After a long and extremely successful career in showbusiness, Leapy Lee moved to Majorca to savour the delights of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Leapy quickly established himself as a celebrity on the local English language radio station, Sunshine Radio. At the height of his radio career, Leapy took the unexpected decision to leave the station. Even today, the station fondly remembers Leapy as one of the most widely respected presenters. |
Leapy's career turned to showbiz again, when he began performing the classic hits that had made him a household name in the Sixties to the discerning clientele of some of Majorca's finest nightspots. |
However, the Leapy Lee revival owes itself primarily to Passport to the Sun, the BBC1 fly on the wall docu-soap. Viewers will be aware that Leapy lives with his wife Pauline and his four children, the couple having given birth to twins just over one year ago. The cameras were rolling as we eagerly witnessed the blood, sweat and tears of their birth. Viewers have also seen Leapy's daily struggles as he attempts to balance parenting with showbiz. |
