~Algoma~
Von Stiehl Winery - Dr. Charles Stiehl Loved making wine, maybe a little to much! Legend says that he never left, and still haunts the winery today. Reports are that of
strange sounds, footsteps, occasionally misplaced wine, opened bottles, and moved
items. Apparitions have been seen in the bottling room and the rathskeller.

~Amery~
East Immanuel Lutheran Church - This old Norwegian church is said to be haunted by a phantom congregation. People have heard laughing and talking in the sanctuary when nobody was in there. They also have heard sounds of a potluck dinner going on in the basement, but after going down to the basement they found nothing. Often the townspeople will hear the church bell ringing when the building is empty.

~
Appleton~
Appleton Curling Club - The club is believed to be haunted by it's former members. One member named Ed used to smoke tobacco. The smell of pipe smoke is often present when nobody is around. another member known as Ken had a disability which gave him a distinctive sounding walk. Ken's walk is often heard on the second floor. Apparitions has also been seen in the viewing room.

Hearthstone Museum -
Believed to be haunted by it's former owner A.W. Priest who died in the house. People have reported hearing strange sounds like somebody sneezing when the house was empty. The office manager always says "Good morning Mr. Priest" when opening the front doors to make sure the spirit behaves during the day.

Zuelke Building -
The building is believed to be haunted by it's namesake, Irving Zuelke. One worker claimed that someone tapped him on the shoulder and when he turned around, he saw half a body that faded away. Another time a pianist was playing in the building, and when he stopped, all the elevators stopped working at the same time. When the pianist started playing again, the elevators started working. Irving was a huge music lover in his lifetime.

Caryville ~
Spring Brook Lutheran Church - Legend says that a young minister named Jacob
built this church, but when the town wanted to tear down the church to rebuild, Jacob dismantled the staircase, and hung himself in the bell tower. Now it is said that at night
you can see the ghost of Jacob's lifeless body hanging in the window of the bell tower.

Fosbrook Schoolhouse - One story says that a teacher went berserk and killed all his students, and then hung himself in the belfry. Another story says that a little boy hid in the schoolhouse overnight to excape his drunk, abusive father. the child was found the next morning frozen to death in his desk. It is said that if you sit in his desk, you will feel his spirit pass through your body! A third story is that a black cat with three legs and one eye gaurds the schoolhouse.

~Couderay~
Al Capone's Hideout - Al Capone may have built his Wisconsin cabin retreat on a 400 acre estate overlooking Cranberry lake as a vacation home, but this northwoods cabin was much more like a fortress than a scenic getaway. His main lodge was built with 18 inch thick stone walls to protect him from gun fire, The lodge even had machine gun portholes built into the walls, along with a machine gun turret located on the hill overlooking the driveway entrance, protection against the FBI and an enemy gang, and even a small jail cell large enough to hold one man! Al is said to return to his favorite retreat from time to time, as his ghost is said to be seen inside the lodge. Other "Ghostly Gangsters" have also been spotted on the grounds. No one is sure if they are former members of Capone's gang, or possibly enemys that Al may have disposed of in the lake.

~De Pere ~
James Street Inn - Lights being turned on seconds after being turned off, Doors opening after being locked, Feelings of being watched. In the kitchen area, a cabinet door opened and a large stack of dishes fell out. Several said that they felt like something unseen bumped into them, and one person said that she felt a hand on her shoulder when we was alone in the kitchen.

The Union Hotel -
Most of the hauntings happen down in the basement. Several have felt something walk past them while down in the basement, and some have even said they felt something bump into them. The owner Mary Boyd suspects the ghost is her uncle Joe, but others think it may be her uncles Roy, or Harry. The Union Hotel has been owned and run by the Boyd family for over 90 years.

~Eau Claire~
Allen Cameron House - Allen may have died in 1907, but he never left the house he loved so much! Phenomena includes doors opening and closing on their own, weird
flashes of light, cold drafts of air, misplaced objects, and strange sounds. One report
says that dishes on the kitchen table exploded with nothing in them.

