| ~Augusta~ Green Eyes Bridge - A man murdered his family and then committed suicide on the bridge. His silhouette can be seen hanging from the bridge at night. You can also see his glowing green eyes on and around the bridge. ~Chilton~ Breed Street - A little old lady haunts the road. If you try to approach her, she will vanish right before your eyes. The road is also haunted by a phantom hearse. if you try to drag race, the hearse will appear and race along side your car. ~Christie~ Charlotte Mills Bridge - Haunted by Charlotte Mills, who committed suicide by drowning herself in the Black river underneath the bridge. She can be seen at night standing on the bridge. ~Elk Mound~ Prom Queen Bridge - A young prom queen was killed driving home drunk from the prom when she accidentily drove off the bridge. It is now said that if you look into the water while going over the bridge, you can see her headlights shining back at you. Others have claimed to chased by phantom headlights while driving down the road. ~Fifield~ Holy Cross - It is said that at the railroad crossing on Holy Cross Road, a woman was killed by a train and now she haunts the area to protect others from her fate. Her ghost has been seen on the railroad tracks, and floating above a small pond near the tracks. Also gnomes have been seen on the tracks. Some say that if you throw rocks into the woods next to the tracks, something will throw them right back. ~Hillbert~ Hillbert Road - A young girl was killed on this road. Her father, distraught, wanders up and down the road searching for his daughter even after his own death. His ghost is often seen standing under a large tree on the side of the road. Some people say that he only has half a face! ~Independence~ The Legend of Lavender Lily - A young girl named Lily was killed while walking home from a high school dance. Her ghost now can be seen walking down the road near the graveyard where she was buried. If you pass her and look in your mirror, she will disappear right before your eyes. It is said she wont show herself if a woman is in the car. ~Menasha~ Valley Road - Haunted by a black phantom carriage. It is said that long ago, a young man was thrown from his carriage on the way to his wedding and was accadently hung in a large tree by the side of the road. ~Ripon~ Callan Road - Often referred to as witch road, because legend has it that around 50 years ago, a witch lived there. Upon her death, she cursed the road and her property to remain haunted. People have witnessed a little ghost girl that hides in the woods by the old house. She will peek out at you from behind the trees. ~Seymour~ Chicken Alley - The ghosts of chickens can be seen running down the road and along side your car. A large tree on the side of the road will vanish in the full moon. Phantom snowmobiles have been seen in the area. There is a dare that states if you stand in the intersection, a ghostly voice will yell at you to get out of the road. ~Siren~ Cty Rd B Bridge - During a bad storm on Halloween night, a car skidded off of Cty Rd B and overturned into the creek. The parents and a young daughter was trapped and drowned. Now people have said that while driving across the bridge their radios have cut out, and they heard the voice of a little girl saying "Help me Mommy, I can't get out!" ~Spooner~ Little Valley Road - The road has a dare that if you park on the road, a phantom hearse will pull up behind you and follow you back to town. We parked on the road for a while, but nothing showed up. ~Stevens Point~ Black Bridge - Rumored to be haunted by a worker who was accidentally killed at the mill next to the bridge. Others say that it is the lover of the mill worker who now haunts the bridge. Bloody Bride Bridge - A young bride was on her way to her wedding when she was killed in a car accident on the bridge. It is now said that when you drive over the bridge at night, you can see her standing on the side of the road in her bloody dress. It is also said that after midnight, if you park your car on the bridge and look in the mirror, you will see her sitting in the backseat. Boy Scout Lane - It is claimed that a group of boy scouts were murdered by their bus driver while camping in the woods near the road. Now late at night you can see the ghostly lights of lanterns carried by phantom boy scout searching for their way home. The Legend of Old Swenson - Swenson's in-laws never liked him, so when his wife died, they buried her in a different cemetery instead of next to him. Swenson now wanders up and down Cty Rd II looking for the grave of his wife. You will know it's him because he will be holding flowers for his wife, and that he will be floating, because he legs are missing, cut off in a railroad accident. Red Bridge - The bridge is rumored to be haunted by a family of ghosts. It is said that after midnight, if you park on the bridge and turn off the headlights, you can see the ghost of a woman walk across the bridge. Nobody know who she is or why she haunts the bridge, but others have claimed that sometimes you can also see the ghosts of a man, and little child walking with her. ~Stockbridge~ Joe Road - "old Indian Joe" tried to stop the white man from building the new road over Indian burial grounds, so they killed him and built the road on top of his body. Now, if you stop your car on Joe's road and put it in neutral, Joe's ghost will push you untill your off the burial grounds. The road is just a optical illusion. The road actually tilts downhill even though it looks like it tilts uphill. ~Superior~ Billings Drive - The road is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman with red hair that is often seen walking her dog across the road at night near an old Indian cemetery.
