| A Lovely Sleepover | ||||||
| Neil knocked gently on Bernard's door. They had planned on spending their entire weekend together, which was a sleepover at Bernard's flat. "Neil! I'm so glad to see you!" Bernard exclaimed. It was eight o'clock in the evening and Bernard was dressed in his pastel blue velvet pyjamas. "Come in, Neil," Bernard smiled warmly. "You look absolutely adorable, Bernard," Neil complimented him. Bernard blushed as Neil walked in the doorway. "So, Bernard, what do you fancy doing tonight?" "I don't know, Neil," Bernard replied. "Shall we chat?" Bernard nodded. As they both sat down on the sofa, Bernard cuddled up to Neil. Just as much as Bernard loved to cuddle up to Neil, Neil also liked to cuddle with him. Neil started stroking Bernard's blond coloured hair. Neil adored Bernard's boyish looks and mannerisms. Perhaps, to others, Bernard may have seemed childish, but Neil loved and appreciated his boyish qualities, anyways. "Are you and Chris making a new album?" Bernard curiously asked Neil. "Well, we're trying to work on it," he replied. "That's awfully nice." Bernard suddenly kissed Neil on the cheek. Bernard cheerfully told Neil, "I'll get the chocolate biscuits I baked." "Thank you, Bernard," Neil replied, with a warm, protective smile on his face. He thought that in their relationship, he was the protective one, even though he was only two years older than Bernard. Of course, they would always be there for each other, nevertheless. Bernard returned with a plate of chocolate biscuits. "I'll get the tea ready, Neil," Bernard told Neil as he set the plate down. "Bernard, would you like me to help?" Neil asked gently. "I'll be fine," he replied. Neil smiled at Bernard as he walked back into the kitchen. He then glanced at the photograph frames that were on the table. There was a picture of Neil alone and a few pictures of Neil with Bernard. "Here's the tea," Bernard said as he set down the two teacups. "Thanks, Bernard. I have got a splendid idea for tomorrow. Perhaps it would be nice if we went to the art museum in the high street," Neil suggested. Bernard replied, "I agree. It would be wonderful to see the beautiful works of art." He reached out for a biscuit. It was extravagantly luscious and decadent, with chocolate dough, milk chocolate chips and bittersweet chocolate chips, then dipped into chocolate. Bernard smiled boyishly and then took a sip of the Earl Grey tea. Neil also reached out for a biscuit and daintly nibbled it. "Darling, Bernard! These are scrumptious! Not only because they are delicious, but also because you made them, honey!" Neil hugged Bernard with the biscuit still in his hand. "I made them just for us, but I can give you the recipe," Bernard eagerly told him. "That would be lovely," Neil enthusiastically replied. Neil then took a sip of his tea and remarked, "We're both chocoholics by now, aren't we?" Bernard smiled boyishly. "I guess we are." Neil chuckled. "You're so sweet, Bernard," he told him as Bernard poured some more tea. He put the teapot down and replied, "Of course I am." "Do you remember the time we went to the Disneyland in California?" he asked Neil. "I recall it," Neil replied, reminiscing about their holiday at Disneyland some years ago. "You were adorable standing with Mickey Mouse in the pictures we took, Neil!" Bernard cheerfully remarked. Neil reached out for the photo albums and started looking at them with Bernard. Years of their relationship had been collected in the photo album. The more hours passed, the more of the biscuits on the plate disappeared. It was an incredibly affectionate experience, cuddling together, nibbling on biscuits and talking to each other... "I want to go to sleep," Bernard whispered in his soft, childish voice. Neil put his arm around Bernard and replied, "I do, too." After cleaning themselves up, Neil and Bernard started to set up a sleeping area in the sitting room. They brought out numerous blankets and cushions to use; it was cold outside. Their sleeping area consisted of a few blankets, some cushions and a few more soft and cosy blankets to cover them. It was warm, not only because they were going to sleep next to each other, but also because they had plenty of blankets. "Good night, Neil," Bernard sleepily mumbled. "Good night, my dear," Neil replied. They both held hands as they fell asleep and both were soothed by each other's presence. |
