Who am I?
I am a guy who likes leather pants. And, I am straight (as if it really matters). I know that there are few others like me--I have heard from some of you-- and others of you are maybe just "leather curious."
Where did I get my leather pants?
Actually, I have two pairs.
My first pair (and my favorite) I got from Macy's. They're a pair of black, Alfani, lambskin plain front trousers. They were only $50 when I got them on clearance. And, they are perfect. They didn't even need any alterations. And, they look great.
My other pair I got from Gap. They are brown 5-pocket style. They are pretty good. Once again, I got a pair that fit perfectly. Definitely a great bargain since they were less than $30.
There had been more mainstream stores offering leather pants, but they don't seem to be selling many. The choices now are slim, but they may be affordable.
Was I nervous as shit when I bought them?
Yes, I was really nervous when I bought them, more so when I bought my first pair. You know, there aren't many guys brave enough to wear leather pants. But, I think if every guy tried them on, there'd be no question. They'd all have at least one pair.
How often do I wear my pants?
Not as much as I'd like to. It can be tricky finding the right situation, but I have found a few. And, they are great to wear around the house. Really.

Askmen.com recently offered some advice about wearing leather pants. You can check for the online article, but basically it said that leather pants for guys are still in style, but be careful where you wear them. I think it depends on the style. But, in general, it's probably better for a party, dinner, or a night out on the town.
And, if you're nervous about what others might think, you're probably making a bigger deal than necessary. I have not gotten any negative remarks on mine, and I hear of plenty of men who get great comments from women. Sometimes, the women just want to touch the leather. Now, c'mon guys, isn't this a great ice breaker?

Some of the following places have a pretty good selection of leather clothing online for men:
Danier: A Canadian company that has really good looking leather, especially their leather pants. And not a bad number of options. I have no idea about the quality. They will send you a sample kit of the different types of leather they offer.
Wilsons: The mall place. There stuff looks okay, but I am not sure how great the quality is.
International Male: Most of the leather on this website is a bit much, but I don't think I am their target market, either.
Every once in a while, department stores like Macy's and Nordstrom have leather pants available (especially online). In Winter 2004, I noticed that Saks had some pricey leather pants available.
