In October of 2000, our friend Blair Learmont passed away suddenly at the age of 38.  Blair was a devoted father and husband, a close friend to many and and a succesful businessman.

His love for life and his commitment to family and friends are a benchmark that we can all look up to.

Blair wanted to help organize a golf tournament that would bring everyone together once a year for a long time and we could never quite find the time to plan it all out.  He realized that as life goes on, family and personal goals far too often mean that friends grow apart and take different roads that make it difficult to get together. That no matter how much people may want to see each other, lifes day to day challenges could make it very difficult.
Blair's Tournament is meant not only to remember our friend but to serve as a reminder to us that we should take the time to get together with the people that have made such a huge impact on our lives.  Growing up in Bracebridge alot of us can remember the incredible times we had.  The all weekend parties, road trips, concerts, Bass Rock, Bob's cottage and boat rides to The Key.  Too many things to mention and some that we still can't talk about!

It's a time to stop our hectic every day lives just for one day a year and celebrate our friendship, remember good times, old friends and the good old days.  It's  also a great chance to meet new people and make new friends with whom we can share alot of good times with now and years from now.

Although the reason for our tournament started with a heavy heart, it is really a celebration of friendship, good times and the life of our friend.

I think he'd be happy to know that we're laughing and having a beer together at least once a year.
