I was born in Thailand and came to America in my late teen age. I have been studying in Early Childhood Education and currently work as an Associate Teacher in the laboratory infant, toddler and preschool of Early Childhood Education and Family Studies Center at College of The Canyons in California where I earned my Child Development Associate Credential and Early Childhood Education Certificate. I used to work as a Preschool and Toddler Teacher at Tutor Time Child Care and Learning Center in California.
I also volunteer to teach Art Appreciation Program to 3rd and 5th grade students at a local elementary school; and volunteer on the weekends to teach Thai language and culture at Wat Thai of Los Angeles since 2004.
My favorite classes are Art, English, Singing and Young Children Education. My goal is to be a preschool or kindergarten teacher. I enjoy working with young children, especially with my two little children.
The most interesting experience with children was when I volunteered to teach English to Thai children from 2 to 6 years old. It was fascinating to see how children could learn another language so fast for just one day. There are many ways to teach children to enjoy learning about the world they live in. They need thier parents and family support and encouragement. Why not start now? Help our children learn and grow healthy. It is never too late! |
