One night in Heaven
"Alan, are you ready, honey?" David Gahan was sitting in the sitting room of Alan's flat. They

were about to go to the club Heaven, a gay club that they loved. Various gay celebrities have

been there, such as Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys and Bernard Sumner of New Order. But

tonight, they were going to have a time of their own. Alan was trying to put some mousse into his

hair while David retouched his lip balm and lip gloss on his lips. Alan was dressed in chic

leather attire. David was also dressed in leather too, although they obviously weren't into

motorbikes.

"I just need to finish up my hair, David and I'll be right there." Alan replied, running his

fingers through his hair to make sure it was in place. Then, he picked up his Gucci handbag and

greeted David with a smile. "Honey, let's go. Tonight is the leather night, which is my absolute

favourite and the music will be playing so loudly there." Alan glanced at David, who stood up as

well. "Do you have the taxi waiting for us?" David asked. "Yes, isn't he there yet?" Alan peered

at the window. "Yeah, he's there." Alan told David.

The music was blaring in the club as they took a seat. Leather Night, as it was known as,

always featured 80s hi-nrg music, which was always their favourite to dance to. They took a seat

and David winked at the employee, dressed in black trousers and a white shirt to bring them

drinks. "I'll have the strawberry daiquiri." Alan told the man. "And I'll have the tropical daiquiri,

please." David continued. "Alan, we still have time before our drinks come, so why don't we

dance?" he patted Alan's shoulder. "All right." They stood up and stepped onto the dancefloor

to dance the night away. When the song "You make me feel mighty real" came on, David was

suggestively grinding his hips near Alan when numerous whistles were heard across the floor.

"Fabulous!" yelled one. Alan also heard someone shout "You go boys!!!!".  The dancing continued

and they took their seats again. "Whoo!! It's so fab to be in the centre of all of the attention. You

just feel like you own the floor and everybody's staring at us..." David girlishly and breathlessly

exclaimed as he took a sip of his tropical daiquiri. "Did you see any famous people there when we

were dancing?" Alan asked him. "No. Not tonight. Usually, you can sometimes see Neil Tennant,

you know, that bloke from the Pet Shop Boys and his boyfriend, Bernard what's his name." David

replied, putting the glass down. "You mean Bernard Sumner, right?" Alan added. "Yeah, I think

that's his last name. "He's the blond one, well, recently his hair has gotten a little bit darker."

Alan informed him. "I guess I kind of do remember him."

"He looks so young for his age and he's actually older than us. You'd think that he was

significantly younger than Neil, but they're only two years apart." Alan thoughtfully chimed in.

"Do you fancy going back to my place after here?" David asked Alan in a sly, calculated manner.

"Sure, why not?" Alan replied, ultimately knowing David's intentions. "Let's dance a tad bit more,

though. I'm sure we can't play loud music in a flat and it's still a little early." Alan suggested,

looking at his partner. "Whatever you say, dear." David replied, suddenly kissing Alan. The fruity

scent of the daiquiri lingered upon their lips as they parted. "Come on, let's go dance." David

tugged at Alan.

So they danced. Like it was Babylon at "Queer as Folk". And no matter how many times David

asked Alan to the dancefloor, Alan knew how he could get David to be less assertive. Especially

when Alan was usually the top and David was usually the bottom.

Morning came and it was apparent that Alan had spent the night at David's. After a hard night at

Heaven and at home, it wasn't surprising that they slept in late that day.

They didn't believe in heaven, yet they loved the club Heaven. And their dance performance

was nearly infamous from that day on.
