Diapering Procedures

1. Lay child on changing mat, adult puts gloves on, remove diaper.
2. Put diaper into diaper pail.
3. Wash child's bottom with baby wipe until clean.
4. Put new diaper on child.
5. Lay child down on floor and wash diaper pad with baby wipes (if soiled).
6. Spray diaper pad with bleach/water solution and wipe off completely. Put paper towels and gloves in diaper pail.
7. Put diaper pad and diaper supplies tote away.
8. Wash adult and child's hands thoroughly with soap and running water.
9. Dry hands thoroughly.
10. Record diaper change on chart.