Banbury Place - Most of the stories are about building number 13. It was said that a electrician was accidentally electrocuted working on a air conditioning unit. People have hear screams, moans, and the hum of the old air conditioning unit. other have claimed to see dark shadowy figures in the hallways.

Fire Station No.10 - Said to be haunted by Alex Blum, who died in 1981. Many of the firefighters have seen apparitions, pots & pans fly off the wall, and doors open and close by themselfs. One man said that while on a latter, he could feel a hand on his shoulder. when he looked, he saw the hand fade away right before his eyes.

Stones Throw - A few years back a man mentally snaped. He first painted all the walls in his office black, and then hung himself. This man also had a pet cat. The apparition of this cat has been seen through out the building. Strange things happen in the basement, and the back ally.

~Egg Harbor~
Shipwrecked Brew Pub - Many apparitions have been witnessed in this restaurant. Most often it is that of a stern woman who has been seen walking around the dinning room. Other spirits include that of a angry old man who wanders the property, and that of a young child crying, and a young mother frantically looking for her child. Al Capone used to frequent the Inn, and the formentioned child is believed to be Al's illegitimate son.

~Elk Mound~
Elk Mound Tower - in 1980, somebody fell off of the tower and now haunts it. Strange ghostly mists have been seen, along with strange lights in, and around the tower. It is also said that a dragon is buried underneath the tower.

~Fond du Lac~
The Octagon House - First built back in 1856 it started out as a Indian fort. Later it was transformed into a 12 room house, which was used as part of the underground railroad. The house is said to be haunted by the spirit of a little boy. They say that he is friendly and mischievous. at most all he does is move things around. Many visitors have claimed to have seen his appartion.

~Grafton~
Ferrante's Grafton - The Grafton Hotel has been closed for over 30 years, but the Italian restaurant located inside, The Ferrantes Grafton, is still open for business. Inside the hotel people have witnessed paranormal activity such as doors that open and close by themselves, ghostly music and voices, footsteps in the basement, and shadowy figures. Several employees seek of a crucifix that kept falling off the wall no matter how many times they hung it back up.

~Green Bay~
Astor House - Dr. Julius Bellin, who was known for founding Bellin Hospital, is said to haunt this beautiful old Victorian house. Dr. Bellin bought the house around the turn of the century and remodeled it to his liking. Dr. Bellin is often seen in the parlor sitting in his favorite easy chair in the early mornings, right before dawn. The house is now owned by the Robinsons, who run it as a bed & breakfast.

Baird Creek -
While riding on the bike trails of the Baird Creek park way, People have witnessed a ghostly older gentleman. One bike rider said that he saw the man, but didn't have time to stop and plowed right through him. when he turned around to look, the man had disappeared. A man did in fact die in the area back in the early 60s. Also ghost children have been sighted playing in the creek, and the sounds of children laughing and crying have been reported. We did find out that a child did die in the area in the mid 80s. Two kids were playing "war" and one kid accidentally killed the other one with a real bayonet.

Brewbaker's Pub -
The staff has heard footsteps in the upstairs attic, and have said that lights get shut on and off on them. The manager has stated that he has never seen a apparition at the bar but "It can be a creepy place to be late at night alone, without a doubt, everybody here feels that way." Many of the staff refuse to be the last person left to close the bar at night.

Days Inn -
The boiler room in the basement is said to be haunted. A older gentleman told us that one of his co-workers years ago died, and that he often saw his spirit walking around in the boiler room. Other younger staff members are not willing to go down into the basement alone. Many get strange and uneasy feelings while down there, and some have even claimed to have been touched.

East High School -
Numerous sightings of apparitions have been reported in the basement area nicknamed "The Dungeon" by students. Sightings have also been reported in the fallout shelter, as well in a storage room under the auditorium. In these areas students get uneasy feelings, and some have even claimed to have been touched, shoved, and pushed by something unseen. Another report is that of a world war II soldier that wanders the halls, but he hasn't been seen for many years now.

