I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and I now live in a rural community on the outskirts of the city. I live with my husband, Kevin, and ever-faithful canine companion, Gracey. I attended Mercer University and majored in English Literature. My crazy multitude of interesting career moves in the city has given me fodder for so many books. I worked for the number one radio station in the 90's and wrote commercial copy in my spare time; leading me to realize I enjoyed creative writing immensely. A short stint at a small town newspaper left me with a myriad of interesting characters and settings to draw from. But my biggest influence was the encouragement from my friends and family.
