| Chapter Fifteen Kermit walked into Caines shop and found the priest sitting on the floor meditating. Hello, Kermit. What can I help you with? Caine asked. It isnt for me. An old friend of mine just called. He lives a life a lot like you and your sons, but his son was blinded in accident and now he needs help. Luke, my friend, has made a lot of enemies and they would hurt his son to get back at him. Lucky needs to learn to handle himself the way things are. Kermit said. The boy is strong minded and willed. Is he not? Caine asked. Yes. Lucky is a lot like his father but he does have a lot of his mother. He will be a good student. Kermit told him. I know. Ive been waiting for you. Tell Mr. Spencer, he has the help. I will be arriving in Port Charles by tomorrow. Caine said getting to his feet. How do you do that? Kermit asked him. Caine just smiled and walked to gather his belongings. I will stop by and tell Peter good bye before my plane leaves. Caine arrived at the Spencers door the next morning. He looked up at the house and smiled. I could be really need around here for awhile. he thought to himself. Caine rung the door bell and Luke answered it. You must be Caine. Kermit is right. You are a odd character and that is a complement from another odd one. Luke said sticking out his hand. Come on in. Kermit puts a lot a faith in you and so. Laura and I are spending the day together. Im going to spend the next six months in jail and this is the last day of freedom. I think Lucky and you could use this time to get to know one anther. and showed Caine into the living room. Lucky was sitting on the floor trying to play with his sister. Lu sometimes forgot that her brother couldnt see any more. The little girl kept holding up her pictures and asked him what he thought. Lucky just laughed and said they were great. Cowboy, this is Caine. He is the friend of Kermit I told you about. Luke said walking over to his son. Caine looked at the boy and smiled. He could see the boys aura from the other side of the room. He knew Lucky was a survivor and with a little help would live to very old age. Hello, Lucky. My name is Caine. Caine said sitting down on the floor beside the boy. Hi. Dad says you know Kermit? Lucky asked him. I know Kermit. Caine said. Lu Lu looked up from her drawing and said. You know Kermit the Frog. Lucky and Caine laughed at that remark. They both wondered what Kermit would do to a little girl saying those words. They both knew what would happen to an adult. Lucky tilted his head and asked. How are you going to help me? You know different things by the sounds and smells, right? Caine asked him. Yes, but how is that going help? Lucky asked. You dont need your eyes to see the world. You just need another way of seeing things. Im going to teach you and by the time Im done you will able defend yourself even better then before all this. Caine said. All right, Ill try anything. Im tired of being scared of what could happen. Lucky said. Chapter 16 Back to Angels Lend A Helping Hand index |