Firehouse #1 -
The land that the old firehouse was built on used to be a very old cemetery where the first settlers of Green Bay were buried. The bodies were moved to the Allouez cemetery, but many in unmarked graves where left behind. The fireman believe that this is where the hauntings of the firehouse came from. When asked about the hauntings, none would give any descriptions, but one did go on the record saying "I've been here many years and I have seen some pretty strange shit!" Just recently while working on the street next to the firehouse, a body was discovered, but the city decided to but it back into it's resting place.

The Gift Itself -
The spirit of a little girl is often seen on the back staircase. Nobody knows who this little girl is, but after going through some very old boxes that where left behind for previous tenants, some old pictures of a little girl were found. They believe that this may be pictures of their small ghostly friend.

Heritage Hill -
The old Fort Howard Hospital is believed to be haunted by a ghost that the staff has named Henri who roams the hospital and the grounds. Some people feel panicked,as if they must leave the building, others have said that they heard footsteps or felt like they were being watched. Considered to be an evil entity by the staff that knows about him.

Imaginasium Inc. -
Located inside the old Johnson's fish building, There is a old elevator that went from inside down to the river below. Even though the elevator is now completely boarded up with no way to get inside, several people have claimed to hear tapping, knocking, and banging coming from the elevator shaft.

The Joannes Mansion - Back in the day the Joanne family was one of the most wealthy and influential families in Green Bay. One the top floor of their mansion was a large ballroom in where they used to hold huge fancy parties. Several people have claimed after falling down the staircase from the ballroom, that they where pushed by an unseen person. Other people have said that in the after hours of a party, after most everyone went home, that they have seen apparitions dancing around the ballroom. Recently the mansion has been split up into apartments, and the top floor where the ballroom was has been divided up into separate rooms. There hasn't been any reports recently if the new tenants have experienced any supernatural activity.

Lambeau Field -
Believed to be haunted by the ghost of Vince Lombardi. Various sources have recalled how Marie Lombardi, Vince's widow, used to "visit with" the legendary Packers coach at his exhibit in the Packer Hall of Fame. Others have claimed to see Vince in the locker rooms and hearing his footsteps wandering the halls. Some say that the closer the Packers are to winning a Superbowl, the more active Vince's ghost becomes.

TitleTown Brewery - Several people have reported seeing apparitions of people dressed in old 20s style clothing, and a train conductor in a older style uniform. Spatulas and other utensils have been moved around in the kitchen area. Kegs of beer have been moved, but nobody would admit to moving them. Some have even reported hearing a ghostly train whistle, when no trains were around.

WBAY Building -
The hauntings are believed to go back from when the building was run as a catholic high school. The room that is now a large conference room, used to be the auditorium. Child-like voices are often heard at night and in the mid mornings. In the basement there is the old swimming pool. Even thought there is no water, Splashing can be heard from time to time. Staff members are often creeped out and unwilling to go down into the basement alone.

YMCA -
The second floor is said to be haunted my a man in his early 20s. Back when the YMCA used to rent out rooms on the second floor, three deaths have occurred. One died in a fire that he started on a hot plate, One man was stabbed to death in the hallway, and one man was shot while watching television. It is hard to say which of these men are haunting the YMCA. (Maybe all three?)

~Gresnam~
The Novitiate - Originally built in 1939 by Jennie Peters, some believe that the mansion is haunted by her invalid daughter Jane, who the mansion was intended for, but Jane died before it was ever completed and was never in the house. In 1950 the Alexian Brothers acquired the Novitiate as a gift. In 1969 the Alexian Brothers decided to close the Novitiate, put the estate up for sale, and move to Chicago. A few of the Brothers remained at the Gresham site for the next few years. In 1972 the remaining Brothers left, and a caretaker was put in charge to oversee the grounds and building. On January 1, 1975, the Menominee Warrior Society seized the vacated Gresham property, taking the caretaker and his family hostage, saying they would hold the facility until the Alexian Brothers turned it over to them. The Alexian Brothers refused to turn the property over to the Menominees and the National Guard was called in which resulted in a one month standoff. An agreement was signed by the Alexian Brothers and the Warriors, selling the deed to the Menominee Tribe for one dollar. The Menominee Tribe held the land for five months, but due to lack of funds and support was forced to relinquish all ownership of the estate. On October 12, 1975, the mansion caught on fire and much of the insides were destroyed. Many feel that because of all this negative energy, this might be the reason why people feel that the Novitiate is haunted. While standing inside it's now empty shell, Some feel extreme sadness, while others just get a unwanted feeling and need to leave right away.

