USS Texas is the state ship of Texas. There is a large list
of history regarding it. The USS Texas was the first American battle
ship. USS Texas was adopted in 1995. The USS Texas was authorized by the
United States Congress in the 1880s. The USS Texas was built in the
Navy yards of Norfolk, Virginia. The USS Texas was with a lot of ships
like, USS Maine, USS Marblehead, and USS Brooklyn. On February 15,1911
the USS Texas was renamed USS San Macrosso, so the name USS Texas could be
used for a newer ship. |
