The Teachers of the Learning Bridge Preschool
JANE COLE--Executive Director with 18 units of ECE. Jane has worked with children for
29 years and has been the Executive Director/Owner of  the Learning Bridge Preschool for 25 years.
She has two children who attended the program, ages21 and 29 years old. See "Our Philosophy".           "I love working with children and offering them a fun and educational environment where creativity     plus the arts are a part of daily life. Children are honest people with lots of love, creativity and a passion for life.They teach ME many things about life! I love making a difference in each child's life and find  working with children very rewarding." Jane is very active with the school, its teaching practices,      
               with the many parties and events held each school year, and is the primary substitute                                        when a Teacher is not able to work at the Learning Bridge School.
KATHY--Program Director with 18 units plus an Adminstrative Class.  Kathy has worked 29 years  with children including work in State Preschools and SFUSD Preschools. She has worked 11 years with LBS and has a daughter who now is attending college in Japan.  Kathy is a knowledgeable Teacher who helps the children have a positive daily experience at school.  She loves to read books to the children!       
                She is very helpful with parents who have questions about  age appropriate behavior.                                        Kathy opens the school up on a daily basis and works about 30 hours a week.
      EVELYN--Head Teacher with 21 units of ECE and 13 years of work with children.                     She has worked 9 years with the Learning Bridge Preschool and is a mother of 4 children             
                                              (ages 5,13,16, and 21 years old).                                                                      Evelyn continues to attend classes in Early Childhood Education.  She loves working with children and the field is a lifetime committment.  Evelyn helps with the process of admissions                   by setting up tour dates for parents.  Evelyn speaks Spanish and works 30-40 hours a week.
JACKI--Teacher with 12 units of ECE. Jacki has over ten years of work with children and five years
  with our school. Jacki is fun and has great teaching skills!  She works with the Pre-K children on their 
                           readiness skills for Kindergarten.  Jacki works full time.
JENNY--Teacher with 12 units of ECE. Jenny has worked with children for 3 1/2 years and has been  
  with us for 2 years.  " I am fond of children and just love to work with them. I am able to interact with           them and learn new things at the same time."  Jenny had a great knack to help newly enrolled children                                                      feel comfotable with their new school.                                                                               Jenny speaks Cantonese and Vietnamese and works about 34 hours a week.
       CECILIA--Teacher's Aide in the morning.  Cecilia is a "natural"                        and helps the Teachers with art, supervision, and having a fun day at school.
                                 Cecilia speaks Vietnamese.
AUDREY--Teacher with 12 units of Early Childhood Education.      Audrey has studied art and intends on getting a Teaching Credential.
HUONG--Huong had a Supervior's Permit and works in the afternoons at the Learning Bridge
                                 Preschool.  She has worked with LBS for about three years.
                                           Huong speacks Cantonese and Vietnamese.
NIKI--Teachers Aide- Has worked with the Learning Bridge for two years. Nicki attends college to 
                 become a Registered Nurse.  Nicki speaks Spanish and works part-time afternoons.
EVA--Eva has worked with children for 10 years and been with us for over six. She has a B.A. from SF State University in Child and Adolescent Development with an emphasis in Young Children and Families. 36+ units of ECE, and a second B.A. from SFSU in Raza Studies. She is currently a Masters degree candidate at Pacific Oaks College, with plans to graduate next May (5/2008) with a degree in Human Development. She also has a current Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC) Site Supervisor's permit. " I love working with young children, for it is at this early stage of development that their perceptions of themselves and of the world take root. My role as an educator has been to guide preschooler's expierences that validate them and celebrate them in order to grow into themselves and others. Children need early socializing expieriences that validate them and celebrate them in order to grow into competent and successful adults. I am helping to create positive change in society and the world through the healthy development or our childrens' hearts and minds. In my caretaking work with the children, I use all of my heart, mind, body and spirit- and so all of my being is fulfilled. i think that this is the most important work that i can do in my life- both for others and for myself!".  Eva works part-time afternoons.
Nicole--Substitute Teacher--Nicole has been working with children for 12 years and had worked with us  for two years. She has over 40 units of ECE and recieved an A.A. Degree in Child devolepment in 1996.  
          She also has a Site Supervisor Permit and Certificates of Completion in Child Development for Administration and School Age Care. "The reason I work with children is because I feel that they are not given enough respect in today's society. I enjoy contributing to children's emotional and social development and building strong ties with their families. Children are always honest and have genuine affection for their
                  teachers."  Nicole now works on a part-time schedule during the summer.
Dance Teacher--Shireen has been teaching dance to children in the Bay Area for the past fifteen years.  She has developed a unique program which combines ballet, jazz, yoga and creative dance.  
            Children learn the joy of exploring fun movements and rythyms in a supportive                                         and creative environment. Shireen teachers two dance classes each month.
Gymnastics Teacher--Bobby works with Acrosports and teachers a gymnastics program    
                                   every Friday at the Learning Bridge Preschool.