~Hayward~
Lac Courte Oreilles Casino - The casino is built on land where a haunted farmhouse used to stand. Employees have heard heard footsteps and seen apparitions inside the casino after closing hours.

~Howard~
The Phantom Train - In the old duck creek train station, now turned into a furniture re-upholstery shop, Sightings of a ghost of a old man (possibly a former employee) has been reported. Supposedly the spirit claims that this is his home and he is not leaving. Also sightings a woman, dressed in old style clothes, carrying a parasol, has been witnessed outside the building pacing back and forth, as if she was waiting for the train. It is said that at 12 o'clock, you can feel the rumbling of a phantom train passing the station.

Wietor Wharf - People get uneasy feelings while walking down the boardwalk such as nausea, feel like they are being watched, and that they have to leave right away. Weird mists and lights have been reported. Rumors of a young boy who had drowned in the nearby lake also add to haunting

~Institute~
Institute Saloon - Former owner Mable still haunts the saloon, mainly the womans bathroom opening a closing the stall doors and toilets flushing. Others have said they have heard voices come from behind the bar, and others have seen shadows of people who are not there. A bartender told me that in life Mable was a big fan of vodka, and now he often finds empty bottles inside of the tanks of toilets, a favorite hidding spot of Mable's.

~Kewaunee~
The Historic Karsten Inn - Agatha haunts the third floor, opening and closing doors at night. A mischievous spirit, she reportedly knocked over sugar bowls or salt shakers to tease the kitchen staff. A alarm clock in Agatha's room goes off every night at midnight, even if it is unplugged. She materializes in the lobby or her room, and third-floor guest diaries frequently mention these encounters. The spirit of a small boy, believed to be the son of the first owner, has also been seen playing in the hallways

~Lac du Flambeau~
Lake of Torches Casino - The building where the bingo hall is located is said to be haunted. Many customers have reported seeing apparitions. Employees have been pushed and pitched by something unseen. Cleaning supplies often gets moved around. The ghost of a woman has been seen in the bingo hall.

~Ladysmith~
El Rancho Hotel - In the 1930s a bar called the Bloody Bucket located nearby the location of the present hotel. One night a bartender told the owner that a customer wanted to met with him in his cattle barn. (the owner raised and sold cattle on the side) When the owner arrived at his barn, he was murdered with an ax. The killer was never caught, but the prementioned bartender later married the owner's widow and they sold the bar and left town. Ever since then the ghost of a man in a red flannel shirt has been seen at the hotel and nearby trailer court.

~Land O' Lakes~
Summerwind - First made famous by the book "The Carver Effect", Summerwind went one to become Wisconsin's most famous haunted house. Robert Lamont built the mansion back in 1916, but soon realized that the land must have been cursed. Lamont fired two shots one night at a ghost that appeared in the kitchen. The house had many owners over the years, but it wasn't until Raymond Bober started to remodel the home into a bed & breakfast that the spirit of Jonathan Carver first appeared. The ghost said that this was his property and he did not wasn't anyone living on it. According to the phantom, the Sioux Indians had deeded him the northern third of Wisconsin when he negotiated a peace between two tribes. The deed was in a black box sealed under the foundation of Summerwind. This box was never found. Summerwind was struck by lightning and burned down in June 1988. Only the foundation and two thirty- foot-high stone chimneys remain.

~Madison~
The Bar Next Door - Originally named "The Wonder Bar" it was owned by Roger "terrible" Tuohey, arch foe of Al Capone. Built as a safe house for gangsters, the building was supposedly bullet proof along with many hidden compartments and secret tunnels. Rumor has it that a body is buried behind a fireplace in the banquet room. the apparitions of a man in a trench coat and fedora, and of a woman in a white dress with long red hair have been seen. footsteps have been heard and strange smells and stuff being moved around have been witnessed.

