alexis
Davis was now in charge of Nikolas and the Cassadine money. He almost laughed.
Alexis was more his sister then he thought. He did regret pushing her away when
the truth about Katherines death came out. She wouldnt lift a finger to help
but maybe she would he hoped at least just to get rid of Helena.
