After the concert
It had been minutes after the crowd was finished with it's cheering. This was at an anonymous nightclub in

London. Pop diva Madonna had a gig there, celebrating her new album. Bernard knew that his boyfriend Neil

and Neil's musical partner Chris Lowe were there. He just simply needed to find them out of the crowd. Instead,

Neil found him. "Bernard?" Neil tapped his shoulder.

"Neil! I loved the show...she was simply...glittering with vitality. She still amazes me to this day!" Bernard

gasped.

"I loved her too. Don't we all love Miss Madonna?" Neil chuckled.

"Where's Chris?" Bernard curiously asked.

"He went home already. He says he's got a date. And so do we, Bernard."

Bernard smiled back at Neil. "Of course," he replied.

"Where do you want to go, Bernard?" Neil asked him.

"I don't know...I don't feel like drinking or dancing after this gig..."

"Why not we go to my flat, Bernard?" Neil suggested.

"We're tired anyways so we could just relax." he added.

"I would love to, Neil."

Both men held hands as they stepped out of the danceclub and waved at a vacant taxi approaching them.

The taxi driver asked them, "Where do you two want to go?"

Neil told the driver the address, anxiously watching the driver's face.

"What? You blokes got a problem with me?" the driver slurred.

"No, sir." Bernard answered sheepishly.

As the taxi approached Neil's flat, Bernard smiled. He couldn't wait to get out of the taxi and be with Neil.

It would be just the two of them. Sometimes, he had cried at Neil's flat. But this time, there were no emotional

breakdowns involved. It would all be the honey-sweet taste of their love that would be present.

"Here we are, finally at my flat," Neil whispered into Bernard's ear.

Bernard let out a girlish giggle. "That was a wonderful gig again, Neil."

"If you want to, we can make this a sleepover, you know, with sleeping bags, popcorn and a film." Neil winked.

"That's lovely, Neil! I like sleepovers too, but as a couple, we surely do love sleepovers, I guess."

Neil stared at Bernard's boyish face.

"Well, sleepovers are fun, aren't they?"

Bernard smiled back.

"They're so incredibly fun. I don't understand why many men are unwilling to do this."

"I don't know, darling, but it doesn't matter to us," Neil gently replied.

"Instead of watching a film, I want to stay up in our sleeping bags and chat," Bernard suggested to him.

"That would be nice," he replied.

Neil then stood up and told Bernard, "I'll get the sleeping bags, then."

Bernard nodded his head.

The two men, cuddled up in each individual sleeping bag, had a couple of blankets to ensure their warmth

during the cold night.

They stayed up late talking about their dates, music, literature and other things they could think of.

"Good night, Neil," Bernard childishly mumbled.

"Good night, Bernard. Sweet dreams, honey."

Neil stroked Bernard's soft, blond coloured hair and kissed him gently on the lips. While kissing, Bernard

grasped onto Neil as well.