~Manitowish Waters~
Little Bohemia - In 1834, Notorious Gangsters John Dillinger, Tommy Carroll, Baby Face Nelson, Three Finger Jack, and Homer Van Meter rented a cabin at Little Bohemia. The owner recognized the gangsters, and made the mistake of tipping off the authorities. Government agents rushed in and open fired on what they thought was Dillinger and his gang, but actually was workers of the lodge. Now a days, guests have reported seeing apparition, hearing strange noises and voices, and having items misplaced.

~Maribel~
Hotel Hell - The Maribel Caves Hotel was first built back in 1900 by the Steinbreckers, it was a health spa, and retreat for clergy. But in 1927, the hotel was sold, and became a hangout for bootleggers, prostitutes, and mobsters. Al Capone and John Dillinger are even rumored to have frequented the hotel! In 1985 when it was run as a bar named "The Caves" the hotel caught fire and the interior was destroyed. The stories about the hauntings are numerous, but include ghosts roaming the front lawn, ghosts that look out the windows, the ghost of a little boy playing on the stables, a "portal to hell" located in the fountain in front of the hotel, cold hands applying pressure to your back, the sounds of footsteps, ringing bells, rolling wheels, whispers, screams, have been heard inside the hotel, objects levitating and moving, books bursting into flames, and the ghost of a "burnt man" that will chase you out of the building! Two dares state that (1) if you shine a flashlight into the third floor far left window, a ghost will shine a light back at you, and (2) If you sit on the road in front of the hotel on Halloween night, at midnight you will see the ghostly flames of the fire that destroyed the hotel! (I was there last halloween but never saw the flames)

Maribel Caves Park -
Several apparitions have been reported in and around the caves. Some have seen a little girl dressed in black playing on the stairway leading down to the caves. if she is approached, she will vanish. It is said that another little girl in a white dress was taken into the woods, raped, and then murdered. Her spirit now wanders the woods. The ghost of a gentleman has been seen inside the caves. It is believed that he is a photographer who used to take pictures in the caves back in the 1800s. People have reported seeing gnomes running around in the woods nearby the caves

~Menomonie~
Devil's Punch Bowl - People have reported seeing gnome-like creatures running around while at the punch bowl. The gnomes often run away after being spotted. Other people have seen glowing orbs of light, and some said that these orbs have followed them back to the parking lot. It is also said that water collected from the punch bowl will stay the same temperature as the day it was collected.

Mabel Tainter Theater -
The theater is believed to be haunted by the spirit of Mabel Tainter, although she had never been in the building. Mabel died in 1886, and the theater was built in 1889 by Andrew Tainter as a tribute to his daughter. Staff members and actors have reported seeing strange lights and apparitions in the theater, and several times the security alarms have been set off, even though nobody was inside the building.

~Meridean~
Meridean Boat Landing - Named after a little girl named Mary Dean who had committed suicide and is now believed to haunt the island and boat landing. After her death, several ferries mysterious disappeared, which resulted in the ferry crossing to the island being shut down. Another story is that of a sanitarium that was run on the island by a doctor who own several dogs. These dogs are now said to haunt the area as "Hellhounds" ( Ghostly black dogs with glowing eyes)

~Minocqua~
Tula's Cafe - Many believe that a man died in the restaurant years ago, and has haunted the restaurant ever since. One person reported seeing a strange mist in the back hallway. Employees have said that things tend to move around and are never found where the employees left them.

~Muskego~
Haunchyville - Since the early 50s there have been stories since about a mysterious neighborhood near Muskego Lake, just off Mystic Drive filled with tiny houses built for small people who used to be employed in the circus. Legend has it that if you trespass into this little neighborhood, a fully grown man would come out of a cornfield to shoot you with a shotgun, along with the tiny residents who try to club you to death with baseball bats.

