My name is Marissa Quick, obviously. I'm a junior at the lovely Pocono Mountain West High School. My birthday is October 11, therefore I am currently 17 years old. Like most of the people who live here, I am not originally from the Poconos. I happen to be from the neighbor of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or as I like to call it, the Garbage State. (New Jersey's nickname is the Garden State, but to put it simply, there's more garbage than gardens, hence the name, "Garbage State".

I grew up in a teeny tiny town called Oxford. You could always find someone prepared to gossip if you went downtown to the Busy Bee, the town's convenience store. I have lived with my grandparents since I was about 2 years old. With lots of love, they finally adopted my two sisters and I in 1996. My family and I moved to the Poconos in the summer of 2005. All that summer we renovated the two homes we bought here in the Poconos and luckily finished them during the fall of that year.

I began school at Pocono West on the first day of my sophomore year. I was a bit shakey at first, but I adapted to the diversity and such and actually began to like the Poconos. As I adapted to my new surroundings, luckily my peers adapted to me also; I made some friends had a couple of boyfriends, but now I am currently in a serious relationship and have been for about nine months. I honestly do not see our relationship ending any time in the near or far future. The lucky guy's name is Justin, and he completely has my heart.
