| Chapter One This Chapter takes place about the begining of Decemeber. Carly and Sonny are still seperated, but its apparent that neither wants a divorce. Even though the teens won't come into the story for awhile, I'll brief you on them. Emily never got into a car accident and her and Zander are still together. Sonny did hold Aj into a Meat locker, and Aj tried to tell Emily about the liquer thing, but she didn't believe him. Liz broke up with Lucky and left for unknown parts, and Nik and Gia are engaged. The whole Cassadine End game thing never happened and Stavvy never came into the picture. Carly, deep in thoughts, walked aimlessly down the docks. Her son was at Sonny's and she dismissed the bodyguard and threatened him that she would call the police and say he was a stalker if he didn't leave. He finally left so she had the night to herself to think. Her life was practically in shambles. All she had was her son. And God did she love him. But she felt she was being selfish. She could have given him a perfect family. Her, Sonny, and her son. Well, their son. She considered Sonny to be his father more than anyone. She had the chance where she could have had it all, but she wanted more. She deserved more. She wasn't about to place herself in a relationship where there was no trust. She couldn't do it. But she still wanted her son to have somewhat of a family. Heck she wanted a family with the man she loved. But no, she was starting anew. She was going to change back to her real self. Not someone who is wimpy and whiny. She hated those people. She was so amidst in her thoughts she barely realized that right in front of her was about 5 boys attacking a girl. She mentally cursed herself for walking the dock alone at night and for calling off her body guard as she ran towards the little group. She reached the first kid, turned him around and she sprayed him square in the eyes with a can of mace she managed to take out of her pocketbook. "Bitch!" He hissed in pain. The boys noticed her and left the other girl alone, then went to her. Carly tried to signaled to the girl to run, but she obviously wasn't understanding, for she just stood there. "Hey, she's a pretty this one. We could have fun with her." One of the boys said licking his lips. She tried hard not to roll her eyes at these punks. She noticed the girl was getting up and she tapped one of the boys shoulders prompting him to turn around and kicked him square in the ahem "private" spot. He went down with a string of vulgarity. Her other "assailants" came towards here. Hey what the hell? I need to kick someone's ass. Carly thought. "I think you boys need a good lesson in manners." She said as she and the girl descended upon the boys ready to give them one helluva a fight... The Next day "Hold it. I'm coming." Carly said climbing down the stairs, extremely annoyed that someone decided to interrupt her beauty sleep, by knocking on the door. "Can you hold it?" She said as she flung the door open to reveal her ex-husband. "Jeese, Sonny what are you doing here this early?" She asked and glanced at the clock that said it was 12 noon. "Damn, its that late?" She said more to herself. "Carly? Where were you? Where's your guard? You were supposed to pick up Michael at 11. I was starting to get...." He trailed off just noticing the shiner she had on her left eye. "My God, Carly what happened to you?" "What are you talking about? Where is Michael? I'm sorry I was late, I over slept." "Michael's at my house. But what happened to your eye?" He asked worriedly. "What?" She said as she went towards the mirror. "Aw, Crap!" she yelled, muttering about 'those jerks marking up her totally good face' leaving a totally clueless and angered Sonny trailing behind. She went towards the couch, where Sonny just noticed someone else was sleeping there. "Courtney! Wake up!" Carly shook the girl, who she had helped last night and invited her over to her house for the night where they spent the whole night talking. Well, Carly did. Courtney just listened. "What Caro?" She said and then looked at Carly's face and busted out laughing. "What was that about no one could beat you up?" "Shut up! If it wasn't for me you'd be toast. Plus look at your lip!" She said satisfied, pointed at her lip. Courtney rushed towards the mirror and indeed she had a split lip. "Those little..." She said as she went for her shoes. "Hey Co, where you going?" "I'm going to finish them off!" She huffed as she went for her jacket. "Uh, exactly where will you find them?" Courtney stopped and realized Carly was right. She sat backed down and took off her shoe. "Yeah, but if I ever run into them..." "They will probably recognize us and run the other way!" Carly smiled and the two bursted out laughing again, completely oblivious to the fact that Sonny was standing there with an extremely pissed off look. "Yeah, we definitely did a number on them!" "Well, thank God for boots with about five inch heels!" Courtney giggled. "HELLO!" Sonny yelled finally getting the attention of the two girls. "I want some answers and I want them now!"