~Oostburg~
Veterans Park - It is said that years ago a homeless man drowned in the shallow creek in the park. Ever since, people have claimed to see his ghost walking on the banks of the creek. They say that if he is approached, he will walk into the creek and disappear into thin air.

~Oshkosh~
Grand Opera House - This historic theater is believed to be haunted by it's former workers and actors. Many different apparitions have been witnessed through out the building. The spirit most often seen is that of Percy Keene, who was involved with the Grand from 1895 till 1967 when he died. A phantom dog is also said to wander the building.

New Moon Cafe - Staff members have claimed to see the apparition of a young man dressed as a bellboy in the downstairs of the building. Many customers have seen the ghost of a elderly woman in the main lobby. A woman by the name of Mrs. Paige did in fact die in the building back in 1880.

Starseed -
Believed to be haunted by a young child who died accidentally after falling down the stairs. others have witnessed a phantom cat roaming the building. Staff members have reported hearing footsteps upstairs when nobody was up there, and lights that turn off and on by themselves.

~Phillips~
Concrete Park - The park contains over 200 statues created by Fred Smith, who was a self taught sculptor and made the statues out of wood frames covered in mink wire, and then covered them with concrete and other junk materials like broken beer bottles. After his death in 1976, some think that Fred may still haunt the park. People have heard strange noises and seen shadowy figures in the park. Some have seen vaporous apparitions, while others have claimed the actually saw some of the statues come alive and move around!

~Pine Grove~
Pine Groove School House - Apparitions and other "shadowy figures" have been reported inside the old abandoned school house. One person stated that they took some of the old alphabet letters from off the wall, and continued to have extremely bad luck until the letters where returned to the school house.

~Plainfield~
Clark's TrueValue - in 1957, Ed Gein shot and killed Bernice Worden inside this hardware store after stoping in the buy anti-freeze. Ed was caught because he left the receipt on the counter. People have now said to have seen apparitions of Bernice inside
to store carrying order forms and talking about anti-freeze.

Ed Gein's Property - On the wooded property where Ed Gein's old farmhouse once stood, people have claimed to have seen eerie lights and heard strange sounds in the
woods. Others have captured "orbs" in photographs taken on the property.

~Saint Nazianz~
JFK Prep - Founded by Rev. Ambrose Oschwald in 1854, it was first known as the Society of the Divine Savior. In 1909 the became a school and was renamed Salvatorian Seminary. In the mid 70s it was renamed JFK Prep Academy. There are now rumors that the nuns used to beat, and kill the young students and supposedly one nun was so grief stricken that she hung herself. She has reportedly been seen wandering the halls as well as the children playing. Cries of the children have been heard and "shadow people" have been seen. Another rumor is that of the "Satan room" in where a young priest had a encounter with Satan, and boarded up the room the next day.

~Sheboygan Falls~
Spook lights - Back in the 1800's, a man working on a caboose, fell off.  As he was lying unconscious, another train was coming. The man was decapitated as his head flew about 200 feet away. Now a days, You can see his spirit searching the railroad tracks for his lost head using his old railroad lantern.

~Sheboygan~
The American Club - The the oldest part of the hotel, the east wing, is said to be haunted.  A woman hung herself in room 209. Her spirit is often seen in that room. She is also seen standing by the fireplace in the room known as the Washington room. Also, a woman was murdered in room 315. The spirit of a man can be seen walking down the hall coming from that direction.

U.S. Bank - Formily known as the First Star bank, it is haunted by Duke, a janitor that worked there until the day he died. He's fond of shaking certain doors and occasionally moving things.

Yacht club -
They have problems with lights being turned back on after turning them off. Some have feelings that someone was watching them. One night a worker saw a figure of a man in the basement prior to closing up.

~Stevens Point~
The Hilltop pub & grill - Years back, a bus driver had a stroke while driving past, and crashed through the restaurant. it is now believed that because of the accident, the restaurant is now haunted! Doors opening by themselfs, items moving, falling, and disappearing, and strange noises have been witnessed by many. Once a waitress saw
a man standing in a doorway that looked up, smiled and then faded as he walked away.

~Sturgeon Bay~
Sherwood Point Lighthouse - Henry Stanley ran the lighthouse from 1883 until his death in 1895. Henry's niece, Minnie Hesh fell in love the assistant lighthouse keeper William Cochems. Apon Henry's death, William became the official lighthouse keeper and Minnie moved in with him, and stayed until her death in 1928. It is now said that Minnie still haunts the lighthouse. Her apparition has been seen in her old bedroom. Lights flicker, doors open and close by themselves, and objects disapear and reappear in other parts of the house. Some say Henry may also be haunting the lighthouse.

~Superior~
Fairlawn Mansion - Lumber baron Martin Pattison Built the mansion in 1891 for his wife Grace, and their 6 children. Martin often sponsored Scandinavian immigrants to America by paying their passage to the country in return for a period of service at their home. It has been said that Martin Pattison was a very kind man and treated the immigrants more like members of the family than hired help. It is believed that a servant girl is said to have been murdered by her husband, shortly after leaving the sanctuary of the Pattison home. It is believed that she has returned to Fairlawn Mansion because it was one of the only places that she knew happiness in her short life. She is dressed in period costume and is often mistaken for a museum guide, as she often helps visitors find specific displays and then she simply vanishes. After Martin's death in 1918, Grace then donated the mansion to the city of Superior to be used as a orphanage. It is also said that the ghosts of two children are often seen and heard playing near the old swimming pool in the basement. Some believe that they may have accidentally drowned while living at the orphanage, but that is impossable, because the pool was drained at that time. Although some say that there is no proof that any children ever died in the house, the records from that time period have been sealed by the county.

~Wausau~

Forest Park Village - Apparitions are often seen in the elevator, as well as shadowy figures in the windows. Strange sounds can be heard in the halls. Most can feel cold spots and uneasy feelings while in the building. It is said that a cult of 13 people were arrested in the old hospital morgue on Halloween night back in the 80s. Forest Park Village was a old abandoned hospital back in the 80s.

The Grand Theater - Haunted by a ghost named "Larry" who was a former stage manager. Larry has been witnessed through out the building, but is most often sighted watching rehearsals either from the wings, the lighting rack, or from the stage.

Marathon County Historical Society Library - The library is located in the old Woodson mansion. Some have said that they have heard a telephone ringing, but after going into the room, could not find a phone. Footsteps have been heard in the upstairs hallway and on the main staircase. Strange odors have been smelled upstairs , and the door alarm often goes off by itself.

Marathon County Historical Society Museum - The museum is actually the old Yawkey mansion. In this old mansion things tend to move by themselves, such as books and soda bottles. The smell of pipe smoke was once reported. Mr. Yawkey used to smoke pipes in his lifetime.

Rogers Theater - Apparitions of a man have been seen in the basement auditorium. One person said that they were pushed out the doors by something. Feelings of being watched have been reported. In one case, workers have witnessed all the seats in the theater opening and closing by themselves.

Shephard & Schaller Sporting Goods - Haunted by a ghost named "Eddie" who happens to be a prankster. Pens and keys often go missing, only to turn up in other parts of the store. Once a employee left his can of soda, and when he came back, he found a "ring" of soda around the can. Dogs will bark at nothing. The door alarm will go off by itself.

The Wausau Club - Haunted by "Martha", a lady who committed suicide in a guest room in the north wing. Her ghost is often seen in the doorway of this room, as well as on the grand staircase. She often turns on lights, swings light fixtures, and moves items. Cold spots are often felt through out the building.

Wausau Municipal Airport - Archie Towle, the airport manager, died in a crash in 1945. He now haunts a hanger at the airport. Footsteps have been heard, as well as a water faucet that turns itself on. After recent renovations, Archie has been heard pounding on the walls of the building.

~Wisconsin Rapids~
Hotel Mead - The Shanghai room in the basement is said to be haunted. It is said that a bartender had been stabbed to death in this room. People have experienced lights flickering, doors shutting by themselves, cold spots, and a smell of blood while in the room
